Champion Build Guide
Introduction
Hi I'm Jeonghyeo and although I've been playing since season 4 I didn't play much ranked in the early days. I always enjoyed off meta picks such as one-shot Thresh, AP Sejuani or lethality Ornn. I'm now trying to climb the ladder with some of these unusual picks and these include one of my favourite champions, Xin Zhao. I hope I'm not the only one playing Xin mid and this build will be helpful for those who need it. Keep in mind that this build may not be as effective in high end tiers as it is up to plat.
Should you pick Xin mid?
Hell yeah, however you should make sure your team has an AP jungler/toplaner stuff like
Teemo,
Kennen,
Rumble,
Elise,
Sylas,
Diana, et cetera works.
Try to win mid then transfer your advantage to bot or top as you have nice gank potential.
In teamfights you engage with e ult on the enemy carry and your team will follow most of the times.

Pro's and Con's
Pros
Constant engage threat
Can adapt to be tanky
Scales well into late
Can roam and punish the enemy jungler
Cons
You essentially give up the AP burst of your team and your top or jungler should be AP
Hard to get back into the game if you lose the lane
Your team will probably think you are trolling
You have no escape from ganks apart from ult

Runes
Primary
-
Hail of Blades is almost a guarantee that you will proc the knock-up of
Three Talon Strike so I choose it over the other
Domination keystones
-
Sudden Impact procs with e essentially every time you use it so it's an obvious choice
-
Eyeball Collection Helps with some damage that you may lack going tanky
-I take
Relentless Hunter for the roaming potential and, as I often go with
Ignite, to get back on lane faster.
Ravenous Hunter is an excellent choice as well
Secondary
-
Legend: Alacrity for more attack speed to proc your
Determination
-
Coup de Grace enemy ADC's hate this,
other options:
Triumph instead of
Coup de Grace or
Legend: Bloodline instead of
Legend: Alacrity
