For Blue Kayn, Amumu can be pretty annoying as it is very easy for him to lock you down and have his whole team take turns spanking your ***. His early ganks are better than yours but 1v1 you do **** on him but only pre-6. Be sure to build Edge of Night or you can never get anywhere near him.
Bel'Veth
A lot of people hate this matchup but personally it's not too challenging for me. As blue Kayn you burst her and once she uses her W or E, you ult inside and finish her off. If you mess up however and don't bait out her E then you kinda just hard lose.
Darius
Not too much to say other than this guy will **** on you early, mid and late. Luckily Darius jungle isn't too common. The only counterplay you really have is to gank opposite side of map or counter gank if you think you win 2v2 (you most likely don't win a vast majority of 2v2s if a Darius is in the equation). Take his camps early and counter jungle whenever possible. If he pulls you in, Q towards him to dodge out his Q tipper.
Diana
This champ is just so annoying to face. She bullies you pre-form but after you get form you have a few more options. Just don't die before form and you should be alright. Use your R to dodge out her R and you should win if you're on even ground. If she builds tank (almost all of them build tank) then you ideally don't want to be targeting her but if the kill is free, take it.
Dr. Mundo
I mean there's not much to say about fighting the paint huffer Mundo. He can't do too much to you and you can do just about everything to him. His passive is useless against you because your W slows him and in a melee range fight you will outdamage him most of the time. Take ignite against him if you're scared of him healing up. Overall a pretty free matchup.
Ekko
You both suck until you hit your respective power spikes. Early 1v1s could go either way depending on how you play it. You could go aggressive and take ignite to get an early kill on him. He will definitely outscale you however so be careful when fighting him late. With Blue Kayn you burst him hard. Take early objectives and try to get an early lead so he can stay as irrelevant as possible.
Elise
YOU WILL NEVER WIN 1V1 EARLY SO DON'T TRY TO, EVEN WITH IGNITE! This matchup can be pretty annoying but only if she gets that early lead. Don't die (concede first drake if you have to), farm up and get form as quick as possible because once you have Blue form you just **** on her.
Evelynn
This one can be pretty damn tough if she gets a kill early. One of the most snowbally champs in the game. Steal her camps and delay her level 6 powerspike as much as you can. Buy control wards and be sure to have one active in the map at all times. Late game this fight comes down to who hits R at the right time. If she hits you with R when you're 30%, I hope you enjoy looking at a grey screen. If you dodge out her R with yours, you oneshot her. Try to make sure she doesn't claim an objective because any lead this champ gets is devastating if the player has a brain.
Fiddlesticks
I never see this champ lose ever. You can burst him good as blue Kayn but similarly to the Evelynn matchup, you gotta deny his level 6 powerspike as much as possible and avoid ANY teamfights if you don't know where he is. There isn't a whole lot of counterplay when it comes to this disgusting champ. He'll Q you then E you and then hit W and you'll be missing half your HP before you get to do anything. Edge of Night is required here.
Graves
Graves is pretty tough to deal with. He will try to invade you and kill you. I recommend doing a reverse full clear (Red - Blue - Gromp - Wolves - Raptors - Krugs). It'll add a few seconds to your clear but it makes sure you get everything and don't die. Once you get Blue form if you catch him off guard and without a lot of grit stacks, you oneshot him, His E dodges your W in both forms and if he gets a lead on you, he can be pretty oppressive.
Gragas
This champ has been way overbuffed and is disgustingly OP in 1v1s and in teamfights. Just avoid fighting him early, you won't win unless you have ignite but even then that's still iffy. Once you get Blue form you can do some pretty good damage to him but if he hits you with his body slam then you just kinda hard lose the fight.
Gwen
It's been a hot minute since I've seen a Gwen jungle. If you bring ignite you comfortably win 1v1 against her. Your ganks are better than her's and you scale just about as hard as her. Avoid the center of her Q and you should be fine. Her W does effectively when she's fighting you. The only problematic point is her E which can dodge out your W. She doesn't build armor so you can oneshot her pretty easily. Overall, a decently free matchup.
Hecarim
This champ is disgusting OP. If you invade him after your full clear, you have a window to kill him but it's not super likely given the fact he'll likely E and Ghost away. His ganks are obnoxiously good and his speed is stupid. Decently tanky and very hard to get on top of. Pretty much if he doesn't want to die, he won't unless he's playing with one hand and chugging a mountain dew in the other hand. This matchup comes down to who gets the stronger lead.
