This is another hard one. Try your best to zone her from the 3 melees level 1 with your auto attacks, abuse bushes. After that you have to dodge her E to take any fights. If she lands her E on then you should try to disengage but if she misses it, that's your chance to do a short trade with her. Watch low hp ranged creeps that she can set up to dash onto you. Take conq ignite and win early game eclipse build path

+ Very Fun to play when mastered + Fast Wave Clear + Can Punish Bad players + Amazing Mid Game S++ tier + Snowball Laner + Able to farm from Safe Distance if being camped To me, Jayce stands out as the most enjoyable high-skill top laner in League of Legends. Playing as him never gets boring, especially when you consider the immense damage he can dish out. While champions like Ornn and Malphite can be challenging for him to take down, his kit still offers plenty of opportunities for outplaying opponents through his kiting and skillful execution. When playing as Jayce, each game feels consistent and you never feel like you're starting from scratch. I strongly suggest giving him a try - who knows, you might just have a blast! <(^.^)>. |
- Low Range - High Skill Cap - Cant Autopilot - Weak Early game - Heavy Reliance on Team - Easly Gankable If Jayce falls behind the enemy team, he can have a difficult time making a comeback, which is why it's crucial to play him with a high level of strategic thinking. Avoid taking unnecessary risks without knowing where the enemy jungler is, as one death can quickly make you feel ineffective. Sometimes, you might find yourself in situations where you're getting ganked and falling behind, especially against champions like Irelia or Yorick. During these moments, it's essential to play it safe and avoid feeding the enemy team, even if it feels tedious. These types of games occur frequently when playing as Jayce, which is why he is a champion that can either be loved or hated. |
This guide will show you step by step how to maximize your Jayce gameplay and climb the solo queue ladder, or just enjoy some laid back games with friends i know my friends love it when i play jayce with them with flexq :)

Presence of Mind provides Jayce with crucial mana sustain during extended engagements or skirmishes. Jayce is heavily reliant on mana to cast his abilities, especially during prolonged fights or when sieging objectives. With Presence of Mind, Jayce gains increased mana regeneration upon securing takedowns, allowing him to stay in fights longer and continue dealing damage without being hindered by mana constraints. This rune ensures that Jayce can maintain his pressure on the map and contribute to team fights without the fear of running out of resources at critical moments.
Overall, Last Stand and Presence of Mind complement Jayce's aggressive playstyle by enhancing his damage output and mana sustain, respectively. Together, they enable Jayce to excel in extended engagements, skirmishes, and team fights, making them valuable choices for players looking to maximize Jayce's effectiveness on the Rift.

