Really strong right now and the physical shield she has is very good against you. She gets her physical shield when she AA so try to get a E stun before she goes in. You can also E her jump but, it is hard to time.
Champion Build Guide
Now I want to thank you for taking the time to click on this guide so I will introduce myself and why I play Sett. I started playing league last year around June 2020 and after my first 6 months of testing out champs, I found Sett. I am a one trick pony Sett player, I will expand my pool of champs in ranked eventually. Other champs I play include Warwick, Pantheonm, Kayn, and Volibear as well. Sett is a beast and honestly kind of broken with the damage he outputs early. I rank in Gold IV so I am not a skillful player however, I hope this HOB Sett guide shows you how to dominate and destroy top lane with it.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback feel free to add me on discord! I will slowly be adding to this guide and making it better so anything said about it is always appreciated!

If you would like to view my OP.GG here is a link. I am not the best player but, I hope this build reaches some people and they can have the fun that I am right now!
HOB: Hail of Blades, the rune that makes Sett the boss
AA: Auto Attack, when you right click on an enemy and your charter attacks them.
AD: Attack Damage, what Sett uses for his abilities and Auto Attacks.
AP: Ability Power, what some champs use for their abilities.
CD/CDR: Cooldown/Cooldown Reduction, how long between ability uses and how much how can reduce the time on abilties.
HP: Health Points, more health and what Sett's W scales off.
Mana: Pool of energy used for abilites, Sett does not have mana.
CC: Crowd control, a general term for taking control over an enemy. AKA a stun.
CS: Creep Score, your last hit on the minions giving you gold.
AS: Attack Speed, how fast you send out auto attacks.
MS: Movement Speed, how fast you walk.
BORK: Blade of the Ruined King, one of the core items.
PS. With your E, try to get a minion or enemy on the other side. Having nothing on the other side only slows which is fine, but to get a full combo you will need to stun.
HOB Combo #1 - E,AA,AA,Q,AA,AA
The main source of damage here, with HOB you get really fast AS and combined with the bork AS and Sett's passive AS with his right punch means you get out 4 autos in 1 second.
HOB Combo #2 - Q,E,AA,AA
If you are chasing someone and they are low you will get a little bit of ms towards enemies and you need to finish them off before they get away. You will not get much damage out of this combo but, if they are low you will kill them.
HOB Combo #3 - E,AA,AA,AA,AA,Q,AA,AA
This one I rarely use, it is way to long to properly use it and they will just run away, combo #4 is a better one to use. The reason for this one is because of HOB you can get out 4 regular AA and then reset them for the AA reset on your Q. I wouldn't recommend as they will just walk away.
HOB Combo #4 - AA,AA,AA,E,AA,Q,AA,AA
This one is almost the same except you save your E for later in the combo. Remember how I said they would walk away? Well that is why you save your E. If you can get on top and start your AA, you get just E them once they try to get away and do your Q AA resets on them!
HOB Combo #5 - R,E,W
Now this is the team fight combo. You are gonna want to R their tank or highest health person into the whole team. Once you do that you need to stun them all so your team can get in. Your R gives 99% slow for 1 s so use the time to line up a good E. Then since they focus you, use your W once at full grit so get a HUGE W off on the whole team! After it depends on the situation you can either AA some squishy's if they aren't dead or finish the tanks off.
HOB Combo #6 - W,Flash
This combo is used rarely but, when used right is very very good! So when you cast your W you have a bit of time before it goes off, during this time you can flash and move your W along with it. So say you do a combo but, they are able to get away while kiting you and now you find yourself with some grit. Get your W ready as you should have saved it and flash right on em, make sure to get the true dmg on top of them. They shouldn't be able to react and you get the kill. A good time is when they go under turret you flash under, kill, and walk away with the big shield you just got!
So there are many play styles for Sett, we have Assassin, Tank, Bruiser, and Support. We are only going over the Bruiser version and Assassin you die to quick and Tank boring but, you generally win.
Now when I say bruiser I mean that slightly, because he play like an Assassin trying to one shot everyone but, he has the health to do so.
Laning Phase
This is your time to shine, Sett is so good early and even more so with HOB. The first step is to be really aggressive. You shouldn't be letting your enemy top be getting cs and to damage when you get the chance. Now you do have to make sure you aren't consistently pushed otherwise, you will be ganked easily. Sett does pretty good with a 2v1 though. Target whoever is lower, if not then lower level, or if you think you can win ult the one who is closest to your tower and flash if you need to, W if you are almost dead and have grit up. Now during the early stages lvl 1-3, you want to try to get some cheese off. Which is HOB combo #1. Use this combo get damage off and unless you think you can kill then back off. Basically keep doing this until lane phase is over. You should think about roaming just don't let the enemy get loads of plates because then the roams are useless.
Mid Game
You should be getting first tower unless one of the other lanes int'd into you or vice versa, however look for roams. If you have TP think about using it at bot lane otherwise help mid and jg. Try to be there for fights but, keep an eye on top in case of split pushing. Split pushing is a very good idea with this build but, make sure to have vision. Otherwise help with objectives and you will be fine.
Late Game
Ok so you weren't able to split push and end the game easy or your team fed and now you ended up into the late game, now what? Well you need to play around team fights, drake pit, and baron. Since you are building tank this is for the juicy ult into enemy back line. Now because you got percent health dmg go for whoever is their damage carry. You will be able to one shot them most likely and make sure your team follows up. A good sett ult will almost always win any team fight. Just try to get soul and group and you should be good. To end the game it is best to just try and split push one of the side lanes. Now you can't just split afk, you need to make sure there is other pressure on the map such as, your team pushing bot or going for a soul drake. It is best to have tp when split so you can join your team during teamfights. Once you get an inhib you have a constant push in that lane. Keep an eye to make sure it is always pushing and stick with your team.
I hope you try out this build and maybe even learned a thing or two!
I will be updating this guide and I hope to make it in-depth eventually making it go for all lanes except adc. I do hope to add images and video to better explain myself but, I wanted to get this build out there! GL on your games!
