Gp is not op IMO
Rumble should definately be your choice, he ***** on most tops, cuz they don't have a mr page.. Silly top-laners, therefore gaining lane-dominance.
Win your lane, Win your game.
Gp needs to win his lane bigtime, else he's utter useless the rest of the game, and after his several nerfs and the jungle rework, he is in no way op anymore.
IMO, rumble offers:
Better laning, better midgame due to farm, equal endgame

Gangplank.
Polse is slightly right, but also wrong in a sense too.
Rumble is a great laner, so is GP, and GP probably lanes better vs squishies.
Also GP is not completely useless if he doesn't get farm, far from it. His parrrley allows him to farm like nobody's business, even if he doesn't win lane he still can support team like a boss with his ult, and still keep up with the enemy top due to his parrrley. Lategame GP is practically unstoppable if you don't have a solid counter to him, and can certainly carry games by himself, which Rumble can't do. Rumble tends to fall off a bit lategame anyways, imo.
1 v 1 I would say GP wins hard.
It depends on your playstyle though. If you like AP mages, I would suggest Rumble. If you like tanky bruisers or TONS OF DAMAGE champions, I would suggest GP.

GP just farms to hard IMO.
Not only can he come out a couple of thousand gold ahead of the person hes lanning against, he doesn't even have to lean the lane to help out in team fights if need be.

Urgh i'm so confused ;D
EDIT
Since i've been saving up for him, i'll buy Rumble and then save up for GP :3
They are both good picks.
GP just just can help the team with his ult while still farming top lane.

I've always had a thing for playing characters that are unknown and making them good, i guess i never really like playing the same old usual boring characters (xin zhao, miss fortune etc etc), thats why my main character that i play is Twisted Fate, i hardly ever see anyone use him. So i was browsing the shop and i saw a charcter called "Rumble". I was confused, i had never seen this guy in any game, ever. I look at his abilities, checked the champion spotlight and he looked pretty good. I started saving up for him.
Now i current have 4800+ and i was about to buy him, but my last game i played against a Gangplank who completely owned my entire team, i saw how OP he was and how much damage his Parrrley did and i was so surprised. Then i noticed that GP was 3150 so now i don't know who to buy.
I guess if i bought GP and just owned people here and there i wouldn't feel good, im not getting any better by playing a OP character but gah i just don't know.
TL:DR Like unknown but good characters, was going to get rumble then saw how op gangplank was, now can't decide.
Could you guys help me decide? :D
