Zyra

Major

Her poke damage can be overbearing if the game goes extended. She have good poke and you have no protection for your carry so you got to play it safe before 6. After 6 she basically become free food as you can engage on her and basically feel nothing thanks to aftershock. Be careful when she get liandry/rylai.

Brand

Major

Basically same as Zyra but his damage is huge and deal % , if you are not careful it can be deadly, but it's fairly easy to win lane before 6 . You need to play aggressive to don't get pushed out of the lane.

Blitzcrank

Tiny

If he hook you, you engage on his carry, if he hook your ADC, you engage his carry. Blitz can't do nothing against your engage but you can deny his. Be careful for hook under tower +ignite. Rest is fairly easy.

Thresh

Even

This is a skillmatchup. If Thresh know what he is doing, you are going to have a bad time engaging as he can flay you out of your Zenith Blade and make it impossible to disengage with his ultimate. However if he can't time his flay correctly, it's basically free to engage on him or his carry as he is fairly squishy early game. Abuse of it to get lane dominance.

Alistar

Major

Alistar in good hand can be a pain in the ass to deal with as he can engage on your carry if you engage on their and basically make it 1v2 with his headbutt. If you try to engage on him , he can stun you and headbutt you to his carry or disengage you entirely by pushing you back. Bad Alistar however make this matchup a minor one as they either engage without follow or miss their W+Q combo. If you spot that they miss their combo, engage. It's the time to shine.

Pyke

Minor

Pyke is fairly easy to deal with as you can basically lock him down as soon he try to Q your carry and make it impossible for him to do his job properly. If he try to W away, Zenith+Shield of daybreak and Solar Blade so your carry can melt him before he recover. Be careful of his ultimate as it can be game changing when you get low.

Morgana

Extreme

Her kit is a pure annoyance for you. She can deny your whole kit by the press of 1 button. Try to bait her shield before even thinking about engaging. If she shield her carry, focus her and vice versa. Full tenacity Leona do wonder against Morgana as you never stay snared long enought for her and her team to take you down and you can do your job effectively.

Fiddlesticks

Major

Annoying for your combo because of 1 Spell. His Q. Basically this lane is fairly easy because Fiddlestick is fairly squishy but his Q can fuck you up real hard. You need to win this lane at level 2 with all in on him to basically place his ADC in a 2v1 position and snowball from there. His E can be annoying so try to don't stick to close to your carry and minions because the bounce can be bothering on the long run. Be careful of bush ultimate combo after 6.

Tristana

Ideal

Her rocket jump make it fairly easy for Tristana to follow your engage and as soon you hit your Zenith blade, if she follow it's almost a garented kill everytime. I recommend this combo.

Kai'Sa

Strong

Kai'Sa being strong with lockdown mean she work pretty well with Leona. The main downside is pre 6. If Kai'Sa doesn't react to your engage, you are basically screwed as she weak pre 6. Other than that, great synergy in general thanks to her ultimate, she can follow you during your engage and mitigate damage.

Jhin

Strong

Jhin is fairly strong in right hand and can abuse of Leona lockdown to his W most of the time unless he can't aim(Lol). Your passive proc empower his basic attack and it can be massive boost late game as he get heavy AD. The only drawback is the reload, if you end engaging and he have to reload it can be deadly for you and him as enemy carry have time to retaliate.

Ezreal

None

Ezreal have no synergy with Leona. Everytime I see someone pick Ezreal, I basically sigh as There is nothing that work with Leona and Ezreal. He like to poke and Leona is there to engage, he basically stay away from your engage making it almost useless to engage.

Ashe

Strong combination of slow and stun from Leona and Ashe but their is a drawback to this combination. If Ashe get engaged on and can't position properly , she is going to die and you as well. The lockdown is amazing, I can't deny but Ashe mobility make it risky in the diver/assassins meta we have right now. You need perfect sync to make it work. Risky but strong if used correctly.

Lucian

Ideal

Lucian passive make him an amazing dueler on bot lane and the fact that he can dash to follow your engage make it pretty strong. As long your Lucian know what he is doing, this is almost a free win botlane because he outdamage most of the ADC right now.

Miss Fortune

Strong

As people say Mf and Leona is deadly but if either miss their combo it can turn to strong to low. You need to hit your combo for it to work. If you can hit it, it's deadly. Drawback is again mobility. Dark harvest being changed, Mf got hit. Be careful and make sure she position correctly because it can go wrong fairly easily.

Her rocket jump make it fairly easy for Tristana to follow your engage and as soon you hit your Zenith blade, if she follow it's almost a garented kill everytime. I recommend this combo.