Ivern
Can be VERY annoying, be careful of his invades. His ganks are better than yours every day of the week but once you get Blue form and Serpent's Fang you shred him like a lawnmower. Beating the **** out of this tree got me singing "How Ba-a-a-ad can I be?". Some of the most joy you'll feel in league on god.
Jarvan IV
I hate this champ and every ****ter who abuses him. He ganks better than you, teamfights better than you and even 1v1s better than you early if you don't have ignite. He dominates in 2v2s and 3v3s so just gank opposite side of the map to him. One big advantage you have is that you can E or Q out of his R. Late game, you can do some pretty hefty damage to him if not oneshot him.
Jax
If you fight 1v1, he wins. If you fight 1v1 with ignite, he still wins. Pretty much anything you want to do in life, he will win if you don't have form. Once you get blue form then you can do good damage to him but he will bully you all game if you don't have form. Farm up, don't die and as long as he doesn't get an early lead he won't be too problematic.
Karthus
Free food. Probably the most free matchup for Kayn. His ganks are just barely better than yours and you **** on him 1v1 and in most 2v2 or 3v3 situations early game. Very easy to farm form on and once you get Blue Kayn, he just can't play the video game without Zhonya's. Take Edge of Night here if you're afraid of his R damage. Otherwise this matchup is beyond easy.
Kayn
Get out of blind pick
Kha'Zix
Kha'Zix will beat the **** out of you early and is super oppressive late. His invis makes it hard to win 1v1s late game and if you try to counter jungle him, he will still get isolation damage on you because the jungle monsters don't remove the isolation on champions. Right now, Kha'Zix is just a better assassin than Blue Kayn because Riot decided to buff him 3 patches in a row before adding new Ghostblade. Overall pretty hard to win if he's good. Counter ganking is really strong against him because it removes his isolation during the gank.
Kindred
Now if the Kindred player is any good, they will destroy you. 1v1 you don't win and ignite won't change anything because they will kite you forever. Have your laners kill your camps that are marked if you can't get to them in time and try your best not engage on them if they have R and are under their tower. They'll use R and you physically won't be able kill them, you'll pop out of them with your R and then your teammates will spam ping you and type "jg diff". If you manage to get an early lead, you will pop her like a balloon with Blue Kayn. Not the hardest matchup but I definitely feel this is Kindred favoured.
Lee Sin
Ah one of my least favourite junglers to see, Lee Cringe. This guy has missing health damage, ranged dash to an enemy, spell vamp, self shield, teammate shield, omnivamp (or it might be lifesteal idk), built in attack speed steroid, a ward hop, aoe damage and an aoe slow at level 3. Completely overloaded and will kick your *** pre-6. After form he's more manageable but Edge of Night is recommended so he doesn't point and click kick you out of position to be murdered. He scales just about as hard as you and is somewhat tanky, making him difficult to oneshot without a decently sized lead. Play safe around him until form and then try to win.
Lillia
Lillia is obnoxious due to her speed, true damage and immense kiting potential. Once you get Blue Kayn you win this on even ground and if you have a lead you can oneshot her pretty easily. If she gets a lead however she will stomp the whole game. Try to counter gank the lanes she ganks and as long as she doesn't get too fed, she's manageable.
Master Yi
Master Pee is one the hardest Kayn counters in the game. As Blue Kayn the best you can do is catch him off guard and oneshot him. With ignite you do beat him early (just barely tho because of lethal tempo) but if he takes ignite just don't bother fighting him and countergank the lanes he's ganking. If the Yi has two braincells, he will dodge your W+Q with his Q and then the best you can do is run away or die. If you R him, he just waits it out with his W and there's not much you can do. A very valid permaban candidate.
Maokai
You don't see this as commonly as you used to. You won't kill him with Blue Form because he prefers to stick with his team and is pretty hard to oneshot anyways. He can't clear as fast as you and cannot 1v1 you early. Edge of Night is a solid option into him otherwise he point and click CCs you and you die.