Sustain: Biscuit Delivery provides sustain in lane by restoring health and mana upon consumption, which can be crucial for Jayce, especially in matchups where he needs to poke or trade frequently. Lane Dominance: With the extra sustain from biscuits, Jayce can stay in lane longer, allowing him to exert more pressure on his opponent and potentially secure an advantage in lane. Mana Management: Jayce relies heavily on mana to use his abilities effectively, especially in the early stages of the game. Biscuit Delivery helps mitigate mana issues by providing extra mana upon consumption, allowing Jayce to use his abilities more liberally without worrying as much about running out of mana. Early Game Power: Biscuit Delivery grants immediate benefits in the early game, as biscuits are available from the start of the game. This can help Jayce survive tough early matchups or aggressive opponents, allowing him to scale into the mid and late game more effectively. Overall, Biscuit Delivery can be a solid choice for Jayce players looking to increase their sustain, mana management, and early game power in lane. |
Cooldown Reduction (CDR): Cosmic Insight grants 5% cooldown reduction on all abilities, summoner spells, and items. For Jayce, who relies heavily on casting his abilities frequently to poke, burst, and control the lane, this CDR can significantly enhance his overall effectiveness, allowing him to use his abilities more often. Summoner Spell Reduction: Jayce benefits greatly from reduced cooldowns on his summoner spells, particularly Flash and Teleport. Flash is crucial for his engage or escape potential, while Teleport allows him to impact other lanes or return to lane quickly after backing. With Cosmic Insight, the cooldowns on these summoner spells are reduced, increasing Jayce's mobility and map presence. Item Actives: Many items Jayce builds, such as Eclipse or Profane Hydra, have powerful active abilities that can be game-changing in fights. Cosmic Insight reduces the cooldown on these item actives, allowing Jayce to use them more frequently to gain an advantage in skirmishes and teamfights. Versatility: Cosmic Insight provides a versatile set of benefits that improve Jayce's overall performance in various aspects of the game, including laning phase, teamfights, and split-pushing. The combination of reduced ability, summoner spell, and item cooldowns makes Jayce more adaptable and better equipped to handle different situations throughout the game. Overall, Cosmic Insight synergizes well with Jayce's playstyle, providing him with the tools to exert pressure in lane, control the map, and impact teamfights effectively. |
All in all, Phase Rush can prove to be a robust selection for Jayce enthusiasts who prioritize mobility and kiting potential. Nonetheless, it may not always be the optimal choice in every situation, BUT ITS THE ONE I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND TO USE ESPECIALLY STARTING OFF. |
Furthermore, Jayce has few options for mana sustain in his kit, which makes him reliant on items like Tear of the Goddess or Blue Buff to stay topped up on mana. By taking Manaflow Band, Jayce can reduce his dependence on these items and focus on building more offensive or defensive items instead. |
|
Jayce's kit is designed to deal high amounts of burst damage, which makes him a threat to squishy targets throughout the game. However, as the game progresses, his damage output can fall off, especially against tankier opponents. By taking Gathering Storm, Jayce can continue to scale into the late game and deal more damage to all targets, including tanks. In addition, Gathering Storm can be useful in games where the laning phase is extended or where there are a lot of kills and objectives being traded back and forth. If you anticipate a long game or a lot of fighting, Gathering Storm can help ensure that you are still a threat even as the game drags on. Overall, Gathering Storm can be a strong choice on Jayce for players who want to focus on scaling into the late game and dealing significant damage to all targets. However, it's important to note that this rune provides no benefit in the early game, so players should be prepared to play defensively and focus on farming until they can reach their power spike. |
Moving on to Biscuit Delivery, this rune can be incredibly useful during the laning phase as it helps you sustain in lane and be more aggressive, particularly in the first few levels. With Jayce's mana problems, this is why I always recommend this rune as it significantly helps in obtaining Tear on the first back while maintaining tempo in lane.
Moreover, Jayce's unique ability to switch between ranged and melee forms facilitates quick stacking of Conqueror, using his abilities and basic attacks in both forms to boost his damage output and potentially turn the tide of battle in his favor. As you continue to master this champion, you'll appreciate the difference between using Conqueror and Phase Rush espciaclly during the early game, and how Conqueror enhances Jayce's capabilities in the heat of combat. |
By taking both Conqueror and Legend: Alacrity, Jayce can deal significant damage and heal himself in extended fights, allowing him to sustain through enemy damage and continue to put pressure on opponents. Overall, taking Legend: Alacrity with Conqueror on Jayce can be a strong choice for players who want to focus on dealing sustained damage and outlasting opponents in fights. However, it's important to note that there are other viable options for Jayce depending on the matchup and your playstyle. |
It's important to note, however, that Cut Down is not always the best choice on Jayce. If you are facing a team with few tanks or champions with high health pools, you may be better off taking a different rune that provides more general damage or utility. |

SEASON 14 ITEMS
EARLY GAME
|
In the early game, Jayce has several goals that he should aim to accomplish. Firstly, farming effectively is crucial for him to gain the gold and experience he needs to become strong. Additionally, Jayce's long-range poke allows him to harass his opponents and set up kills for himself or his teammates. He can also help his team gain vision control and roam around the map to assist his allies in securing objectives or kills. Objectives should always be a priority, and Jayce's poke and mobility can make him a valuable asset in taking down turrets, dragons, or Rift Herald. Finally, Jayce can also be a strong early game duelist, so securing early kills on his opponents can give him a significant advantage. |
MID GAME
|
In the mid-game, Jayce has several goals that he can work towards to help his team gain an advantage. First, he can pressure turrets using his excellent waveclear and poke, forcing the enemy team to defend and allowing his team to secure map control and objectives. Second, Jayce can use his mobility and poke to help his team secure important objectives such as dragons, Rift Herald, and Baron Nashor. Third, he can be an effective team fighter by using his poke and burst damage to take down enemy champions from a safe distance and helping his teammates engage or disengage from fights using his acceleration gate. Fourth, Jayce's mobility and dueling potential make him a strong split pusher, allowing him to draw enemy attention away from his team and creating opportunities for his team to take objectives or engage in fights. Finally, Jayce should look to build a lead by securing kills, objectives, and gaining map control to snowball the game and help his team dominate in the mid to late game. |
To succeed in the late game, it is important to follow these five tips, which are applicable to all champions, including Jayce. Firstly, stick with your team and avoid being caught out alone. Secondly, prioritize objectives over individual kills, as they become more crucial in the late game. Thirdly, play safe and avoid taking unnecessary risks, as a single death can change the game. Fourthly, maintain vision around key objectives and choke points to avoid getting caught out by the enemy team. Lastly, focus on your positioning during team fights, staying at a safe distance from the enemy team and targeting squishy champions to maximize your damage output. These tips will help you dominate the late game and secure victory for your team. |
