Hi. I'm Requiem Waltz. I am not a high tier player and I have never made a guide before. So why should you listen to me? Well I love Varus! he is one of my favorite champions in the game and thus I have played a lot of games on him. I recommended him to a friend recently and he complained because there are ZERO up-to-date guides on Varus and most of the Guides that there even are aren't very competitive. When I started playing Varus I had to do a lot of Research to find out what was good and with the New Varus skin coming out I think a lot of new people will be picking up this champ. Because of all this I decided I would make a helpful resource to anyone looking to play Varus.

In Champ Select I always pick Varus whenever I am Mid, but I dont decide which build I am going until I see the enemy team. If the enemy team is mostly squishy carry champs, I go the AD Caster route. Most of them wont be building Armor and your poke will hit like a truck. If the enemy team is really tanky (I.e. Tank top and Jungle and a off-tank support), then I go for the AP-On-Hit Build. Varus' W deals Percent max health Damage which makes it hard for tanks to stack health to fight. Also the Percentage scale with AP. Every 50 AP gives you an additional 1% damage. Late game each stack of W will be deal upwards of 15% max health damage!

• Zero Mobility
• Only Self-Peel is ULT
• Skill Shot Reliant

The Nice Thing about Varus is there are a lot of different summoners you can take. Mainly You want Heal but Cleanse is nice and with the reduced cool down on Barrier its a nice alternative.

Bot Lane/Standard: Flash + Heal

> Against Burst Champion: Flash + Barrier
> Against CC heavy Teams/CC your really need to stop: Flash + Cleanse