Mordekaiser
I'm not too afraid of Mordekaiser. Serpent's Fang cuts his shield in half and your R hard counters his R. You don't win 1v1 early. Steal his camps whenever you can gank opposite side to him and never 1v1 him post 6 unless you are fed. Very obnoxious to deal with in objective fights and QSS isn't really worth an item slot when your R prevents you from dying inside his R so just try to kill him before Drake/Rift/Baron/Elder.
Naafiri
Not really a problem early and you can definitely fight her 1v1 with ignite. Without ignite it's anyone's fight. Her ganks are stronger than yours so countergank her lanes unless another gank is free. You can oneshot her in the mid game but things get difficult for you in the late game. Once she has bruiser items and Guardian Angel, oneshotting her becomes very tricky. Build up a lead early and this dog should not win.
Neeko
Neeko has better ganks than you and if she plays it right, better 1v1s than you. She can be pretty annoying but if you have Blue Form, she's fairly easy to oneshot. Not a particularly scary matchup but can get out of hand if she gets too big of a lead.
Nidalee
You snap her in half like a twig once you get form. I've never seen anyone perform well on this champ. The only way she beats you 1v1 early is if she lands her big spear. Apart from that, just match her on the map and fight her where you can.
Nocturne
He will outgank you, that is a fact of life. If you try to fight him, he will fear you with E, then Q you and then W to spellshield your most important damage tool (including your R). if you catch him at low HP, he will fear you and Q away from you. You will never kill him early. Try to gank where he's going to gank and try to be wherever you think he is going to R. With a solid enough lead, this character turns into a joke late game. But this champ will give you a hard time early.
Nunu & Willump
Nunu will outgank you and that's pretty much it. 1v1 you destroy him at every stage of the game. If he goes tank you can't oneshot him but you can still dodge all of his important abilities and you can dodge his R completely with your R. If he goes AP Nunu, grab Serpent's Fang and his shield will be a lot less intimidating. The only way he wins is if he gets his team ahead enough and if your team can't shut him down with CC. Very easy matchup.
Olaf
You don't see Olaf jungle that much anymore. But the name of the game is scaling. Olaf wins until two items. Concede the first drake or two and don't die to him and he'll be out of the game by the time you get your form. On the flip side if he gets an early lead it can get pretty scary but he will fall off pretty hard. If you give up the first 3 drakes then the game is in jeopardy. Deny him dragon soul and it's jungle diff.
Poppy
Because of her W, playing blue Kayn is damn near impossible. This is a worthy permaban. She outganks you and outscales you. If you see this, I highly advise you to pick Rhaast or dodge.
Rammus
Can be very annoying for both forms. With Blue Kayn you can catch him but that's about all you can do. Oneshotting him is out of the question and if he taunts you, you're dead if any of his teammates are near. I used to have him a rank lower on threat but honestly if this character is in the game, his team either hard throws or he just makes the game completely unplayable. My new permaban.
Rek'Sai
Not common and not too scary. She will wreck you early but once you get form, you're chillin. Just don't die to her and counter gank her.
Rengar
How they haven't nerfed this champ into the dirt is beyond me. He will likely invade you and try to kill you and if you aren't careful, he will likely succeed. If he gets 5 kills/assists early it's pretty much GG. He will win every single 1v1 even if you have ignite. Even once you have form, you are not oneshotting him without a disgusting lead. He will point and click delete you late game and there's not much you can do plus Edge of Night doesn't work on him. If you chunk him heavily, he will just empowered W and get all his health back. Very hard matchup without a substantial lead.
Sejuani
Not the hardest tank to face as she is very team reliant. You can't oneshot her and her R pressure is removed if you get Edge of Night. Counter gank wherever she ganks and she should never get a lead on you. Without her team she can't solo early objectives so be sure to punish that.
Shaco
Annoying but that's it really. If he tries to R after you've hit him already, your R will still mark the real one. Take sweeper so you can see him while he's invisible. With Blue Kayn you can pop this clown like he's a balloon at a circus. Even if he gets a lead, he's still incredibly squishy.
Shyvana
She's not scary if she doesn't have drakes. Without her R she can't really do anything to you and you can chunk her health bar really good even in dragon form. If she gets drakes and stacks her passive, then it can get pretty hard to deal with her as Blue Kayn but I don't struggle with this matchup.
