Cleavers, personal sunfire cape, DAMAGE, regen like no other, super speed, and last but definitely not least, purple dude. Mundo is great. Half health adc sitting under tower, dive, low health fizz, dive, literally any champion that isnt fed, dive. Mundo is just awesome. He has a good laning phase and just destroys anything if hes fed. My tip for mundo, just. get. health. His e does so much damage when you get to your full build of all health items. Mundo is the only champion who can dive a tower, get a kill then leave with more health then when he went in. This is just a guide on how i build and play mundo and hopefully it helps.

Start dorans shield to get good health and regen at the start of the game. I put sunfire cape, spirit visage and warmogs as core items for the health. Mundo doesn't need ap or ad, just health. This makes your e do more damage, you regen more health, and your ult also regens more. You also become unkillable because you have 4000+ health. The other items are just there depending on the need for MR, armor, or a little more damage.

Mundo is a great laner because he doesnt rely on mana and regens pretty fast. Use your q to poke champs and get cs. Ranged champs can be good against mundo early game but when you hit level six they usually lose. One thing i will do is let them hurt me a little bit, pretend to retreat into a bush, then if they follow, ult and chase them down with all your abilities. A couple things can happen during the laning phase. 1. Your opponent underestimates you when you have low health and dies 2. They play safe because they no mundo is no joke so you get easy farm 3. They play really well or counter you and you lose. Laning phase is your time to get fed and snowball. If you can do this than you're set for the rest of the game.

KILL. THEIR. CARRY. When a team fight starts just run past the tanks and supports and kill the adc or mid laner. They will run away or die unless you get focused. If they focus you your team can just kill them all. If they dont focus you then they're as good as dead. Just focus whoever is carrying and let your team clean up.
