If the Zed is good, u are in BIG trouble, but if you provide your team with ss and survive the lane, you outscale him. My go-to ban and in my opinion the hardest matchup.

Hide behind minions, don't push and you should be ok.
Akali
Stay under turret, in case of a dive ult her into your turret.

You simply poke him to death.
Akshan
He outdamages you early so you should wait for your jungler and cc lock him. If your jungler isn't near, don't fight, Akshan either kills you or runs away with his e.

Farming lane, gives you a lot of opportunities to scale.

Farming lane, though she san ult you and deal lots of dmg while you're cc'd. Don't overextend.

This is a joke of a champion. Play like normal, if he w's you with the package you ult him and then go from w range with e.

After rework he's one of the biggest counters to azir. You should farm under tower and wait for the jungler's help and cc lock him.

if you see her dashing in your direction instantly ult to stpo her damage. You can easily poke her.
Ekko
Oneshots you and can ult from your turret. Potential ban.
Fizz
If you w+e+q from him when he lands his ult on you, you are safe. Overall it's a solid matchup, but it's very hard to kill in lane.
Galio
His passive is annoying, but you can dodge his e and ult easily. Poke him to death.
Gangplank
You poke him to death and you can dash from his barrels. In later stages of the games he kills you with q+passive so watch out.
Gragas
The bomba guy shreds your health when he lands e, so dodge it by all means necessary. Besides that, he heals a lot, so don't try to poke him needlessly.

Don't fight when you have minions and you easily win by ulting her (either away or into your turret. Just remember to do that when she doesn't have her mark on you or she'll dash to you again and you'll die.

If you ss, this matchup is free, just keep away from the daggers.

Ap varus midlane is not as strong as it used to be, but it's still strong. Stay out of his range and poke with q.

Abuse your early game, if he tries to cage you, you can even stay inside, because you can deploy 2 soldiers and outdamage him (in laning phase ofc)
Vel'Koz
Dodging skills are useful in this matchup, because if he misses his e you easily outdamage him.
Vex
You can block her ult with yours, but her poking capabilities are very strong. If you dodge her e you can go for an extended trade with her.
Viktor
A farming lane, try to block him for kill participations so he doesn't upgrade his abilities fast.
Vladimir
You don't deal damage to him, so it's best to leave him alone. If you fight, bait his w and ult him into your turret.

Hi, I'm Asturic and this is my guide on Azir. This is my first guide so i will be grateful for any tips on how to make my guide better.
I've recently been really into Azir, and i would like to share my experiences with him.
I'm in Silver, and i like Azir because you can deal a lot of damage and also make plays with your ult.
I do not know how to code so most of the code is not mine, but i am happy to discuss the things i can change to make my guide better :3

Runes
Lethal Tempo is good on Azir because you will propably have a lot of extended fights in which you can proc it and deal insane DPS. When backlaning try to get a few autoattacks in before deploying your Arise! or going in with your Emperor's Divide. This rune is pretty weak in lane when you have no AS but it really shows its usefulness in the later stages of the game. You can switch it up with Conqueror if you want, but then i recommend picking an AS shard.
Azir relies on his autoattacks so it wouldn't be smart to pick free attack speed. In very rare situations you can take Legend: Tenacity when the enemy team has a lot of crowd control abilities.
img=imgur.com/a/uDqnSE4You are going to have a lot of extended trades when your opponent and you will both have low hp. You can either pick Coup de Grace or Last Stand when you see what there is going to be a lot of situations like these. Take Cut Down when there are 3 tanks in the enemy team.

