If you are an unexperienced Riven it might be the worst matchup for you, because he basically beats you everytime due to his high early damage and powerspike. It´s also hard for experienced Riven player´s, but they could handle him if he makes mistakes.

Hey guys my name is Satoyo. My peak was Diamond 2 and i have 1+ Million Mastery points on Riven. I´m playing league since Season 5 and have been enjoying it so far. I apologize in advance because of my english grammar, i learned english in school and wasn´t the best at all. Anyway this is my first guide ever and I hope you like it!. |
I started streaming occasionally a while ago but then I gave up because of my weird schedule (basically whenever i wanted to) and my channel didn´t really grow. But now I decided to stream regularly and build up my own community that I can be proud of.
So please, enable me to chase my dream further!
PROS AND CONS

PROS
+ High burst damage + Great mobility + Mana-less + Low cooldowns once you get cdr + Scales very good with AD + Great kill potential and high influence + CC on 2 Spells Riven is one of these champs that are worth maining because she is never out of meta and you can learn her to perfection. Once you learned you will never stop playing her due to the enjoyment you will receive. |

CONS
- Relatively squishy - No sustain in her kit - High skillcap to master - Extremely weak if set behind - Weak to CC - Vulnerable to Ganks You might face cons of Riven pretty soon if you started playing her. She is hard to play and requires a lot of time to master. She has some bad matchups and can be easily countered by CC because of lacking survivability. |
Summoner Spells
|
FLASH Flash is by far the most important spell to take on almost all champions and Riven is definitely one of them. Engaging, escaping, closing the gap, it has it all. This spell gives the enemies no time to react and is very important for changing the game.

TELEPORT Teleport (A must in this meta in most circumstances) works a lot better when you have to be more passive. Against tanky champs, champs you have a hard time against in lane, or if your just a more passive player in general, Teleport is a great alternative to Ignite. One of the main uses of Teleport in this meta is to help secure the "Dragon Soul". This is the main reason I recommend it now due to just how much of an impact this mechanic has on the game now.

IGNITE Ignite is a little more situational, it gives riven amazing kill pressure and goes hand in hand with aggressive playstyles. Against tanks like Cho'Gath, it falls off immensely after about level 4 or so. Whether it is to help burst an enemy, reducing lifesteal and health regeneration, or just finishing off an enemy, Ignite can do it with style.

Runes

PRECISION
|
Conqueror is the best Rune for Riven overall because she can stack it really fast and gives her bonus AD which scales well with Riven. Besides she gets some spellvamp/lifesteal which is good on Riven too.

Triumph is really good because the HP you recieve after a takedown can be a lifesaver sometimes and it just feels really nice in skirmishes.
|
|
Legend: Tenacity. Legend: Alacrity helps you at fast comboing with less mistakes if you are unexperienced.
|
|
Last Stand became a standard rune on almost every bruiser right now because of its value compared to coup de grace. It is overall just better in the fight and gives you more outplay potential.

|
|
|
Riven is really good with CDR so Cosmic Insight is the best choice.
