Champion Build Guide
Q (Terrify): That's your fear. If you start your fight with R, there's a circle timer under the champion's feet that shows how long before you can fear them again. If the timer is active, and you cast Terrify, you will do %HP damage (good for tanks).
W (Bountiful Harvest): That's your primary damage skill. The new version also drains from 2 additional enemies are a reduced amount. Very nice indeed!
E (Reap): Your primary poke now. Not as good as it used to be, but now it adds Silence and Slow. Good for follow-through from your ADC! Keep in mind it only silences in the center of the cast. So aim it! The entire sweep applies the slow.
R (Crowstorm): Same as the old one, except it now fears targets in the inner circle. Perfect! Now you don't need to Zhonya's immediately anymore. Get that W cast in and then think about it.
Small Trade combo would be Q, W, E. This will give you longer CC for your ADC to follow up with.
Another Small Trade combo is Q, E, W, which might help you get your full W duration off easier.
Try both. See what you like better.
Full Ultimate combo will be R, Q, E, W. Throw in Exhaust or Ignite during your W, if you need.
The itemization is still pretty spot on. What is still up in the air is which skills to max on support (W or E 2nd), and what runes we all settle on. I do think I've given a very unique perspective with regards to Ingenious Hunter, which is why I decided to make the guide. Forgive me if, or when I've messed up. I'll update when I find new things.
Thanks for reading, and have fun on the rift :)
My first concern is whether his passive gives your team enough vision control to clear enemy wards. There's no way of knowing aside from just playing a good number of games.
My second and most obvious concern is whether his E has enough range, damage and utility to keep pressure in lane. Without this, Fiddle support is dead.
In patch 10.9 they buffed his late game E damage, supposedly to target Fiddlesticks support. I really don't understand their rationality here. Fiddle suffers from level 1 in lane, and really needed an early game buff. By the time you're level 9, I feel you've already surrendered the whole lane. Could be wrong. I changed the skill maxing order to reflect the buff. It is worth trying E Q W now. The damage is significant. I just feel it's almost certainly too late in game to have that matter.
If Fiddle fails both of these, he's certainly dead as a support champ. Only having games under the belt will clarify these concerns. Thanks for the patience. I'll update the guide with "is it worth?" for a TLDR on whether you should be playing Fiddle Support or not in the near future.
I'm leaving this guide up for those that still want to try it, it's only natural to be curious about a champ that used to be decent as a support, but absolutely, positively, do not play Fiddle Support in any ranked game. I am very sorry to say that you would be trolling.
RIP Fiddlesticks Support. You will be gravely missed :(
