Lets now start with our OP Briar Build guide and how to win games easier than ever!

After seeing Briar I was sure she will make a perfect champion that will fit our gamestyle and of course builds!
So I created different kind of build version for us to enjoy and maximize Briar potential, by combining, On-Hit Blade of the Ruined King effect, 48%+ Armor Reduction effects from Black Cleaver and Head Rush, healing effects from Conqueror, Blade of the Ruined King, Blood Frenzy and then multiply these effects with Spirit Visage and Revitalize for 40%+, while also having slow effects from Serylda's Grudge and lastly a huge amount of tenacity from Mercury's Treads and Legend: Tenacity you will make Briar literally unstoppable!!

Lets now explain which runes will make Briar more of a monster than she already is!

Now lets start with the Important stuff, which runes to play for Briar and why!
We got plenty of build runes versions as you can see above, but the most balanced between damage and sustain will be the one that I will describe now.

For Briar we will focus on playing with the combination of Presicion and Resolve:

For Precision:

Conqueror One of the most powerful runes that you can pick for Briar, you will have bonus AD but also bonus healing after fully stacking it, something that you will do with ease, cause you can use your skills and hits to get your stacks, this rune together with Revitalize will give you the sustain needed to overpower any champion!

Triumph Another powerful rune, Bonus %Max hp and %Missing Hp HEAL and also GOLD with each takedown (Kill or assist), this heal will be multiplied by Revitalize and Spirit Visage by 40+%!

Legend: Tenacity A must to have, no matter what, bonus Tenacity that together with Mercury's Treads will let you have 44% Tenacity making you avoid any kind of CC and allow Briar to keep hitting to the target for as many times as possible!

Coup de Grace, while Last Stand and Cut Down are bonus good options, Coup de Grace will give you damage while the enemy is with LOW HP, something that they will be, cause you will instant delete them by just pressing W-Q-HIT-HIT-W and that will make then be bellow 40% easily.

For Resolve:

Bone Plating A rune not useful for most, but one of the best choices for Briar and her character design, your main objective as Briar is to engage to the target with your W, Bone Plating will let you avoid some of the damage that you will receive while they are start fighting back and that will let you be full hp, even after finishing the target with them!

Revitalize The MOST Powerful rune for Heal type champions and especially for Briar, multiply your heals and shield (From allies or items) by 5% to 15%, that together with Spirit Visage that is a core item for Briar will let you push this number to OVER 40%, making just your Blood Frenzy to heal for insane numbers even if you got heal reduction against you!!


Now lets explain how and why we choose the items for [Briar]] and how to utilize her potential and kit!

As we talked above, our main objective is to increase our DAMAGE but also the SUSTAIN by combining on-hit, armor reduction/pen and healing effects!
Thats why the items choices will be towards that direction, lets start.

For start items, always play with Doran's Blade, this will give you AD, HP and Omnivamp, as a champion that hits and skills are both the damage sources, then to have the omnivamp from early, will let you overpower most of the champions at level 3, the healing from doran's blade, a super gold efficient item, will also be multiplied from lvl 1 till you sell it from Revitalize and later on if you still have with from Spirit Visage that will increase the stat value even further!!

For the first back, I am personally going for Cull and Boots or Long Sword to increase my AD, HP, HEAL ON-HIT effect and to also have Cull to sell it and get one of my core items after fully stacking it!

Our first core item that we will finish no matter the build or role we are playing with, will be Blade of the Ruined King, Briar as a champion that using tons of hits to apply damage and with a very high attack speed, will fully use this item to not only apply on-hit effects, but also have lifesteal and a SLOW-MS bonus effect after hitting the target 3 times!!

Our Second core item, will be Trinity Force, another item that fitting Briar kit perfectly, you will increase your AD, HP, Attack speed, Movement speed, even bonus AD and a 200% Damage effect after using your Skills, something that you will do non-stop, the combinating of Trinity Force, Blade of the Ruined King and your Blood Frenzy will let you have all the bonus movement speed effects to not reach the target and secure killing it no matter how fast or how many dashes they got!!

Along the way, dont forget to update your boots, always go for Mercury's Treads, tenacity is a stat that Briar need to always stay on the target without be stopped, by combining your Legend: Tenacity rune you will have up to 44% tenacity, to make youself unstoppable while also increasing your MR!

Our Third and most important item for Briar will be Spirit Visage, this item will give you HP, MR, Ability haste and 25% Increase HEALING from any source, be it your healing effects, or from your allies, making you reach numbers for %40+ by combining your Revitalize rune as well!

For fourth Core item, we will play with the Black Cleaver, this item will increase your AD, HP, ABILITY HASTE, give you ms bonus effect but also reduce the target's armor by 30%, together with your Head Rush, you will drop enemies armor for up to 48%, making them have the lowest armor possible for you to apply the damage needed to destroy them (This armor reduction effect will apply on the target and increase yours but also the damage that comes from all physical sources, that includes creeps, towers but also your ally champions)

For Last item you got multiple options, lets talk about them and how to choose them.

