Introduction
For spells i have Flash for all lanes this is standard and is the most useful.
For Top - Teleport not only later in the game is it useful but with your ult you can change a fight almost anywhere on the map.
For Jg - Smite because why would you not take smite?
For Mid - Barrier i choose this becasue it can save you often in mid and also can help on an All-In against a range mid laner, You can also take ignite but i find barrier to be much more useful.

First of All i have seen some guides where they talk about Kayn's Forms early game being weak. I would like to point out unless you get lots of Red or Blue you most likely wont get your form until 10+ minutes. So i will put the Pro's and Con's for Kayn his Blue Form and Red Form.
Kayn (Normal) Pros -
* None (this is only because he has not yet chosen a form and will be very weak)
Kayn (Normal) Cons -
* No Form
* Weak Early
* Damage To Players Is Low
Kayn (Blue) Pros -
* Mobility (compared to Red he can move around the map better.)
* Burst (lethality allows for some crazy burst)
* Escape (He can disengage from fights much easier)
Kayn (Blue) Cons -
* Bad Sustain (long fights are bad for blue kayn)
* All or Nothing (sometimes you will feel you either will kill all enemies or get none)
* Weak After Ult (after using his ult in a fight becomes very weak when passive wears off)
Kayn (Red) Pros -
* Lifesteal (The lifesteal can keep you alive for a longer time)
* Sustain (Due to his passive and lifesteal can fight in longer fights)
* Tank Destroyer (Tanks health drops quick to Red Kayn)
Kayn (Red) Cons -
* Kite (He gets kited very easy)
* No disengage (If E is down no way out, even then the E does not last long enough)
* Not Convention Tank (He is not a normal tank he is a lifestealer)

Well how much farm you get depends on how well you can last hit, lets just put that aside. Kayn can CS very easy, he runs into a problem with getting out traded. Top lane it depends on the champion that your going against. If its an Garen you can poke and trade and still get some CS if your versus a Fiora she can almost out-trade you most fights so trying to go for last hits its hard. So overall his ability to farm in top lane depends on the matchup that your playing and if the enemy decides to keep you from getting last hits.
Mid Lane for the most part in low elo people will just try to fight and get kills so your chance of actually farming is little because they will always trade with you. The majority of mid lane champs will be ranged so in most cases you lose the trades, Most matchups mid have you at your tower waiting for a gank. Overall mid lane farm is about sitting back and learning to farm under your tower very well.
Jg i already went over the Jungle path before but i would like to go into how to do some of the camps. While you should be kiting almost all the camps try your best if your on raptors to focus the large bird, this is because your Q should be able to kill the small ones while doing so. The only time this would change is level 1 where u may have missed a hit on one and need to kill it to level up quicker. The Red buff after raptors at level 2, If you took W you will have to kite the buff around and smite to get the kill, if you took E you should still kite but it makes up for the fact if your not good at kiting mobs.

Kayn's skills have specific changes during the game depending on if you choose to go Red Form or Blue Form Im going to explain all of them for you.
Passive - Kayn
* Kayn wields an ancient, sentient weapon, that battles with him for control. Dealing damage against champions causes them to drops orbs that are automatically collected upon leaving combat (including after Kayn's own death), filling a bar above Kayn's portrait.
Once the bar is full he can choose to either be overwhelmed by Rhaast or expel him to become the Shadow Assassin, based on whether he has damaged more melee or ranged champions, respectively. Once primed, the other option becomes available after 4 minutes.
The transformation can only be performed by interacting with their portrait while on the summoning platform, permanently changing their abilities.
The passive will change once he has chosen a side Blue or Red.
Passive Red Form - Rhaast
* Rhaast heals for 26% - 43% (based on level) of the post-mitigation damage that he deals with spells against enemy champions.
Passive Blue Form - Shadow Assassin
* Kayn's basic attacks and abilities deal 12% - 44% (based on level) of post-mitigation damage as bonus magic damage, lasting for 3 seconds upon entering in combat with an enemy champion, refreshing after 8 seconds out of combat with them or by using Umbral Trespass.
Q - Reaping Slash
* Kayn dashes forward, dealing physical damage to all enemies he passes through before flourishing his scythe, dealing the same damage again to surrounding enemies. Regardless of the form, both instances of Reaping Slash deals 55 bonus damage against monsters.
Red Form Q
* Both instances of Reaping Slash's damage are modified to 50% AD (+ 5% (+ 4% per 100 bonus AD) of target's maximum health) physical damage, capped against monsters.
Blue Form Q
* Reaping Slash is unchanged.
W - Blade's Reach
* After a short delay in which he can't perform any other actions, Kayn performs an upwards sweep with his scythe, dealing physical damage to all enemies in a line and slowing them by 60%, decaying over 1.5 seconds.
Red Form W
* Blade's Reach knocks up enemies for 1 second.
Blue Form W
* Blade's Reach's range is increased by 200, deals an additional 10% bonus AD damage and the slow decays over 2 seconds. Additionally, Kayn conjures a living shadow at the casting position to perform Blade's Reach in his stead, allowing Kayn to perform other actions.
E - Shadow Step
* Kayn gains 40% bonus movement speed, is ghosted and can ignore terrain collision for 1.5 seconds. Immobilizing effects will interrupt Shadow Step.
Kayn heals himself upon moving through terrain for the first time and, if he's not in combat with enemy champions, Shadow Step's duration is increased.
Red Form E
* Shadow Step is unchanged.
Blue Form E
* Casting Shadow Step removes slows and makes Kayn immune to them for the duration. Additionally, entering terrain will increase the bonus movement speed to 70% for the remaining duration.
R - Umbral Trespass
* Passive: Kayn's basic attacks and abilities against champions apply Umbral Trespass for a few seconds.
Active: Kayn infests a marked enemy champion for up to 2.5 seconds, revealing them and becoming untargetable for the duration. Reactivating Umbral Trespass ends it earlier.
Upon reactivation or at the end of the duration, Kayn wrenches himself free from their body in the cursor's direction, dealing physical damage to the target
Red Form R
* Umbral Trespass damage is modified to deal 10% (+ 13% per 100 bonus AD) of target's maximum health physical damage, and heals him for 70% of the pre-mitigation damage.
Blue Form R
* Umbral Trespass gains 200 bonus range and emerging from the target resets The Darkin Scythe cooldown (Blue Forms Passive).
I found the best combo for me was to W > Q > AA > Q > R. Although i would not use the R unless i thought they would get away or not die without me using it. R has a short cooldown so if you do have to use it dont worry.

The way you build your skills is not always stuck to what lane your going but also the opponents you face. if you find yourself against many melee you should max out the Q to maximize your damage. and you should do the same for W against ranged. Also while in the jungle if you still find yourself having trouble with taking a full clear Smiting Red and Blue Buff you could take your E after killing raptors to make the clear easier.
Kayn is a champion who needs to work very well with his team. He can be a great tank or assassin, but he needs to have some support from his team. Almost all champions are like this but when I play Kayn I feel a need for support more. He pairs very well with almost any other tank who can move quickly or lockdown other players. Volibear is a great example he would let him run in slow and throw an opponent then either lock them down more or assassinate them. So fast tanks are great for Kayn almost any support works well with Kayn. Thresh will lock people down and make it easy for you to kill. If you know your going Red Kayn, Yasuo is also fun to play with. The key to teamwork with Kayn is finding players and champions to take away from your weaknesses.
