This is pure skill match up, but if he is as good as you, he most likely wins. And then will literally do everything you do, but better during the game.
if you re confident you could win, get PTA, and ignite. Go for short trades, all in if he gets to half health. Care for his flash+q.
Champion Build Guide
Plus, renekton scales bad, so you need to maximize the utility out of the items you get. Especially the first 3.
But mechanics, and other stuff is still more important, and you need to focus on that while you play.
So plan the rest in advance during champion select and load screen.
To win the early game you must get an advantage, and set your self up to spread it in the entire map durin the mid game. So that before very late game, you can finish the game.
First, let s define an advantage: advantage depends on who you play. When playing renekton it means making sure you got tons of gold and xp, while making sure the opponent has as little as possible.
For renekton a neutral lane, is a lost lane. Because almost every top laner can, on paper, out scale you, therefore perform better then you, and make a bigger difference.
And losing the lane... its the worst. Ideally, if you cant win 100%, it s better to stabilize the lane. Especially in lower elos this may work too, because the opponent will make errors. But the higher you go, the most you have to actually look to win.
But the more you try to win, the more you ll lose games by accident, but it s ok: with time you ll learn, and win more and lose less.
So, with renekton you always gotta go for the win, to get an advantage and then win in the mid game.
So the advantage we want is mainly gold and XP lead, wich you get only in 3 ways: kills, minions and objective (towers + monsters).
As a renekton, you always want to win, so you want all of those i said: kills, minions and objectives. But do you need all of them to win? no. So, since losing is also very bad, we will get what we need to win, while avoiding losing. And what is the riskiest thing to get? it s kills.
All of this yapping was to make you understand: you dont play for kills. You play for other things. Kills, are only a mean to an end.
Another thing to consider: in solo q, you are alone, and your team is not a reliability (and maybe a liability instead), so you ll want to win, without a team as much as possible. We have left two things to get to win: farm and objectives. Farm, you get alone, but onjectives? turrets yes, but epic monsters no. So dont focus on them. they arent your personal goal. You want to win, and you want to win alone.
So you must get the towers, and you must get the farm. Everything else is a good to have, or a mean to one of your main two ends.
So, how do you get farm and turrets?
What i want to teach you is only how important this is. Dont ignore farming. Always try to improve your cs numbers, to the point you do the right things effortlessly. Then we can focus on the rest.
So, you need to take the tower, and thats, well, complex.
I ll just help you think on two factors:
in a given situation, when you crash the wave under the enemy first tower you can either hit it, or dont hit it. You need to create scenarios where you can hit it.
Usually if you cant it s because A) the jungler came, but well, you cant do much about it, B) the enemy stops you.
So, in this scenarios you need to stop the enemy from being there. You can do that by killing him, or simply forcing him to go back to base.
Telling you how to do all of this is impossible, it depends on way too many factors, but here are some guidelines:
- the best way to force an enemy to go back to base, is to treathen a dive.
- to treathen a dive, the enemy must be diavable, usually that means he is low health.
- to get him to low health you need to trade. but how do you trade?
- in most scenarios there isnt a clear answer, but start by asking your self: do i win long or short trades? if the answe is yes to both of them, go for short trades mainly: you can do them everywhere, in the lane, at any time.
- if you need or want to take a long trade, the best scenario, is to let the enemy push towards you, and then use his wave to all in him with your e, trying to have as much rage as possible avaiable.
- when you can treathen a dive it s simple! Push the wave (possibly stack at least two of them), then dive him if he didnt back, then hit the tower. Or just, hit the tower.
Compliments!
