Here I'm gonna show you some runes that are really important while playing Ornn.
GRASP - Every 4s your next attack on a champion deals bonus damage, heals you, and permanently increases your health. Ornn is very good at trading on lane. He's got much damage, cc and health. With Grasp you will be able to stay much longer in fight especially in 1v1 or 2v2 and you won't lose much HP + you will gain some permanent health wich is very good for Ornn.
BONE PLATING - After taking damage from an enemy champion, their next three spells or attacks against you deal 15-40 less damage. Ornn is a tank type of champion with cc on practically every skill (including passive [W
and R
passive]). That means he got to go into whole enemy team with his allies behind and start the teamfight using his many knockups. The Bone Plating gives him the abillity to do that.
REVITALIZE is no longer effective on Ornn, because of his mini rework. He no longer has shield on W.
TIME WARP TONIC - Your potions or biscuits grant 50% of their health and mana immediately and grant you increased movement speed.
With Biscuit Delivery it makes a good combo + passive. You get biscuit, u heal and regain mana, u forge item, u can stay on the lane and dominate it.

DORAN'S SHIELD - +80 bonus health and resoring 6 HP every 5s. Unique Passive: Restore 20hp over 10s after taking damage from enemy champion. That means after not very succesful OR succesful trade on lane you can regain some health and go back to farming. Works perfectly with Passive. After killing enemy in 1v1 you regain health quickly and craft
and you don't have to go back to base so fast. You will be able to take 1 more wave of creeps.
CORE ITEMS
ICEBORN GAUNTLET - +500 Mana (abillity to overstay on lane and push more), 20% Cooldown Reduction (greater contribution in teamfights because of more skills used), +65 Armor (TANK IS GOOD MORE TANK ORNN LIKE TANK)
RIGHTEOUS GLORY - Ornn isn't very mobile champion wich is annoying for players. When teamfight starts on midlane and you are scarcely going from the river. Teamfight ends you lost it, enemy took baron and just took your inhib. Well, hello! Ornn just arrived mid for a fight! Yup, that is why Glory is very important item. Fine it gives you Armor and HP, but the speed of going into teamfight is the most important reason why you build this item. You need to go in quickly to win the fight, and the game.
