Hi i am Verark and i am a ryze player. I play tons of match with ryze and i know how to play him :) Ryze is player-playstyle champion i can show you the build but how to use him is personal :D.

Tips

1- Rotation
Remember 1 think, your spell flux effect! Remove enemy magic resistence and kill him.. you reach with spell flux+runes 58 magic penetration and it work really fine!
The rotation for single target: E-Q-R-W-Q-E-Q (against melee when they engage you)
The rotation for single target 2: W-E-Q-R-Q-W-Q (start with W only if the target is running away)
(You can start with R for reach the enemy and use W).
The rotation for AoE: E-R-Q-W-Q-E (spell vamp+tons of damage+archangel shield= immortality. 60% spell vamp+spirit visage= at insane heal sustain)

Early

Farm, farm, farm, farm, farm you need to farm and gank with teleport the other lanes.
You can engage 1v1 when reach lv3 becouse you have 3 spells and you can do this rotation (e-q-w-q) and kill your opponent :)

Mid

After the RoA you deal nice damage and you can roam and kill other people. Remember that in early you need to farm!

Late

With my build you deal TONS OF DAMAGE with high sustain!!! Sometimes you can do 1v5 if they stay around you :D

Movement speed on Ryze

Yeah.. some players play with ms runes and work fine but i think that my runes work better or you can try with use 2 ms and 1 spell vamp quintessence runes ^^.

Counter

Yeah guys.. Ryze have 4 mortal counters in early T_T Xerath for zooning and high range, Annie for insane burst, leblanc for burst and talon for silence+high damage. You can safe farm with annie and talon but with xerath and leblanc is really hard :P