Skarner
He's scary to face but no one plays him. 1v1 you beat him but he can run away from you very easily. Edge of Night only works so good against him. All he has to do is wait for it to be popped and then he will zero counterplay suppress you and drag you into his team. I highly advise going Rhaast into him but if the entirety of his team is squishy, Blue works good as well.
Sylas
This champ is just stupid broken. he beats you early, mid and late. His ganks are better than you. His teamfights are better than you. This champ is just better than you. Play safe, gank opposite side of the map to him and if you get a lead you can chunk him good with Blue Kayn.
Taliyah
You don't see Taliyah jungle super often but she's not super strong even if she gets a lead. With blue Kayn you oneshot her. She can't beat you 1v1 so path into her and she'll be decently helpless.
Talon
Talon jungle is starting to see popularity. I recommend doing a reverse full clear (see the Graves matchup description) and avoiding an early 1v1. His ganks are about the same as yours in strength and his mobility is just better. As long as you go even with him, you're winning the scaling game.
Trundle
Never 1v1 him without ignite. Highly recommend going Rhaast into him. If he uses R on you, you just don't kill him without a massive lead. Gank opposite side of map to him and don't die.
Udyr
Poodyr is a famous Kayn counter. He dunks on you pretty much all game if he even gets a small lead over you. Don't gank where he's ganking as he will likely cave your skull in. You will never oneshot him as Blue Kayn and Rhaast is yet again recommended here.
Vi
This champ is turbo broken and will outjungle you most games. A very worthy permaban. Early and mid game she can lock you down no matter where you go. Edge of Night is recommended and Serpent's Fang is a worthy buy as well for her absurd shielding. A lot easier to handle on Rhaast but manageable with a lead on Blue Kayn.
Viego
Viego is a pretty even matchup for Kayn. If he gets a lead, he ***** on you. If you get a lead, you **** on him. You can R him to dodge out his R and W. Apart from that, not too much else to say about this matchup.
Volibear
Early game, he beats you in just about every department but once you get form you just destroy him. This matchup is A LOT easier for Rhaast than Blue Kayn but with a good enough lead Blue ***** on him too. Just avoid him early game and make plays on the opposite side of the map.
Warwick
He beats you early and is the king of 2v2s and 3v3s. Avoid him so he doesn't destroy you 1v1 (take ignite if you're afraid he'll invade you) and steal his camps whenever you can. Once you get a form, you just win a majority of the time.
Wukong
Poop Kong is beyond annoying to deal with with his built in armor. You can't beat him 1v1 and you can't oneshot him in the mid to late game as Blue Kayn. Gank opposite side of the map to him and pray he doesn't get fed. I recommend taking ignite for this matchup to go through his armor.
Xin Zhao
Cringe Zhao is similar to an Olaf. He can beat you early, will likely 3 camp clear into invading you and falls off decently hard once you get form. Don't die to him, don't try to fight 1v1 without ignite to cut his self healing. Avoid him early game and you should leave him in the dust.
Zac
Can very annoying for Blue Kayn but gets shafted by Rhaast. He clears pretty unhealthily so after your clear, you can look to invade him and kill him. Take ignite if you want to be extra sure of getting an early kill on him (keep in mind you can smite his blobs from his resurrection passive once his HP hits 0), As Blue Kayn you almost never oneshot him but getting a huge lead on him is more than possible. Before you get form, he can be pretty hard to deal with in 2v2s and 3v3s but nothing too difficult. If he gets a few good ganks off however, playing Blue Kayn can seem pretty daunting.
Akali
You do physical damage and she does magic damage, they can't build against both of you effectively, making this a very strong pairing for Blue Kayn.
Ahri
Decent gank setup.
Aurelion Sol
Holds targets still with is R
Blitzcrank
Amazing kill setup
Galio
Can help you out with river fights once he hits 6 and has sublime gank setup.
Urgot
Your damage gets the targets low enough for his execute.
Illaoi
When she hits an enemy with her soul pull, you can hit the clone of the enemy and get free form orbs off of it.
Synergies

This little guy is an annoyance for Rhaast but gets shafted after you get form. Counter gank him whenever you can and if you really wanna kill him early, take ignite.
Bel'Veth
Early she can dunk on you but after you get Rhaast, this becomes fairly easy to fight against. She does outscale you however. Early on be sure to deny her rift heralds so she can't get her R passive off of it.
