How to counter Ryze

One Q and Cass can spam E like five times and take away half his health or more. Her burst [i]and[/i] her harass are far superior. Your problem is probably playing too defensively earlygame and/or letting him harass you for free.[/quote]

As I said before his Q is short range so it's really not that hard to tell when he's going to use it on you. As a melee champion you'll have a lot of difficulty with last hitting without getting harassed, but it shouldn't be too hard on an AP mid as long as you're aware of your surroundings.[/quote]

[/quote] You can safely harass [[Ryze]] with [[Noxious Blast]], but as said above even when he has a full mana page [[Cassiopeia]] should come out at early trades all the time unless your not running any AP quints in which case you shouldn't expect to be on top of trades.[/quote]
