Why Lux bot?

Me and my Fiance like duoing bot together and I just got the Elementalist Lux skin. I still wanted to duo bot but I wanted to play with my new skin. We have been playing Lux + Support bot in Platinum elo extensively and I believe we have found a consistent way to make it work.

Synergies

Lux is best with someone that can provide CC and additional damage. The CC allows Lux to easily land her binding and the damage helps Lux finish kills because she has no sustained damage.

Because of these reasons champions like: Blitzcrank, Lulu, Karma, Malzahar, Zyra, Brand, Leona and Nautilus all work very well with lux.

When playing ADC Lux you need someone who can peel for you and help you CC the enemy.
Champions like Janna, Braum, Alistar, Lulu, Karma, Malzahar, Thresh, and Taric all work well with ADC Lux.

How to choose between AP or AD Lux bot

When you pick lux watch what champions your allies pick. If you have someone like Orianna or Syndra mid you should probably play AD Lux. If you have a Talon mid you should probably play AP Lux. Try to aim for 2 sources of magic damage and 2 sources of physical damage on your team.

This is where things get tricky because your runes will vary greatly depending on what you are laning against.

Laning with AP and AP

When playing AP Lux bot you are looking to harass with your E and passive until they are low enough for you and your support to CC them to death.

When playing AD Lux you want to poke and out trade with your Q and W and auto them while they are snared. Once they are low land a binding and go in for the kill. Make sure you ward up before you all in because you have no escape if you get ganked.
