Introduction
Varus has the ability to absolutely DESTROY the whole enemy team with his amazing burst and abilities.
This is my very first guide! so please bear with me.
Runes
- For our Marks we wll use magic penetration. This lets us pierce through even more MR.
- For our Seals we use armor. Armor is to make up for Varus being so SQUISHY!!!11!11!
- For our Glyphs We get cooldown per level. This allows Varus to have an even better late game.
- For our Quints We will use magic penetration. This lets us pierce through even more MR.

- First max out Blighted Quiver for more damage in auto attacks, and more blight damage. This skill is what makes AP Varus viable.
- Next max out Hail of Arrows. this skill is Varus main way of breaking the blight stacks. its easy to aim, and AOE. Also causes slow and reduced healing.
- Last max Piercing Arrow. This skill is used to blow up stacks of blight after we use hail of arrows. This skill has very long range and can be used to poke people from far distances.
- Level up Chain of Corruption whenever it is available. This skill has an insane 1:1 AP to damage ratio, and can be used to hit EVERY single enemy if used right. This has a 2 second immobilization which allows Varus and his teammates to pound on their enemies until Varus gets his penta.
Preferred Spells

Â
Ignite is mainly used to secure kills, or cut HP healing in half (which he has in Hail of Arrows). Â Â Â |

Boots
These boots are taken early to help harass and pierce magic resistance. Can be switched later for Mercury's Treads. |
Take these boots if your enemies have CC. Also take if the enemy team has loads of AP. Â |
Â
I personally find that malady helps a lot in early game. It helps harassing, picking up CS, and removing the enemies magic resistance. the attack speed also goes well with varus.
Â
Get this item after Sorcerer's Shoes or Malady. Decreases cooldowns, and increases attackspeed. Very good after Malady
Â
AP is very important. getting a Rabadon's Deathcap will increase the damage the Varus deals very well. this item is VERY necessary.
Â
After getting Rabadon's Deathcap build your Stinger into a Nashor's Tooth for more attack speed and cooldowns.
Â
Buy this after the Nashor's Tooth for more magic piercing and AP, to maximize your damage.
Â
Finish the build with this item. Provides insane attack speed and AoE damage. this item gives you easy penta kills. GG
