Champion Build Guide
Below is a full gameplay of Xerath Support. Throughout it I talk about how I play the lane and why I have chosen certain runes/items. In this game I am playing with Jhin in the botlane. The synergy Jhin and Xerath have a duo lane is insane! This is primarily down to their ultimates...no one can escape their 2 ults when popped off together! As well as the ultimates the general poke in lane is enough to make the opposing adc lose CS and in turn stay under tower botlane.
Pros / Cons
Pros:
- CRAZY POKE FROM LEVEL 1
- SCALES WELL LATE GAME
- GREAT CC
- RANGE IS OP AT STEALING OBJECTIVES AND LOCKING DOWN KILLS
- GREAT MANA SUSTAIN
Cons:
- NO ESCAPE
- DAMAGE RELIES ON ACCURACY OF SKILLSHOTS
- ULTIMATE HARD TO HIT ON HIGH MOBILITY CHAMPS
Xeraths biggest counters are champions who silence/stun easily with a gap closer.

Talon
These champions can close distance and avoid your skill shots. Xerath constantly wants to keep people at long range and never let them get up close and personal!! If any of these champions get within melee range make sure you disengage with your E and potentially blow Flash. Taking Stopwatch should buy you enough time in team fights for your ADC/Jungler to get them off of you.
Managing mana as Xerath is a lot easier than most supports/midlaners!
Manaflow Band/Ludens/Passive will make sure you NEVER run out of mana and you are able to maximise your poke! Try and get a lost chapter on your first back and prioritise a Ludens from the get go!
In the botlane your summoner spells will always consist of Flash and either Ignite or Exhaust. Your ADC will always take Heal so there is no point in doubling up and if you take Barrier you are focusing too much on yourself and not winning the lane.
Play aggressive, build aggressive and make them fear the aggression.

XERATH COMBO!
ENGAGE COMBO : E + W + Q + R
SLOW COMBO : W + E + Q
Constantly using Q followed by W in lane is best in order to poke the champion down. Use E mainly for escaping or for keeping champions away. Just remember engaging with your E and missing it may result in..............death.
The best rune for Xerath right now is most definitely Comet! Electrocute is good for trading but for overall damage Comet is key. Comet is specifically great on Xerath due to him having good CC in the form of a stun/slow.
Manaflow band combined with your passive gives you unbelievable sustain in lane, this combined with a Morellos with ensure you will never be OOM!
Absolute focus mixes great with Comet/Scorch. The extra damage helps trade early and keep your opponents under tower at range!
Scorch is a great rune that synergizes well with Absolute Focus, the damage straight from level 1 is fantastic for support poke. This can be traded out for Gathering the Storm for games you potentially think will last longer!
Eyeball collection and Cheapshot help play into Xeraths early game damage and maximises his poke potential. Cheapshot can be procced due to his W slow and great in teamfights. Eyeball collection helps add to his general damage as he gains kills/assists in lane.
