This is the start of S12, so all this is gonna change soon. Items like: Crown of the Shattered Queen, the recently buffed Force of Nature, and the newly buffed Maw of Malmortius is going to make AP malphite obviously weaker. As such, this guide is subject to change.
Why Malphite Jungle
AP Malphite is a hyperscaling, 1v9 carrying champion, that is easy to pick up and play. He's great at making picks, and he has amazing teamfight potential.
He has a pretty decent clear as well due to his W and E, especially with the recent W buffs. In fact, he might even be able to clear raptors faster than Kayn.
Additionally, Malphite has great 1v1 potential so you can contest most scuttles pretty easily.

Cons of Playing him
The biggest problem with Malphite jungle is something that isn't even his fault. I believe it's because Malphite jungle's a little bit of a offmeta pick. Because of this, people will automatically assume you are trolling this game and are not taking the game as seriously as them. As a result, they will most likely lock in their 30% winrate Sion. Additionally, they will be very tilted the entire game, and will blame their mistakes all on the malphite, which can lead to frustrating.
Another problem with Malphite is that he has trouble soloing objectives early. As a result, you really need to have high team coordination.

The very goal when playing Malphite jungle is to snowball as much as possible.
Step 1: Get to level 6 as fast as possible.
Step 2: Farm and gank when ultimate is up. (Note: try to set up tower dives)
Step 3: Teamfight and try to get picks
Step 4: Profit?
