As much as you hate "unskilled players" Blian, no, Riot will never ban anyone that causes you to lose a game. Everyone at any Elo, including yours, plays at more or less the same level, just some people have bad games or have to go up against someone having a particularly good game, causing someone either way to look bad and possibly result in a loss for their team.

If you ban every player that does badly/looks like an "unskilled player" from ranked, eventually there would only be 9 people left who can play ranked.

Stop crying about "kids" and "unskilled players" who ruin your games. I can confirm that games are often ruined by single players at Master tier too, and if you get matched with them on your team again the next game they may well just end up carrying you when you get camped and die 3 times in lane. What you're dealing with is nothing new, and nothing that can be fixed with a quick ban wave of all the "unskilled players" that cry about your toxicity. The challenge of ranked is being good enough to consistently carry all the **** you get in solo Q. If the enemy mid laner is good enough to go 3/0 in 7 minutes, then there's no reason you can't be good enough to go 5/0 in 9 minutes. There's no reason you can't be good enough to have a bigger impact on the game even with less gold than them.

The fact that you have consecutive games like these at silver 2 just shows that you have a lot to improve on before you can climb to where you want to be.

And it doesn't matter that you weren't the worst player on your team those games, you still played bad and by the logic I've seen you use before on this forum, you should be permabanned from ranked for feeding and preventing Jax from winning this game.

I don't really want to find excuses or defend myself but as ranked season is over I was in a mood to try out champions that I rarely play or have never played furthermore figuring out masteries.

I have never said that I deserve diamond or something hence for me learning new champions, match-ups takes time but I think as long as I don't go 1/15 in a game I'm fine. If you did dig in you could find more games like those above but also the opposite when I was climbing.

But as I said I don't wanna find excuses. We are not on the same page, that's all.

Yeah, but isn't it about personal improvement? I mean, one can easily analyse oneself even if some other member of the team is having a bad game. Also, one match is not going to make a whole lot of difference regarding your overall performance. If we'd state this in an absolute fashion, however, as in, it happens every game, then I'm fairly certain it would no longer be worth the effort.
It depends on my mood. I can always analyse myself or learn from the toxic player, even if he/she's being toxic, as long as he/she is good. Someone making several mistakes doesn't help in this way because we can already notice mistakes easily in people of our own skill level, so a feeder won't give scarce information.

Now if we take that 2% of the playerbase is toxic, you have around a 20% chance of encountering at least one toxic player in every game. That's a good chunk of your games (a small % goes up quickly). To top that off I don't play ranked too often, so every individual game means a lot more. And don't get me into promotion series.

Not that it matters too much since the original question didn't give context. Personally, how often toxicity/feeds happen also affects how much I'm willing to take it. If I'm on a feeding streak (either me or my teammates, doesn't matter) I'll be more than willing to take an ******* if he carries the game.

I think it has everything to do with the fact that online gaming as a whole is maturing, and not with the average age of the players. Up until a few years ago, online gaming wasn't all that normal; more of a fringe group than the bulk of society, as a result, you get a different norm. However, nowadays, especially with a game as popular as LoL, online gaming has become a part of society and its culture, hence it must adhere to its norms and values as well, which is why people tend to take toxic behaviour more seriously.
Well you're saying it way better than me so I might as well walk away...

I like this thread. It's an interesting conversation to have. It really depends on your personality. I personally have more fun when I win, so I'd rather have to mute someone than win, rather than lose and be have someone be nice to me.

I kinda feel like this whole war against inexperienced players/players who have a bad game is just caused by random kids finding excuses for a lost game... etcetera. You should get my point here; blaming a loss on a toxic player is no different from blaming it on someone who had a bad game, except that the toxic player is actually doing something that is not socially acceptable.

It really depends what you are looking for from League of Legends. If you are looking to have a good time within League of Legends, playing with someone unskilled but polite probably is what you are looking for. The other side of the coin is you might just be interested in winning which brings you happiness which then allows one to hope for a toxic player but is skillful.

Do remember though, a person that wants to win may want to win on his merit only and if someone is skillful and toxic, that person might just make the skillful toxic player lose in spite of their attitude. This is however also toxic.

Personally I just want to be matched with someone who's as good as me who doesn't need to flame. That's really what I'm looking for in League of Legends.
