Hello! My name is Ilya otherwise in-game as MrGrom222 and welcome to my Kha'Zix guide! In this guide I shall be teaching you guys how to play my personal favorite Jungler Kha'Zix. I've played Kha'Zix since I started play in League of Legends. He was one of the first champion I bought. I'm sorry for my grammar mistakes ( English isn't my main language) Hope you will enjoy!

2015 year was really boring for me as LoL player and I didn't play a lot in season 5 subsequently I moved to Gold 5 from Platinum 5 and only in Preseason 6 I started playing again, and here some results of that. Yes, I'm not the best or especial player and won't call myself the worst player. I'm typical player which tryed his best and got some results. If I done that, you can do the same. GO ON and CARRY ON!!!

You should know: Kha'Zix is Aggressive Ganger Style Jungle Champion, if you like to passive farm more... so Kha'Zix not your champion... Still wanna play him? If yes, lets go. Kha'Zix is classic AD Assassin, he excels in having a high burst and taking 1 by 1 enemies and don´t getting caught for that by his Evolved Leap. Nerfs doesn´t made him weak, he still strong and can carry games. Basically, he is trump in the sleeve of his team, and surprise for the enemy team, who is waiting in the wings. Since he is Assassin, he is used to stay behind his teammates and wait moment to go in for low HP enemies. Also Kha'Zix useles without his items, spells and mana, so you need to buy AD with Cooldown Reduction first and controll mana, just to be useful. "Kill. Consume. Adapt." - Kha'Zix

Kha'Zix The Voidreaver Pros + Fast Jungle clear speed. + High Mobility. +Good Ganker. + Very low Cooldowns and resets on the Evolved Leap. +Good carry potential in SoloQ. Cons - Squishy. - Very Mana hungry early game - Hes also squishy untill he get some defensive stats - QSS

Kha'Zix is classic AD Assassin, aswell like Zed. When Kha'Zix born, all ADC trembling with fear. If you get to 6 items you will be a terror unless the enemy has 6 armor items. Despite this first jungle clear does not mean he is bad in S6. He still can snowball and carry games. In addition he has one of the best escape mechanisms in the game on his Evolved Leap.

To offset this his early game really is awful (before 6 lvl) compared to other Junglers like Pantheon or Lee Sin. Without items you will find yourself useless, because your based damage nerfed and you can't oneshot enemy ADC. In addition his Leap can be cancelled by a lot of abilities including Devastating Charge, Flay and Vault Breaker. Basically any displacement ability.

C O N S

Do not underestimate this skill's damage, often you'll want to auto attack between Qs after unstealthing from R as it does significant damage and slows them. It is important to abuse this passive as it can make or break a gank/kill because of it's guaranteed slow/damage unlike W which could be dodged by a flash (or you miss it). Going out of vision for this passive to come back can happen during chases so remember to pay attention to the status bar (it'll tell you when you have it back). Bonus Magic Damage: 15 / 20 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 / 150 / 160 / 170 / 180 / 190

This is the majority of Kha'zix's damage, it is most efficient to cast this between autoattacks and it's nearly instant and you don't want to break your auto attack animation by casting it during your auto attack. When you evolve it, it'll have longer range so you can use it before they get away. Isolating targets is very important for this spell as the damage goes up by quite a bit. Sometimes its better to hold your Q for a split second if you see the enemy running away from allied units during a chase to get the isolation damage off. Cost: 20 Mana Cooldwon: 3 Physical Damage: 70/95/120/145/170 (+ 120% bonus AD) Phusical Damage to Isolated Target: 91 / 123.5 / 156 / 188.5 / 221 (+ 156% bonus AD)

This spell is an awesome sustaining tool in the jungle early on, especially at the wraith camp. The slow is really good for ganks if you are able to land it. Try not to miss like I do all the time. Unless you evolve it in which case there is essentially no way to miss. All its sustain and slowing potential aside, this RANGED spell is the only one Kha has. On top of that, it does really good damage when you hit it. Cost: 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 Mana Cooldwon: 9 Physical Damage: 75 / 115 / 155 / 195 / 235 (+ 100% bonus AD) Physical Damage VS Mosters: 90 / 138 / 186 / 234 / 282 (+ 120% bonus AD) Heal: 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+ 50% AP)

Leap pre evolution is merely a small gap closer (which is still useful to get over walls) that doesn't really do much damage aside from allow you to stick to a target if they start fleeing. Evolved leap greatly increases the distance and allows for resets upon killing a target. Proper usage of this spell after it's evolution is key as you can chain several kills in a row by instantly leaping away after each assist/kill. It also can save your life after you dive in too far and get a kill as you can leap very far away to get away. Cost: 50 Mana Cooldwon: 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 Physical Damage: 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+ 20% bonus AD)

This spell, gives insane mobility allowing you completely get away as the enemy is forced to guess which way you'll head as it's rather difficult to guess where a 40%+ movespeed invisible target is going and often they won't be able to keep up even if they guessed correctly. This spell also gives you your passive chargeback which will allow you to deal more damage. Cost:100 Mana Cooldwon: 100 / 90 / 80

This is the most obscure topic of Kha'Zix players. Kha'Zix is very flexible in the game situation. First evolutions are depends on your playstyle, situation and what your team needs.

