Introduction
Welcome summoner's to a build for the best champion you will ever play.

Lets begin with explaining the choice behind the ruins (sorry for the lack of pictures I'm still getting used to using this and figuring it out).
Greater mark of desolation- I start off using Desolation marks because I find that the extra pen when you are up close fighting other champions like
Xin Zhao can sometimes save your life. That and the armor pen. mixed with your Hitten Style is just... amazing
- The Armor/resilience seals obviously for a little more survivability in a melee fight to block damage is very helpful and can sometimes even save your life. An alternative for this is the Glyph of warding for the early game magic res.
The Magic Res. even the little bit can prevent so much damage that comes from mage harassers such as
Ryze. Ok and i say use the greater glyphs of warding but it doesn't have it in the options.
And last of all the swiftness Quints are there for a little more mobility when chasing ganking escaping and frankly even moving from lane to lane

In my opinion this is how i play the basic AD champion with these masteries. Although you can change them to suit your play style a little more.
I find the offense tree to go 21 in because of how Irelia is an AD champion more than a tank in my opinion so only the 9 in defense. I don't put any in utility because it is very viable but i find it more useful for the offense and defense tree in game.

Okay well items is going to be my weak paragraph.
for the
Mercury's Treads the tenacity with Irelia's passive gives slows and stuns almost no effect on her and I'm sorry but all the rest of the items through many many games i have found that they all weave together just right. They are in my opinion just amazing with her.
for the

Well i start with blade surge because it is amazing farm from killing a minion or champion it is an instant cool down done and you can jump from minion last hit to minion last hit. i take equilibrium strike at level 2 and end up maxing it out first because it is you primary output of damage and catching enemy champions. the stun and slow will save your life oh so definitely more than once. And then finally take hitter style at 3 and max it out last. Take your ulti of course whenever you can for the wonderful life steal on such a short cool down. Max Equilibrium strike first because it will help against champions trying to kill you because the stun is quite long enough to be able to get away if you do it right. next you max Bladesurge for the extra damage when jumping in and for farming minions amazingly, and finally Hitten style is last (obviously). The path can change a little bit though depending on you lane enemy. You might want to take Hitten style first to max out instead because of the true damage you deal from it penetrating all of their armor like
Alistar,
Rammus, and even when
Jarvan IV plays as a tank.

For summoner spells i take
Ignite because after they get low it can be a killing blow as they escape. And i also take
Ghost because the escapability you can get with it is personally better than
Flash after it had its nerf. But if you prefer it you can always take flash. And a replacement for ignite could be
Heal for the extra survivability during the first blood fight and when helping out team mates in a big team fight.
