Introduction

Hello and welcome to my first Champion Guide. As someone who primarily plays support roles I have found out that when playing as a support, you do the best at doing just that, supporting. With this build it may seem expensive and gold dependent but during a long-term game the auras and beefy-ness of this Sona build will have your allies wanting to constantly stay near you due to your spell and item auras.

Runes

This build requires a TON of mana, I have found that focusing the mana leveling into your runes mostly really helps out and saves item space for early game lane pushing with a strong ADC by your side.

Masteries

The masteries I have chosen mostly focus on CDR, giving you 10% CRD right at level 1, making you able to spam spells quickly to help push your lane.

Items

For this build the items are focus primarily on AURA giving attributes that couple with your primary spell auras, making you better than any neutral butt on the map. In team fights, if your are present, your constant spell spams along with your auras you emit will have your team winning most any team battle if initiated properly.

Summoner Spells

Exhaust is an obvious choice for any support to free up your ADC's Summoner Spells for ignite and one of their choosing, but I usually run clarity so that early to mid game you should be constantly dominating the lane you are in due to the constant supply of mana you have over the enemies you are laning with.

Farming

With Sona, if not any support role, you really should not be farming creep unless your ADC is currently out of the lane. Focusing on damaging the creep for them, especially the tank creep by hitting it with your Q-auto attack combo Sona has.

Team Work

Sona is a MUST for team fights, she buffs everyone else along with having an awesome stun for an ultimate that does mild damage and buys your team a small window of time to either get into the team fight or to put on alittle extra damage they would not have the time to do earlier. All of the auras that are crammed into this build will help your team dominate most team fights if initiated properly by your team.

Pros / Cons

The cons of this build are that it may be time consuming and very gold heavy to get the build 100% complete but that normally goes the same for any build. The pros are magnificent though, Your team is buffed beyond belief as long as they are around you.

Summary

In all this is a very supportive guide to playing Sona. All of the items listed for purchase compliment her primary spells in one way or another, and if not then they benefit your team more than you.
