My brother and I both used Riven at different times, facing different Darius' solo top. Each time, Darius got facerolled. I also managed to beat one with Pantheon.

I made a op lane darius cry with top lane Lulu, he just couldn't get close enough to do anything. Seems to be one of the easiest ways to deal with this walking battering ram of a champion is to just not let him get close enough. He's just got such a short range and would be reliant on summoner spells to get close to his opponent.
I like melee champions with some decent range for that reason. Gap closers also help. My favourite example would be Pantheon.
