But when I first started playing Yorick I thought that he could be really fun in the jungle so that inspired me to add that in aswell.
First I started playing with Conqueror and it worked out for a while, but then I just couldnt make it work. Then I changed to Grasp and now I can safely say that it is better in my opinion.
Like I said at Grasp this was my go to rune, but still it's a great rune for Yorick, because he can do some great all-in pushes and usually win any long fight with it because of the increased AD with Ghouls and Maiden

Yorick's passive spawns a grave for every 12/6/2 enemies that die near you and for every an enemy is killed by Yorick's Q. He can spawn up to 4 Ghouls at a time.

Yorick empowers his next autoattack, which means that he deals more damage and heals him.

Yorick creates a cage from the ground that can be destroyed.

Yorick throws black mist. It attracts ghouls when it lands on an enemy champion or monster. And you get bonus MS towards the target.

Yorick summons the Maiden of the Mist and 2/3/4 ghouls. Maiden also summons ghouls automaticly when they kill an enemy. Plus when Yorick damages an enemy that Maiden has attacked in the last 2 seconds, Yorick does bonus magic damage.

But remember that you will always look to respond to trades with Q's, and to engage with the E-W with into Q.
Remember that almost every matchups will require you to play safe the early game and after that we can look for opportunities to fight.
If you do not have ghouls do not ever fight it's too much of a risk.
Try and grab the Heralds and find a good opportunity to push the enmy tower. You should attack when the enemies are having a fight elsewhere (For example when they are taking the dragon) so that they must make a sacrifice. Go block your push and lose other objectives or try to take the other stuff and hope that Yorick isn't at your inhibitor by the end of it all.
The heal Footwork gives works on jungle monsters, making Yorick's clears much healthier. His dueling is far more competent early game with Footwork and the movemednt speed it gives helps with shmoving around the map.

You should also try to get the early scuttles so you can move around faster with your 0 mobility.
I also drop a control ward to the baron pit since you can control it and take the objectives there without worrying about them knowing you are there.
You should always be taking herald and getting some plates with it.
Remember not to farm the whole game since your other lanes will suffer from this, plus they will flame you if you do that. Also remember not to waste your maidfen, since she keeps your clears really fast and also give really good damage to the nemies.
If things are goind well you should have a couple of items and at that point if you are level 13-14 you could just go for the Baron solo while your team should focus on distracting.
