Hello! My name is Justin and I have been playing League since September 2015. I recently picked up Kog'Maw, and as an ADC main I love this guy. I have learnt a few tricks with this guy I am eager to share. I may be bronze 4 at the time of writing this guide but I still want to share some of my knowledge of this champion :P.

The Reason I have a chapter dedicated to Kog'Maw is because people are torn within AD or AP Kog'Maw. The answer depends on the individual match. Masteries can only favour one build at a time. The Masteries above are for AP Kog'Maw, so those abilities get a bit of extra damage by the thunder lords. AD Kog'Maw, you take typical ADC Masteries. No need to change the runes around, they compliment both builds very well. For AD, feel free to replace the Attack Speed marks for attack damage.

Quinsoo's Rageblade - Always buy this item, does consistant damage and makes your Q. E and R worth a damn.

Nashor's Tooth - This item you should only get for an AP build, because if you get it for AD your missing out on some AD for a little bit of AP which isn't really worth it.

Runan's Hurricane - This item is extremely useful, and you can even get it for an AP build. The passive allows you to deal a lot of damage in team fights to multiple targets.

Zhonya's Hourglass - Situational item, but luckily works for both builds. If assassins are giving you a hard time, this will help. Also gives AP.

Flash - Obviously
Heal - Keeps you healthy
Ignite - Option for AD Kog, for those enemies that survive your passive

If your target is immobile, you can flash behind them if you are losing the trade to catch up to them easier with your passive and they won't have a lot of options as to where to run and most likely they will have to take the L.