Darius
Just don't die to him early and you should be able to shut him down in teamfights later on. Avoid him for all of the early game.
Diana
Early she will dominate you but once you get form, it doesn't matter what she builds you can kill her no matter what. Just avoid her early and get form quick.
Dr. Mundo
This matchup is so painfully one sided. Early on you beat him, you can take ignite if you don't feel like building antiheal for him later. Once you get your form he only really has one defense against you and that's his passive. It keeps him safe for one W of yours and then he's defenseless.
Ekko
Ekko isn't too much of an issue for Rhaast and if he becomes an issue you just build force of nature or spirit visage. Early on it's a very even matchup, probably Kayn's most even matchup. But once you get form I'd say it's Rhaast favoured.
Evelynn
Evelynn is obnoxious pre form but once you get Rhaast form, you land one W and that's all of her Mejai's stacks gone. Magic resist is a must buy for this champ as she can snowball out of control really fast. Be sure to buy control wards and be sure to steal as many camps as you can from her to delay her level 6 power spike.
Fiddlesticks
This is a very tough matchup because as Rhaast you thrive in teamfights but if this scarecrow hits one button, the entire teamfight just gets thrown into chaos and you lose. Early on try to delay his level 6 powerspike by stealing from him and take as many early objectives as you can. Vision control is a must in this matchup otherwise teamfights are just unplayable.
Graves
This matchup is more playable for Shadow Assassin but for Rhaast he can dodge your W with his E. On top of that he can stack armor, kite you and he beats the **** out of you early. I recommend doing a reverse full clear (Red - Blue - Gromp - Wolves - Raptors - Krugs). It'll add a few seconds to your clear but it makes sure you get everything and don't die. Your best bet is to hit your W on him when someone else hard CCs him.
Gwen
Never see this champ in the jungle often. You beat her early if you have ignite and you ***** her in teamfights late game. Her ganks are weaker than yours and as long as you stay out of the middle of her Q, you should be fine. Knock her up inside of her W and just shred her apart. Constantly try to match where she's going to be on the map and fight her.
Hecarim
This champ is hard to fight and is stupid broken. If he's ahead he will destroy you and if he's behind, you'll never catch him. He outspeeds you and often out tempos you. Try to counter gank where he ganks early on and in teamfights if you land a knock up on him, he's dead..
Ivern
For Shadow Assassin, this matchup is easier but for Rhaast it can be kind of annoying. He has loads of shielding and arguably has better teamfight impact than you do with Rhaast form. Be careful of him invading you and remember that he can't fight you solo. Try to counter gank the lanes he tries to gank.
Jarvan IV
I hate this champ and everyone who abuses this over buffed piece of garbage. Jarvan is basically early game Rhaast but you can outscale him pretty good. Avoid early 2v2s and 3v3s because his presence in those fights is unmatched. You beat him 1v1 if you take ignite but optimally you're playing the opposite side of the map to him.
Jax
This character is stupid broken and will **** on you for most the game but if he doesn't get a stupidly massive lead, you outscale him. R inside of him when he's charging his E and remember that your W and Q can still damage and affect him while he's charging his E. Early game, just play opposite side of the map to him and avoid him at all costs because he beats you even if you have ignite.
Karthus
Definitely an easier matchup for Shadow Assassin but Rhaast does just fine into him. Early game you beat him, try to match where he goes on the map and prevent him from doing anything. If you get on top of him, he's going straight back to fountain.
Kayn
Get out of blind pick.
Kha'Zix
Very broken and over buffed champ. He will destroy you early but once it hits the mid to late game, you beat him. Build Death's Dance and armor in general and he shouldn't be able to play the game. The biggest way you lose this matchup is if he gets 3-5 kills early and snowballs objectives. Just avoid him early, make opposite side of the map plays and you should be fine as long as he does not get fed.
Kindred
This matchup is very hard for Rhaast. Kindred can dodge your W and kite you into oblivion. This character is Rhaast's worst nightmare. Avoid her during the early game and if you can't kill your marked camps, have your laners kill the marked camps.
Lee Sin
Lee Cringe will always be one of my least favourite matchups in the game but for Rhaast he's pretty beatable. Avoid him early and once you get form you **** on him.
