A good Azir will 100% win against a Ryze at all stages of the game. Basically just flash his ult and try to read him. I can't actually think of any other bad matchups in mid as long as you have good mechanics.

Champion Build Guide
I am a Challenger Ryze main who has climbed to +1000lp every season since season 6. You might think that Ryze is weak this season, but he's actually one of the best champs right now. Riot is cautiously buffing him occasionally which is great for all elos. You can hard carry games that go past 30 minutes no matter how behind you are, and people don't respect Ryze DPS in low elo.
- you can easily kite with EWQ to trigger root+passive+phaserush. This will get you out of ANY fight easily.
- Ult should be used at the END of teamfights to chase whoever you didn't kill. Using it at the start lets their team prepare skillshots like Sion Q.
- You can execute an enemy with your R with a nunu or sion charging up R/Q respectively. This will net you a kill EVERY TIME.
- Dark harvest is infinitely scaling, meaning this runepage will outscale any champion in the game.
