Pyke is a very hard match-up for Veigar.Try to ward the lane brush in which he stays the most and stay back.If you want to go pick up a coin from the ground make sure your e is off-cooldown.

One last note:If your whole team is down and the enemy team is pushing hard you shouldn't hesitate to protect your turrets.Remember:It is more useful to defend a turret and die then to walk in circles next to your inhibitor!
