Hi, I'm Gary Lee. I like the new Ryze and I just wanted to share his combos because I see a lot of players butchering the champion.

Let's start with the basic rules of combo-ing abilities as Ryze.
RULE ONE Always start combos with Q.
NOTE: The exception to this is if you do not think you will have enough mana to complete the full combo.
RULE TWO Use Q after you cast W or E in offensive combos.
NOTE: This does not apply to rule 3.
RULE THREE When stacking two runes, you will mostly cast E > W.
NOTE: There is never a reason to cast W > E to stack runes for the shield. The cooldown of E is so low that with the extra root time you could cast E > Q again.

NOTE: When you see !! E > Q !!, that means to keep casting E > Q until your W is off cooldown

Lane Harass Combo BREAD & BUTTER
Type: Off. Difficulty: ▓░░░░ Effectiveness: ▓▓▓░░
E > Q
NOTE: This combo is meant to harass your lane opponent in the early game when you do not have a lot of mana.

Teamfight Harass Combo
Type: Off. Difficulty: ▓▓░░░ Effectiveness: ▓▓▓░░
Q > E > E > Q
NOTE: This combo is used to spread flux to the enemy team and then hit the whole team with a Q.

Light CC Harass
Type: Off. Difficulty: ▓▓░░░ Effectiveness: ▓▓▓░░
Q > W > Q > E > Q
NOTE: This combo is a simple lockdown to harass only. This combo should not be used to all-in an enemy.

Heavy CC Harass or Defense
Type: Mix. Difficulty: ▓▓░░░ Effectiveness: ▓▓▓░░
Q > E > W > Q > E > Q
NOTE: This combo is used if the enemy engages on you in lane. This combo is most effective when you snare the enemy while they are in your minions.

Burst Combo MOST USED COMBO
Type: Off. Difficulty: ▓▓▓░░ Effectiveness: ▓▓▓▓░
Q > E > Q > W > Q > !! E > Q !!
NOTE: If you played the last version of Ryze you should be very familiar with this combo.

Knowing these basic combos, and with some practice, you should be able to play Ryze and not be called trash. You can mix and match these basic combos to your need to make new exciting combos

When trying to waveclear with abilities, try to prioritize last hitting in this way.

Here are some properties or reminders of what Ryze's abilities can do.

Your W will have a root duration of 1 second normally and a duration of 2 seconds if cast on an enemy with Flux.

Last hitting a fluxed enemy will only spread the flux if they are killed by an ability. Some people do not know this.
