Evelynn Passive Ability
Introduction

I have seen and heard alot of questions regarding if you should build AD or AP Evelynn? There are different perks with the different builds, although I prefer building AD for the substained damage instead of the "Hit and Run"-style with AP.
Lets start with AD:
Attack Damage is as you know based on your substained damage from your Auto/Basic Attacks. If you don't have the right items of say; Armor penetration, life steal and/or attack speed there might occur problems. But the good thing with AD builds is that you don't have to rely on your abilites as much as AP does. Most players have either played or seen AP champions go down simply because their spells are on cooldowns. With AD you don't have that problem. And also, you are not as mana dependant as AP builds since it is your basic attacks that does the damage. And I also like AD builds because of their big crits! ;)
Following with the AP:
The burst-item setup. Can nuke insanely fast if built right but is mana dependant, and on champions like Evelynn that have a very low mana pool there might occur problems concerning this matter. And lets not talk about the cooldowns! I simply don't feel that
Hate Spike does enough damage, even if I build full out AP and
Ravage has far to long cooldown to be used as a spamm spell like the
Hate Spike. Also your ultimates Attack speed bonus goes wasted since you no longer use attack speed.
So now you have heard arguments of why I prefer AD builds :)

Pros:
Good lategamer
Can switch lanes fast and unnoticed
Players becomes somewhat afraid when she is missing
Her "E" reduces magic resistance and armor of her target
Insanely long duration of her invisibility
Cons:
Not the strongest champion
Needs a lot of farming and will be hard to do so with
Often focused as soon they realise it's you that is doing crazy damage
Very mana dependant. More in the early game but also lategame
And she is creepy as hell!! T-T

In this section I will explain what the different abilites do.
Hate Spike (The "E") Spikes the closest enemy to Evelynn 25/40/55/70/85 damage (+28% of ability power). To me this ability is pretty useless when it comes to it's damage, but the cooldown is awesome. The less than one second cooldown takes full use of your
Sheen.
Shadow Walk (The "W") This is Evelynn's invisibility spell and it has the longest duration of any invisibility in the game (Well not alone. Twitch's
Ambush has the same duration, but you understand what I'm trying to say). It also slows the target struck for 30/35/40/45/50% movement speed for 3 seconds (Note that
Hate Spike can slow two enemies since it strikes 2 targets!)
Ravage Deals 80/135/190/255/320 magic damage (+ 100% of ability power) and lowers the targets armor and magic resistance by 10/14/18/22/26 for 5 seconds.
Agony's Embrace (Ultimate!) Passive: Each time Evelynn scores a kill or assist she is healed for 150/225/300 health.
Active: Evelynn gains 25/50/75% attack speed and 20/25/30% movement speed for 10 seconds (can be cast while stealthed without breaking it). NOTE: This ability does NOT cost any mana and is refreshed each time an enemy champion dies!

In this section I am going to explain how you should "play" during the different periods in the game.
This is Evelynn's weakest period. She hits like a **** until she gets Sheen, then she can start farming minions. Try to gank mid and the other lane as much as possible, because since you can't get money from minions you are gonna need it from kills. Make sure that your team knows that you are coming for a gank. Make yourself Invisible before you enter the lane and when the enemy has a bad position, strike him down! Open with your slow and then use your
Ravage to lower the champions Magic Resistance and Armor. Use
Hate Spike pretty much as many times you can, since it procs your
Sheen (which is basically your damage during the early game).
In this period it has hopefully gone very good for you and you have got a good number of kills. When you get your
Phantom Dancer and
Infinity Edge you are gonna deal tons of damage but you are not invincible so don't charge in on unnescessary terms. Continue ganking and always go for the weak carries and/or their casters in the team fights. Also note that if you kill an enemy you get healed, so taking out the entire team in a fight pretty much keeps you alive actually.
If neither side hasn't won, and you get your lovely
Guardian Angel and
Bloodthirster the enemy sure are in for some trouble. This late you are going to do VERY good damage without your
Sheen procs, BUT! I very strongly reccomend you to use it as much as you can since it still increases your damage.

This is how the start looks like. 1 Pair of boots along with 2 health potions in case something goes bad (These are needed almost every time) and 1 mana potion when you run out of mana

The reason I don't go 9/0/21 is that I don't find Cooldown reduction, Spell Vamp and increased starting gold very nescessary. And you get the movement speed from your items anyway.
I prefer going 24/0/6 with attack speed, crit chance, damage, armor penetration and life steal in the offensive tree.
Build! Spent an hour trying to fix this but it didn't work so i apologize but you will just have to look at the top of the build

The reason why I chose these runes were because:
Greater Mark of Desolation Armor Penetration is always good on AD champions, especially early game. It gives increased damage and Evelynn isn't really the strongest champion early game.
Greater Seal of Armor Increased armor for defence. If you get bashed on it's not very funny to be too squishy.....
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist Almost the same reason as the Armor glyphs. Spell casters can be really nasty and it's always good to have atleast some defensive stuff
Greater Quintessence of Desolation The thing about armor penetration again. Read the Text above.
Why not
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed? Because you already have enough movement speed from your
Mobility Boots,
Trinity Force and
Phantom Dancer. The Armor Penetration Quints will be so much more use to you than extra speed. Over 500 movement speed is a little too much in my opinion. Plus you also have your ultimate in the chases, which will reset each time a champion is killed.

I normally choose
Exhaust and
Flash. I don't find Evelynn's and
Trinity Force slow lasting long enough so I usually take
Exhaust as well and
Flash can always be used for something. There ARE going to be times where you need to make a run for it but get slowed and you are done for. In those cases
Flash is good. Here are some other spells that can be used as well based on your personal preferencies:
Heal: A good spell early game, less good in lategame. In the early game where the
Heal is really useful I don't do much anyway. I just help out in ganks but I'm not the great duelist so for me this goes away.
Ignite A great spell against champions with health regeneration such as
Dr. Mundo,
Fiddlesticks,
Tryndamere,
Volibear,
Vladimir and
Warwick. If you are playing Draft Pick where you get to see your opponents and they have 2 of those champions, PICK IT! It is gonna help you.
Teleport In case that you have a jungler in your team and the guy on solo top is gonna have a hard time against the enemy team, teleport can be useful to prevent a turret loss or to help push.
Smite The OBVIOUS choice if you are jungling. Unfortunatly this guide does not contain a chapter of jungling but if you know how to build Evelynn and decides to go jungling, ALWAYS pick
Smite.

This is very important for Evelynn. She actually needs to farm minions and hunt down enemy champions at the same time. Use
Hate Spike every 2 seconds for the
Sheen proc and hit the minions! When attacking towers make sure you are standing close to the minions so you can use your
Hate Spike for your
Sheen proc (The proc does work on towers as well!)
And by the way (I thought i'd add this here since minions belongs to being farmed) When you have all of your items (If the game goes that far) Get the green and the red elixir and you CAN solo baron all by yourself. Just make sure to spamm your
Hate Spike for
Sheen procs, use
Ravage whenever you can and do NOT hesitate! If you stop attacking you will most certainly die becuase what keeps you alive is your lifesteal.