Items
You have 3 choices for your mythic item while playing Azir:
Luden's Tempest in most of the situations. It gives you a lot of AP, mana and magic penetration from your mythic passive so it's the backbone of your build.
Crown of the Shattered Queen while playing against an assassin like Talon. It gives you a chance to survive their combo and be useful in a teamfight.
Liandry's Torment while playing against 2 or more tanks. Azir doesn't really have armor penetration or percentages on his abilities so this is a good choice.
Nashor's Tooth is a must have on Azir. It gives you a lot of AP and AS plus additional On-Hit Damage, which are ideal stats for Azir.
Shadowflame is good when you are the one engaging on the enemy team. When they are a bit poked down your Emperor's Divide will deal massive damage to your enemies.
Zhonya's Hourglass is a must have against assassins like Evelynn or Zed. It also gives you additional armor, which makes it even better against AD assassins.
Void Staff is a good item against tanks, but build this if you don't have any anti tanks in your team. If you have for example a Vayne in your team this item isn't needed.
Rabadon's Deathcap is needed in every game on Azir, but don't rush it. You can build it for a 4th or last item.
Banshee's Veil is good when the enemy team has a lot of AP and CC, for example Amumu.
Lich Bane doesn't really work with Azir, i haven't ever seen anyone building it, because of Azir not really using abilities that much, only autoattacking with your Arise!.

✦ Whenever a turret outside the enemy team's base is destroyed, a marker is placed above its ruins which can be targeted by Azir. ✦ Azir can select a marker to construct the Sun Disc above the ruins after a 0.5-second cast time. The Sun Disc will activate after being assembled over 5 seconds. ✦ The Sun Disc functions the same as a standard inner turret but deals magic damage, gains 40% AP Attack damage bonus attack damage, and grants its kill credit to Azir. The Sun Disc's Health health decays over 45 seconds and loses 100 armor and 100 magic resistance while Azir is not alive or is too far away.

Conquering Sands
✦ Azir orders all Sand Soldiers to dash toward the target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies they pass through and slowing them by 25% for 1 second. They also hit enemies in front of them when they come to a halt. ✦ Enemies hit by subsequent soldiers take no additional damage and are instead slowed by an additional 25% per soldier.

Arise!
✦ Azir summons a Sand Soldier at the target location that is untargetable, lasts 10 seconds, and grantssight of its surroundings. The Sand Soldier expires twice as fast while within range of an enemy turret, and does so instantly if Azir is too far away. ✦ Azir periodically stocks a Sand Soldier, up to a maximum of 2. ✦ When Azir declares a basic attack against an enemy in a soldier's attack range, the Sand Soldier attacks in his stead, thrusting their spear in the target's direction to deal magic damage to enemies struck in a line. Targets hit beyond the closest take 25 / 50 / 75 / 100% (based on level) damage. Subsequent Sand Soldiers against the same target deal 25% damage.

Shifting Sands
✦ Azir grants himself a shield for 1.5 seconds and dashes to the target Sand Soldier, dealing magic damage to enemies within his path. ✦ If Azir dashes into an enemy champion, he stops and gains a charge of Arise!.
R
Emperor's Divide
✦ Azir calls forth a phalanx of soldiers from 175 units behind him, catching enemies from up to 325 units behind him and charging forward 575 units in the target direction. ✦ Enemies impacted by the charge are dealt magic damage and knocked away over 1 second to a line 650 units in front of Azir. ✦ Upon finishing their charge, the soldiers stand as a wall for 5 seconds, acting as impassible terrain against enemies and granting sight of their surroundings. Azir and his allies can move through these soldiers.
Combos
The most basic combo on Azir is Arise! + Shifting Sands + Conquering Sands. It allows Azir to move quickly and to resposition away from the danger.
When you are near you soldier while using Shifting Sands press Q in the drection you want to go. You will dash there with your soldier.
In early game you should focus on farming and slowly poking your opponents. Azir has a weak early game so your main goal should be not feeding. When you put a point in Emperor's Divide you can seek help from your jungler and try to prepare a gank. In case your enemy ganks you should W + E + Q away from the danger.
In mid game you will have an item and boots. You are able to deal some damage in this part of a game. You should look for opportunities for getting gold for example roaming to bot if you can. In teamfights you should try to quickly eliminate the enemy ADC.
In late game you will be able to deal insane damage with your soldiers. You main goal here is not to die early in teamfights and deal the most damage to the enemy. If there is an opportunity try to shuffle your enemy, but remember. Azir is not about flashy plays, but you are the backbone of your team comp, if you go in and miss, your team will have a harder time fighting.