Lillia
This is a very difficult matchup for Rhaast. Similar to Hecarim, if she is ahead she will stomp you and if she is behind you will never catch her. If you land one W on her in teamfights, she dies. She can kite you into oblivion and deal true damage to you. Like Hecarim, try to counter gank her early and shut her down before she can get started. I'm not sure what they were thinking in the Riot meth lab with this champ.
Maokai
Maokai is annoying in the early game and is still annoying in the mid to late but you can fight him at all stages of the game especially on Rhaast. Match where he's going on the map and make sure none of his ganks succeed. Rhaast will tear this guy apart once you get your form.
Master Yi
Master Pee is a very worthy permaban candidate. His Q can dodge your W but if he's dumb and is huffing the good ****, he will use his Q first and then you can W him once he exits Q. Land one W on him and he dies but overall this champ ***** on Kayn. Don't 1v1 him without ignite and counter gank him.
Naafiri
This dog should not beat Rhaast in my opinion. You outsustain her in fights, early game she's not that much of a threat and you scale better than she does. Overall it'll take a lot for her to be stronger than you. Get as many objectives as you can against her and her late game options should be little to none.
Neeko
She ganks stronger than you and if she plays it right, she can beat you 1v1. She has good kite and decent CC. Not a super scary matchup, can be scary if it gets ahead. Play for early objectives.
Nidalee
I have yet to see someone be good at this champ. Early game she beats you 1v1 if she lands her big spear on you but if she doesn't then you just dunk on her. Match her on the map early game and take early objectives.
If someone picks this character into you, they might very well be trolling. Nunu will outgank you and that's pretty much it. 1v1 you destroy him at every stage of the game. Match him on the map and make sure his ganks don't pan out. Once you get Rhaast form, your W will interrupt all of his meaningful abilities, rendering him borderline useless in fights.
Olaf
He's annoying early and late game he can become immune to your knockups with his R but that's really it. You can ult inside him to wait it out and then kill him. Don't 1v1 him early under any circumstance. Be careful of invades and if you're really scared of him fighting you early, take ignite. Just don't die and scale.
Poppy
This champ is so aids and poorly designed. She's small which makes her harder to hit with W and she's tanky too. Not to mention that her W disables 3 out of your 4 abilities. Very unfun to play against but somewhat doable with Rhaast.
Rammus
He's a nuisance and hard to catch. Counter gank him and pray that your team has better teamfight and little physical damage, otherwise the turbo turtle can be pretty damn annoying.
Rek'Sai
A pain early, don't fight her even with ignite. Play opposite side of the map. In teamfights, knock her up and she'll die pretty quick. The best way to play this matchup is to just play safe until form, then you kinda dominate.
Rengar
My current permaban. How they haven't nerfed this champ into the dirt is beyond me. He will likely invade you and try to kill you and if you aren't careful, he will likely succeed. If he gets 5 kills/assists early it's pretty much GG. He will win every single 1v1 even if you have ignite. Even once you have form this matchup becomes a bit more playable. Death's Dance and Randuin's Omen are mandatory against him. Rhaast is more playable than Shadow Assassin in this matchup because he cannot cleanse your knockup with his empowered W.
Sejuani
This matchup is stupidly easy. Match her map presence early, kill her if possible and once you get form she just can't play the game. Her teamfight presence is good but your teamfight presence is better.
Shaco
Annoying but that's it really. If he tries to R after you've hit him already, your R will still mark the real one. Take sweeper so you can see him while he's invisible. As Rhaast he's a little bit annoying with boxes in teamfights but he himself should never really pose any threat to you.
Shyvana
She's not scary if she doesn't have drakes. Without her R she can't really do anything to you and you can chunk her health bar really good even in dragon form. If she gets drakes and stacks her passive, then it can get pretty hard to deal with her but as Rhaast this matchup is pretty easy. Definitely a Kayn favoured matchup.
Skarner
He's scary to face but no one plays him. 1v1 you beat him but he can run away from you very easily. In this matchup, build Silvermere Dawn for his R. Apart from that he's tanky and fast, making him hard to kill. Rhaast is definitely better than Shadow Assassin into him but it's still annoying as hell.
Sylas
This champ is just stupid broken. he beats you early, mid and late. His ganks are better than you. His teamfights are better than you. This champ is just better than you. Play safe, gank opposite side of the map to him and if you get a lead you can at least exert more pressure in teamfights than he can, assuming one of your teammates doesn't have an extremely good ult he can steal.
