Draven
Draven is a beast especially early-game. He has the highest raw damage combined with movement speed. This matchup is really difficult, so play passive, farm up and DON'T DIE to him or your lane will be over done quickly
Introduction
This guide is fairly new, and it's the first time i've done a guide on a champion. Since Xayah was just released and I've been playing her alot, I wanted to make a guide based of my experiences and experiments with her.
Xayah is an extremely fun ADC and has a lot of outplay potential, but you gotta be aware of her powerspikes and positioning (especially of your feathers!) I've done some different build-testing on her, and I believe I've found the best options for her, which I will go through in the following chapters! For now enjoy and have fun!
Reipur
Heal is the 2nd best Summoner Spell atm. for ADCs. Giving you the extra life (and a partner) in addition to the short burst of movement speed. This ability can either secure a kill, help you escape or saving yourself or a teammate from death.
Other Summoner Spells could work on Xayah, however not as ADC. Going Jungle would ofc require Smite and Mid or Top would require Ignite, Exhaust or Teleport. I will not go through any other lanes with Xayah in this Guide though.
With almost every ADC, you'd want to take the Precision Tree as primary, and Domination or Inspiration as secondary.
For and Atk. Speed ADC like Xayah, go for the Sustain in lifesteal and healing. These Runes scales well into lategame and gives you more Sustain in teamfights and laning phase than ever before. Therefore, I recommend going FF (Fleet Footwork) into Overheal, Legend: Bloodline and Coup De Grace for the extra kill pressure in lane.
Take Domination for the extra healing with Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter, or go Inspiration for Future Market to get faster access to your core items. Ex. getting that B.F. Sword almost guaranteed every first back!
Core Build is Berserker's Greaves, Essence Reaver, Infinity Edge and an AS/Crit Item, Phantom Dancer or Rapid Firecannon. (That order preferably)
Essence Reaver is my first-to-go item because of the fantastic CDR passive. Coupled that with the rest of your build, you will reach 30% CDR after your 3rd Crit Item. Getting Xayah to 30% CDR is really nice, since she works best with the combination of Abilities and AA. After Essence Reaver, I'd recommend more AS and Crit. Go for either Phantom Dancer or Rapid Firecannon, but do NOT go Runaan's Hurricane!!!(Read why in the next section).
After finishing your AS/Crit item, I recommend you buy Vampiric Scepter (900G), just for the 10% Lifesteal (LS) There is a point around there (mid to "late-mid" game) where people usually catch up (or you already won lol), and that little lifesteal can really save your *** and make your life a little easier. After [Vampiric Scepter]], proceed to Infinity Edge :)
WHY HURRICANE IS BAD ON XAYAH!!!
Runaan's Hurricane is recommended in the standard build, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS ON HER!. The reason being, that she has more than enough wave clear with her passive Clean Cuts + Bladecaller. It is simply unnecessary. AS/Crit items like Phantom Dancer or Rapid Firecannon give much more utility with their passives, they are way better options when you already have good wave clear. Since Xayah doesn't have any on-hit effects either, Hurricane is a misunderstood and wasted item on her!
From there, you'll need lifesteal (LS). Choose between Blade of the Ruined King, Bloodthirster or Mercurial Scimitar.
BotRK is especially good against Tanks because of the passive. It now gives 15% Lifesteal, fair amount of AD and AS, but its mostly because of the passive you want it.
Bloodthirster is another good option because of the 20% LS, the passive and 75 extra AD. Taking BT is best against enemy teams with high and consistent damage output. If you couple BT with BotRK you will get a ***ping 35% LS and you can definitely feel that! But often, 1 of them is enough to survive.
Mercurial Scimitar is best against heavy enemy CC teams. Nothing more to that.
If you feel like you get 1-shot all the time, and therefore really can't participate in team fights, because u are already dead after 2 seconds, Guardian Angel would be highly recommended!
Different paths: Depending on your enemy team combo, how the game evolved etc., you might want to look at your options. Personally I see 3 different builds that works with Xayah, all situational on the specific game:
- 1: 100% Crit
- 2: 35% Lifesteal
- 3: Survivability
- 4: Mix of the above
1) The 100% Critical Chance. This first build is the core (AS Boots, E.R, PD/RFC, I.E.) with one LS item BotRK/BT and the one you didnt take as your AS/Crit item (RFC/PD). This build can solo Baron and a 5-drake Elder Dragon, as long as you use your abilities right!
2) 35% Lifesteal build. Great for soloing objectives (more comfortable than build #1). In longer, more sustained fights, this build will also help you alot staying alive for longer time. If your enemy team has a fed Zed or Kata, you might not have a chance anyways with this build tho.
3) Survivability. Core is the same ofc, but the last two items will be Mercurial Scimitar for LS and QSS and a GA.
4) The Mix build can for instance sacrifice the last AS/Crit Item for a GA or a Merc. If you go with Merc you'll either hit 25% or 30% LS (Depending if you chose BotRK or BT). But this Mix Build does require you to take either BotRK or BT, and combine it with either GA or Merc. Personally, I'd recommend BotRK with Merc, BotRK with GA OR BT with GA. But it's a bad idea going BT and Merc in my opinion.
However, I believe it is as much a solid choice to choose to max E first, then Q and W. W doesn't seem to be necessary to max, since you only need that skill for the 30% AS and passive prog. E does scale with both AD and Crit, and it really does a hell of a lot of Damage, so maxing E as the first is completely as viable as Q.
I would recommend to start with Q every time though, the reason being the easy poke and for last hitting the first 3 melee minions if you had to help your Jungler at the beginning.
To summarize:
1# Skill Sequence in max order: R, Q, E, W
2# Skill Sequence in max order: R, E, Q, W
Pros:
- Great outplay potential!
- Late-Game Beast!
- Good utility (Hitting 3 feathers with E snares, Ult makes you Untargetable!)
- Easy waveclear!
- Solo objectives with only 1 LS item due to her abilities
Cons:
- Struggles in early game
- ADC 2017; Squishy as ****
- Self-Positioning
- Feathers Positioning
