That's an interesting build. I don't see many
Avarice Blade users out there, but I like the idea of getting even more gold on my carry. My question is - wouldn't you get bullied in lane by anyone who went double or triple
Doran's Blade early? Gaining an extra gp5 isn't going to help much if you can't CS reliably because you are sitting under the turret or constantly recalling. I know you mentioned having 12% lifesteal, but how much health are you really getting with only +10 AD?
I almost feel like this build might benefit more from building an
Executioner's Calling in the place of the
Avarice Blade. You lose the gp5 but get more crit and even more lifesteal. Not really sure if that would help much either as you are still not getting any AD...but I'm not sure.
Either way it's an intriguing start that I might toy with a few times.

You can't peddle papooses with a dancing monkey.
Nooo. Buy
Cloak and Dagger
OPEEEEEE.
And don't forget the Exes onhit thing. It adds up! And it's super annoying if somebody tries to recall.

It really varies if i go for double doran's or not. Most of the time i do go for double doran's though, since it's just soo strong on "ad-casters", but if i'm on a auto-attack carry that totally mostly relies on AA'ing and not AD-scaling abilities i often go for it after 1 doran's(if i'm not loosing that is).
Examples:
Ashe, Corki and Tristana - theese 3 are pretty much the only carries i play and they work really well with it since they need(especially ashe and tristana) an early IE to keep up with the others in damage.
On AD-casters like:
Sivir, MF and graves double or triple

Ah I see! Yeah I think that the burstier AD casters really scale better with multiple
Doran's Blades.
Do you turn that
Avarice Blade into a Ghostblade later on, or just turn around and sell it?

Do you turn that

The problem with most Gp10 items is that the counter-part it needs to build into the final item is usually exponentially better...
Examples:
Avarice Blade +
The Brutalizer...
Heart of Gold +
Warden's Mail... Kage's Lucky Pick +
Fiendish Codex
Philosopher's Stone is pretty awesome though.

Problem is avarice blade doesn't build into anything you could use. Where zeal does, gives you more stats, and doesn't cost too much more.
You are going to hurt yourself with the purchase of an avarice blade purely by slowing down the time that you have you zeal + IE combo. That is when you really start to shine as an ad carry, and you should be trying to get to that point as fast as possible.

The thing is.. doesn't matter that you don't build it into anything, the crit stat it gives is all you need to rush an IE. And where zeal used to be superior, i don't feel that the MS and AS boost ads up to getting it before IE anymore, which is why that if you do a couple of B's, the avarice blade is just superior as a low-cost item.
Also it pays for itself really quickly.

Before the zeal nerf a pretty standard ad-build was:
You got the zeal because it gave you everything required for an IE rush. The MS for positioning and survivability and the crit.
Now people just tend to skip the zeal alltogether and go:
The problem with this is that you "only" get 25% crit from the