Taliyah
You don't see Taliyah jungle super often but she's not super strong even if she gets a lead. As Rhaast, you hit her with one knockup and she dies. Also you can Q and E through her R wall.
If he uses R on you, you just don't kill him without a massive lead, the best you can do is R inside of him and wait out a bit of it but that's only if you can't run away. Gank opposite side of map to him and don't die.
Udyr
Poodyr is a famous Kayn counter. He dunks on you pretty much all game if he even gets a small lead over you. Don't gank where he's ganking as he will likely cave your skull in. As Rhaast if you stay on top of him and time your knockups good, you will eventually be able to deal with him provided that it's a teamfight setting.
Vi
This champ is turbo broken and will outjungle you most games. A very worthy permaban. Early and mid game she can lock you down no matter where you go. If she ults you, you're forced to take the brunt of her damage but if you survive it, you just win. You outscale her so try not to lose too hard early.
Viego
Viego is a pretty even matchup for Kayn. If he gets a lead, he ***** on you. If you get a lead, you **** on him. You can R him to dodge out his R and W. As Rhaast, you hit one knockup on him and you'll send him right back to the ruined isles. Apart from that, not too much else to say about this matchup.
Volibear
Early game, he beats you in just about every department but once you get form you just destroy him so just avoid him early. Rhaast is one of Volibear's worst nightmares. You outdamage, out CC and outsustain him.
You can't beat him 1v1. Gank opposite side of the map to him and pray he doesn't get fed. I recommend taking ignite for this matchup to go through his armor. Similarly to Shaco, When you hit him before he clones, your R will mark the real one.
Zac
This is arguably one of the most free matchups for Rhaast. You clear healthier and quicker than he does so just invade him and beat his ***. Take ignite if you want to be extra sure you get the kill and don't forget you can smite the blobs from his resurrection passive. If he tries to channel a jump, knock him up with W. Before you get form, he can be pretty hard to deal with in 2v2s and 3v3s but nothing too difficult.
Yasuo
Your W sets him up so good. If you see a Yasuo on your team, I advise picking Rhaast if you can manage it.
Malzahar
Any champ with lockdown ultimates are amazing with Rhaast, allows you to land your W for free.
Tahm Kench
If you take too much damage in the frontline, he can swallow you up, keep you safe and give you shield health while he takes your spot on the frontline. Very good champ to play with as Rhaast.
Illaoi
When she hits an enemy with her soul pull, you can hit the clone of the enemy and get free form orbs off of it.

Howdy there! I'm Apari and I'm a twitch streamer and aspiring challenger jungler. I started playing League roughly a year or two ago and have been absolutely in love with Kayn. I have over 1 million mastery points and am currently gold 2 (and still scaling) as of writing this guide. I hope the information in this guide can give you insight as you learn Kayn.
Why Play Kayn?
Pros:
[*] Versatile
[*] Very rewarding to master
[*] Lots of fun
[*] High carry potential
[*] High mobility
[*] Can pick him into almost any game
[*] Amazing clear speed
Cons:
[*] You're basically learning two different playstyles at once when maining him
[*] A lot of decision making over forms and itemization
[*] Shadow Assassin is weak late game
[*] Rhaast is very susceptible to slows and being kited
[*] Absolutely abysmal early game
Tips and Tricks
1. If you Q into a wall, the animation goes quicker, gets the damage out quicker and puts it on cooldown faster. This is primarily useful in clearing but is also good in certain fights where you are close enough to a wall.
2. If you take damage and then hit your E, it will only last a very short period of time. Normally this is a disadvantage but keep in mind that your E will shoot you out of a wall if your E ends inside of it. Where it will shoot you out can be manipulated however. It will shoot you out to the wall that you are closest to which can make for some very clutch escapes if you E into a wall and then Q to the nearest desired wall to escape to.
3. Your form meter can be stacked beyond what it shows. For instance if the form meter is more red than blue and your form is close to being obtained, if you hit a ranged champion enough times you can actually get your blue form instead of your red form. Even if you do get the wrong form, you can still get orbs that belong to the desired form to lower the timer of your other form by 5 seconds per orb.