1. Serylda's Grudge the first and personal favorite one, will be Serylda's Grudge, this item will increae not only your AD, Ability haste and %armor penetration, but also will give you a slow effect that will help you as Briar to not let your FOOD get away!! Making it the perfect combination for your kit, but also with the rest of your items that will give you except the 48% armor reduction effect a 30% armor penetratin effect to do as much physical damage as possible vs any target, be it a full tank or not!
2. Death's dance Another good option, bonus AD, Armor, Ability haste, Burst to damage per second effect and healing after getting a kill or assist, this item will help you heal from the target you received after going all in and increse this healing even further from revilitaze and Spirit Visage
3. Axiom Arc An unexpected item, that is also good if you are a jungler, bonus AD, Ability haste, lethality and the ability to reduce your CD of your R with each kill or assist, making you use your R with a CD as low as to 15seconds and be a global terror on the map!
4. Guardian Angel if your item needs for you to take all the focus, then to have Guardian Angel will save you life, but also your games, bonus ad, armor and the ability to revive, making it a little bit easier for you to play more aggro and make plays and win games!

Now you got everything that you need to know about Briar and how to combine her Skills, runes and items to make her an absolute unstoppable monster, no matter what you got against you, or what kind of cc they will use, with our build you will make sure to delete them, while having the best possible sustain and damage!!

Briar is a very special champion, the only one that you will use control and hit the enemy target non-stop without the ability to control Briar. Of course, this is not true at all, there are plenty ways to control her and know EXACTLY that you are doing.

Your Blood Frenzy will force the enemy champion for 5 seconds, to control which champion to focus, or to focus the creeps, you need to use your Q Head Rush, your Q will redirect the attack and Briar will focus only that target.
Now if you dont want to keep chasing the target and end up under tower, or on a strange situation, then you got another way to stop hitting the enemy targets (be it champions or creeps, depends when you will use your Q), this is to press E Chilling Scream and not only Heal, reduce the damage that you are taking but also do a huge amount of damage, especially if you aim to hit the enemy targets in front of you towards the wall and also CC them.
Chilling Scream is a very powerful tool, that will save you multiple times just by using it right. By using your E, you will instantly stop the Blood Frenzy or the Certain Death full focus on one target and let you regain the control of Briar to either engage again, or simply use your skills to focus on a diffent champion.
So the myth that Briar is not a champion that you can't "control", is not true. Not only you can control Briar and hit the targets you wanna, but you will also direct your attacks to any target you want just by using your skills!

Lets talk right now, how to play Briar in lane phase and how to avoid ending up under tower and dying!
Simple combos that you can use in lane phase will be the followings, first of all, start with E and never W or Q, your E will help you avoid damage, heal yourself and win the trade if the enemies decide to attack you lvl 1 with ease.
The main objective to start trade with your enemy laner will be at lvl 3 and if needed level 2 under having your W and E, you can engage with your W, hit as many times as possible, then use your W again and press E to end the effect while also, if possible, aim to hit the enemy target towards the wall to apply even more damage!
After having your ultimate Certain Death you can also start looking for targets around the map to kill, except of your laner (if you are top or mid), if you are jungler, then to use your R for a cross map play will be something that they wont except, especially if you just show yourself TOP and then gank BOT with it!!

Briar will with ease going to overpower any target at lvl 5, at level 9, that you will have max level of your Blood Frenzy and some items will be even easier. What you need to avoid is fighting lvl 1 or lvl 2 and just wait for your level 3 to have Q-W-E ready to use!

The combo will start with always W first, hit one time, then instant, Q, then hit two more items, press W again to do the burst damage of the second W effect Snack Attack and then PRESS E to stop the effect of chasing the target.
This will let you do a huge amount of damage, but also heal yourself and AVOID any damage possible cause of the E Chilling Scream damage reduction effect!!

In every fight, after using your W or R to chase a target, redirect with your Q Briar to chase the lowest hp target, this will let you do an even more amount of damage cause of how your W second effect Blood Frenzy that increase its damage and HEAL while target got lower amount of hp!

To keep it short, practice will let you fully control Briar, if you want to not chase the enemy champion the moment you press W then you can just simply use your Q to the creeps, this will make Briar to hit only the creeps and not bother with the champions till the entire enemy wave is dead! A super powerful tool to use, especially if you wanna farm close to your tower, while the enemy champion is fully pushing you there!

Now you got everything that you need to know about Briar, what you need is practice, start learning how to use the champion right and also know the powerspikes from items and levels. After few games you will understand that Briar is one of the most powerful champions in this game and with our builds, she will become EVEN STRONGER and let you destroy any champion with ease even if you had some problems early game!!
