Pyke is a champ that has playstyles that differ with each player, so it is important to find your own. You will notice that almost every high elo pyke has differences in their playstyle, and I will be giving tips based off of my own.

-If you fall behind on pyke, it is imperative that you buy some armor/magic resistance as you will be underlevel, and pyke cannot get HP which is what you usually buy when behind.

They are going to dodge with a little sidestep, don't use natural instinct to hook, think to yourself that they WILL step in the opposite direction. It feels wrong but it will work and you will get used to it. If they are running you down eg Ashe, Kog, Zeri, they will do a quick dodge backwards away from you if you try to hook.

E directly on top of them, don't aim it like a normal projectile since they will never walk into it. Use W to help hit it.
R:
Use the flash cover thing, R is actually easiest to dodge if you place it directly on top of them as flash or dash in any direction will dodge.

Q E Cancel: I'm putting this at the top because its by far the most unknown/elusive mechanic.
Basic in lane combo on flashless enemy: This is a basic E flash combo to setup a kill. It will work in lower elo on enemies with flash but once you get to platinum, it is very predictable and they will preemptively flash. You can do this without flashing to bait it out.
E towards them, flash behind them last second so your E lands. Then, hold Q while walking around them and flip them towards your team.
E + R: this is usually when you already secured a reset, but the last target is getting away and you cannot catch them with just


E towards them, and ult in front of them so that you land in front, and your E will follow up. Then, apply the Q flip fundamental earlier to flip them towards your team.
Q + E: Simplest combo. Guarantees a stun on targets without movement abilities or flash. Just Q (Does not matter if short or held) and instantly E onto them. not hard.
Q + Flash: Another fundamental. This can be done with both the short and held Q. With the held Q, it is quite simple as you just

When Dragon spawns, these are the ward you will want to place. Note that you should always have a ward in the middle of mid lane outside of the enemies tower, so you can see where they rotate to. (Red if you are blue side, Blue if you are red side, Pink is control wards.
