Draven
If you get a Draven in your match do not pick Lucian. With your 500 unit range you cannot fight him, all will almost definitely lose against him.
Braum
His passive makes you very dangerous in lane and even in the late game. With his ult he can create really easy fights.

Champion Build Guide
After a 0.4-0.25 second delay (based on level), Lucian fires a laser in the direction of the target enemy, dealing 85 / 120 / 155 / 190 / 225 (+0.6 / 0.75 / 0.9 / 1.05 / 1.2 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to all enemies in a line.
Lucian fires a shot that explodes upon hitting an enemy or reaching the end of its path, damaging enemies in a cross pattern for 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+90% AP) magic damage and marking enemies hit for 6 seconds.
If Lucian or any of his allies damage a marked target with their basic attacks or abilities, Lucian gains 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 flat movement speed bonus for 1 second. This does not consume the mark.
Lucian dashes a short distance. Relentless Pursuit's cooldown is reduced by 1 second per Lightslinger (passive) hit, doubles against enemy champions (2 second reduction per hit, 4 seconds total for a full passive proc).
Lucian starts firing 20 / 25 / 30 shots in the target direction for 3 seconds, each shot damaging the first enemy it hits for 20 / 35 / 50 (+0.25 per attack damage) (+10% of ability power). The Culling is considered a channeled ability and it can be interrupted, but Lucian can move freely (including movement abilities) without interrupting it himself.
Precision is the best keystone tree for Lucian because of Press the Attack. Your passive compliments PTA so well, so it is the best choice over all. You could try a cheesy Kleptomancy build on top lane to bully bruisers and tanks. Press the Attack gives you bonus damage after you proc it, so it is really good for extended trades, whom Lucian succeeds at. |
Triumph is the best rune to chose from this tree. It gives you sustain and lets you stay in lane for longer after getting a kill. It is great for teamfights as well. |
In this tree, every choice is great in my opinion. Legend: Alacrity is the best one over all. When against a heavy CC comp, you should pick Legend: Tenacity and against poke comps you should pick Legend: Bloodlinefor the increased sustain. |
Usually these choices are based on the enemy team composition. If they have a lot of poke, pick the first Attack Speed Rune then two Defensive runes, either MR or Armor. But usually you would want to run Attack speed , Adaptive Damage and Armor/MR. |
This is Lucian's most damaging combo, and I will explain how to do it. Firstly you need your passive up, you can do that by using the W on the target, but for simplicity's sake I used it randomly. This combo allows you to chain double shots from your passive with your other abilities while dishing a lot of damage.
This flashy mechanic is one that you won't use that often. What is essentially does is allow you to kill a target , and flash at the same time , essentially letting you pick one of the enemies and get some distance from the others, making your escape/kiting easier. You can also flash sideways to avoid skill shots that might kill you
This is pretty much the same combo as the first one, while incorporating your ultimate. I don't recommend using this combo , because even though you have more damage, you cannot move that much during it, and most importantly you cannot reset your E while using your Ultimate.
