Play her as as secondary AP Carry.
Decent solo top, shines mid/late game.

Personally, I love playing karma. But i'm a weirdo and play her solo top vs aggressive bruisers (trynd, rumble, etc). Works quite well. Doran's stack into WoTA Rylais gg.
Actually this is how I started playing her as well. I think rushing anything other than Doran's at the beginning was really crippling my ability to lane properly.
My best start was Dorans + lvl 1 boots + Doran's + CDR boots + Doran's and by then I was powerful enough to get a few anti gank kills (Herro turret divers, meet my supa shield and heal). Once the kills come in I switched over to "real" gear.
Very fun champ, possibly worked her way into #2 on my buy list.
You can't peddle papooses with a dancing monkey.
Karma might be one of the more balanced champs and therefore get no headlights and as such no focus and is forgotten :/
Karma hidden OP with the right team!

Karma itself is better than many other supports. She has AoE heal with kinda low CD, and can use it twice if she has 2 mantras. The mov speed is good, and can slow enemies. The shield is really strong, and the damege is great.
Shes just not popular

Problems with that is that without farm she loses utility. Lots of it. She has barely no cc and both heal and shield needs ap for effectiveness. Same as kayle really. Can be played pure support but she loses out.
correct, another problem is her heal is very unreliable, especially early game with very little CDR. in regards to farm this is also true, but it's not as if she needs a ton of farm. It more depends on how well your team is doing. Karma is very dependent on her team, probably more so than other supports. She isn't like other supports and can carry her team despite them doing poorly
I still maintain that she is the best support in terms of healing and absorbing damage, infact I can't think of a support who is even close to her.
Thanks for the Signature MissMaw!

Janna, only Janna's healing is overall lover in trade-off of her cyclone thing

I solo top Karma (in normals) and it's actually pretty damn good against a team that doesn't follow the meta perfectly. Against more organized team comps she's still far from useless, but doesn't really excel.
Where Karma truly shines is ARAM custom games. Max shield first and watch the enemy team go, "WTF I THOUGHT KARMA SUCKED" when you become the team's carry (who also happens to have a nice heal).
Her nuke is not the highest, but it is very surprising to most people.

I play her as support, the way she was intended to be played i guess (not downing alternate styles/builds of Karma play, would encourage it actually). She has alot more depth than most supports, and alot more utility in terms of not just supporting her own team but debilitating the enemy
