Hello, this is my first guide ever created. After the latest patch, the rework on Master Yi makes AP Master Yi extremely useless. That forces Master Yi players to basically go AD. Anyways, I hope you find this guide helpful. R.I.P AP Master Yi ;-;

These are great for farming and helps give you a boost of attack speed against towers
This will usually help you against AD champions in early game. And help you against the creep damage.
These are great glyphs because this will be the only source of Magic Resist you will get.
These quints will again give you a great boost in Attack Speed. From my understanding, it is just more effective for Master Yi.

Increases Attack Speed.
Increases Attack Damage for late game.
Essential Mastery, must needed.
Pretty good mastery for late game.
Gives a small boost of AD for early game.
This will GREATLY help you deal more damage on your crits.
Great mastery overall, helps you in all parts of the game. Increases damage output.
Ehhh, this is a decent mastery. But needed to unlock last mastery in the Offense tree.
The 21st point is obviously the most powerful of all. This will help Master Yi kill even faster! :D

It helps give you a little boost of health, considering the items in this build won't help you.
Gives you a bit of armor, cause you aren't going to get any in this build. But this is really helpful overall.
The next best mastery with Hardiness. Gives you a bit more Magic Resist.
Veteran's Scar I think the little extra health is really helpful during the early laning phase.

Great Choices

I personally find this spell useful in killing champions.

Great summoner because of Yi's lack of any CC. Helps him catch up to enemies or help him during a 1v1 fight.

Basically a must have for most champions. Helps him get in range for his Q to get the kill, or simply to escape. Overall it is a must have.

Ehhh, Maybe

This will solve Master Yi's weakness (CC). But the other spells are more useful in my opinion.

Master Yi is already fast enough. With his base movement speed and his ultimate.

Make Master Yi already faster than he is.

Help you sustain in lane, considering your W is pretty useless. :/

Gives you a bit more attack speed and it is also a tier 2 boot.

The AOE is already useful in a lot of situations, combined with your high attack speed, it is just great.

Stattik Shiv The passive is EXTREMELY USEFUL, nuff said.

Basically a Stattik Shiv with better stats.

Upgraded from your Tiamat, but it is even better :D

Gives you extra AD and critical chance.

Gives you more AD and that extra life steal.

Great item, with the armor penetration, critical chance, and the passive/active.

Last Whisperer This item is great for extra damage and armor stackers.

Auto attacks will slow down enemies, able to get more auto attacks in.

Pros

-Extremely good damage output.
-Farms really well
-Can snowball really well
-High movement speed. (Able to escape well)
-Great split-pusher

Cons

-No CC
-Melee champion to be able to do damage
-May have mana issues
-Needs a lot of farm to be really effective
-Weak against CC, stops his highlander. Except slows. Such as (snared, knocked up, etc.)

Works really well with AD Master Yi's attack speed. Good late and early game.

Now that it scales AD, you can finally deal damage as AD Yi and not feel you are just poking at the enemy.

I feel this skill has gotten a nerf somewhat. It is not as useful before its rework. But its still a good skill to sustain yourself when you are low on HP.

This skill basically increases your attack damage. You can max this first or second on your preference.

This is a GREAT ultimate. You can use it to catch up to your prey, to escape ganks or simple to get to an area faster. This also gives you a reset when you get a kill.

Master Yi is GREAT in farming. Because of his Q and all his AOE items that I put on to this build. You would generally see an increase in creep score compared to other champions.
