Introduction
Irelia was probably one of the main champions that carried me to the Elo I'm currently in. You may not believe this but in Season 2 I was in Bronze, S4 Silver S5 Plat. It was quite the massive jump because in S4 was the feral flare faze. The Trick2g Godyr was the ultimately the main reason. But when i didn't get Jungle, It was Irelia that I constantly played. I hope this guide pulls you out of the Elo you're currently In and Into a higher one!!
Runes
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
I take Mark of Attack Damage because It helps me last hit minions. Irelia probably has one of the most expensive build or build path compared to most top laners. Irelia required to buy an item costs 3800g
Trinity Force probably one of the most expensive cores any toplaners should even have. Not only i take this rune for helping me last hit creep but also trade of attacks, etc. Greater Seal of Armor

Flat runes to keep myself safe in the early game against Ryze/Vladimir/Ekko/Maokai/Rumble,etc any AP toplaners aye. Gotta live another day to cs another wave. GET THAT GOLD RUNNING!
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Same applies or same rule for the mark runes, attack damage. It helps me cs or secure the gold from the minions in lane.

Is definitely essential core for Irelia. Irelia has many kits that allows Sheen to be proc'd many times. This item is almost used by many Irelia builds and guides. It is also one of the times found in the recommended section of the shop.
Allows Irelia to catch up as well as juke because Bladesurge activates the passive which gives her movement speed
sheen's passive spellblade gets proc'd by All of her abilities especially her ult Transcendent Blade.
zeal just allows irelia to have more attack speed. dish out more damage. really works well with Hiten Style
THIS ITEM PARTICULAR OF IRELIAS BUILD IS POWERFUL PRE-SEASON. Right now champions that uses rageblade is overpowering most top laners. Champions like Jax, Xin Zhao, Irelia, Gnar, etc anyone who uses rageblade tends to win their lane. Rageblade works almost well if not better than Ravenous Hydra at this current pre-season to 6. I would consider Rageblade A MUST item. That's only in my opinion.
Irelia needs sustain. I reckon Irelia has one of the strongest mobile top laners. With the help of phage as well as Blade of the ruined king. this helps irelia catch and close the gap between her and her enemy. Quite the useful item. It also shreds the hp of tanks. With the help of Hiten Style this item is quite strong with irelia. So i recommend building this for her.

Helps Irelia sustain longer as she constantly hits minions as well as do more damage when you want to trade or duel your enemy laner. I recommend to max this first. though at some situations you may max E Equilibrium Strike that's only if you have no possible way of winning your lane or to cs and stay in your lane. Max E when you cant win 1v1 so that you can respond with a hard cc when your jungle comes.equilibirum strike I max this second because getting points on
Bladesurge is pretty much a waste or useless. I only use Bladesurge to close gap or free cs if im going to miss it with an auto delay.

I reckon flash is really important because although irelia may have high mobility once she has items, she doesnt have any dashes or whatsoever to dodge projectiles. It heavily requires on orb walks. Would be nice to have flash just incase of times of distress where you really need to break out of fights because youre low / out of position / force fights / etc.
KEY TO SUCCESS IS TEAMWORK AND LANINGmid lane / bot lane might need help so it's really nice if you could respond to their help with a teleport 3v2 or 3v3 anything to put fights into your favor. By helping out lanes, theres a chance you could get kills and assist which will help you furthermore on your build for your core items.
I guess ghost is alright for an alternative choice for flash. but yeah, depends on how good your orb-walk is.
if you plan on dominating your lane you've got to dominant hard 10-0 KDA before 8 minutes or something. because you may win your lane but your other laners might be losing to jungler ganks or something. you've got to dominate so hard you lure players to you so your team mates can safely farm and return to the game.
