I've played League of Salt for a few years now and Sion is by far one of my favorite champs. He has one of the best ability kits in the game and while not often in meta he is never considered a bad champ. Playing him in the top lane is fine but I believe his true potential is shown when peeling for an adc as support. I mean he has 2 heavy stuns and a huge slow. Why wouldn't you play him as support?

Passive:Innate, this passive brings him back to life for a short time after taking Farrell dmg. All of his abilities are switched to one that gives him a small boost in attack speed and movement speed.

Soul Furnace: his w gives him a small shield for 6 sec. You can recast W before this shield runs out to do burst dmg around you.

Roar of the Slayer: Sions E allows him to shout out in a line in front of him. Enemies hit if none champion will be thrown back passing through units. This ability slows and decreases armor on enemy champions. His E can be combined with his Q to slow the enemy and then get a full charge of Q off.

Decimating Smash: His Q is a powerful knock up. He can press it to have it just do a slight amount of dmg. The longer you hold it down the longer the knock up and greater the dmg.

Unstoppable Onslaught: Sion charges forward and like play is not effected by cc. The only thing that can stop him is terrain and enemy champions. You can recast it to stop yourself at any time.

The first thing you want to do is try and get an early cheese in the tribush if it's on the enemy side. Your dmg and stun along with your adcs help will usually get you first blood or at least a few flashes. If you can't do the tribush have your adc wait in the middle of lane while you hide in lane bush and do it that way.

Most supports use there control wards to ward river or tribush. Sion should use it to control vision in lane so he can constantly play from the bushes.

Use your ult to gank mid when you can helping your mid laner get ahead.