Evolve Order:
Taste Their Fear > Leap > Void Assault / Void Spike

This my Evolve preferences. Why? Because it's allow you to do extremely high damage to isolated targets on 6 lvl ( for inf, junglers always isolated targets in the jungle, so you have potential to counter jungle. Nobody can win duel against you on 6 lvl if you Evolved Q first and have Stalker's Blade - Warrior). After you have to evolve E, that allow you to easy escape from enemy team after scoring kill/assist and very useful in the Mid game when team fights starts. And after evolve W for disengage, poke and kite potential against enemy carries OR R for survivability in team fights (depends on situation). This type of playstyle is Aggression. That allow you to duel high damage to everyone in early game and put the pressure on map by your damage. You can gank every lane, but in preference solo lanes (top/mid) and counter jungle, because you got increased damage to isolated targets. Also you can solo Dragon on 6 lvl (if you want to do that, buy Vision Ward just to make sure Dragon isn't warded).

Evolve Order:
Void Spike > Leap > Taste Their Fear
I Evolve W first only in the situation (but I never evolving that :S) when you (and your team) needs in some disengage(usually we have for that support, so I almost don't use that way to evolve), poke and waveclear in the Mid game. After Evolve E, that allow you to easy escape from enemy team after scoring kill/assist and very useful in the Mid game when team fights starts. And as a third i evolve Q to deal extremely high damage to isolated targets. This type of playstyle is Passive. You should poke with your W, wait for low HP enemies to jump and finish them and after run away with your R. Also if you use your Stalker's Blade first, it's will be very easy to land your W on the enemy.

Evolve Order:
Leap > Taste Their Fear > Void Spike / Void Assault
Evolve E first increase your potential in early teamfights, dive and chase opponents. Enemy team would be very surprised to see, how Kha'Zix dive low HP enemies and jump away (thanks to resets). Why max Q instead of W? Because, when you chase/tower dive your enemies, you need to deal max damage to targets in 1 sec while you jumping by your E+Q combo (Jump on the enemy by E and in the middle jump activate your Q). After i evolve Q to extremely high damage to isolated targets. And after evolve W for disengage, poke and kite potential against enemy carries OR R for survivability in team fights (depends on situation). This type of playstyle is Teamplay. You can gank, tower dive and take part in early teamfights and dont be scared of death cuz you can jump away in any time. Only 1 minus here, not so high damage and you should rely on your teammates (I don't prefer to Evolve E first if i am playing on Low ELO because your team sometimes don't understand what to do, so this way is more for High ELO. It's my personal opinion about that playstyle, if you feels it would be OK, go this way.).

12/18/0 masteries is the most optimal or Kha'Zix in this patch. Thunderlord's Decree extremly powerfull mastery on Kha'Zix, because giving good assasination potential. Stormraider's Surge quite strong on Kha'Zix, because giving passability assasinate target and run aways in safety with huge MS boost. Stormraider's Surge is situational and you need to take that in sitation when opponents have a lot of CC and protection on carry, so you may need to take Thunderlord's Decree .

Standart Runes:This is standard runes, which very suitable for Kha'Zix.


Advanced Runes:That's my preferred runes and I prefer to take 4x greater mark of armor penetration. Why? Because it's going to be usefull of ganking tanky champions. Also 4x greater mark of armor penetration giving very good scaling in late game. And 6x Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction, becuase 10% CDR is really strong on game start and way better then 9MR.

Q U I N T S

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage. Probably the best and irreplaceable Quinessence for Kha'Zix. This quintessences are giving you a lot of early AD, whats very important pre 6 lvl when you didn't bought your first AD item.

greater mark of armor penetration

Greater Mark of Attack Damage. This gives you plenty of AD early game which increase our early DMG on the ganks, duel, jungle clear. Greater Mark of Critical Chance. Lets be honest, 1 extra AD doesn't compare to the cheese of getting a lucky crit on the ganks, duel, teamfights. greater mark of armor penetration. Thats giving you Armor Penetration which is helping you on first jungle clear and on the ganks. Also greater mark of armor penetration have good late game scaling.

Greater Seal of Armor. Flat Armor is what I like to run because it reduces the damage of jungle monsters and enemy champion's auto attack well. And that's irreplaceable seal for Kha'Zix.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist. Flat MR is a nice choice, since Kha'Zix don't have MR scaling and early game based champion, so that can help you take less damage for Mages. Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction Perfect choice for early game. 10% CDR will help in first jungle clears and early duels.

Second Spell

Flash If you have neither your ult nor your Leap it will save your life. Or might cost your enemy's double buff.

Teleport Take this spell if you play with your premade and make some plays, or you just grasshopper under Red Bull :D

Mercury's Treads: Take them if enemy team have a lot of CC. Ninja Tabi: Take them if enemy team have a lot of AA based champions or ADC fed. Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Take them if you need some CDR. Boots of Swiftness: Take that when you need in bonus MS or enemy got strong slow. Stormraider's Surge slow resistance stack with Boots of Swiftness, so you can have 100% slow resistance for 3 seconds.

Stalker's Blade is perfect on Kha'Zix for ganking and teamfights, because you have bonus CC ( 20% Move Speed steal for 2 seconds) and some true damage on Smite. I taking this item in every game as core item, also, I advise you to do so too. Enchant in Stalker's Blade - Warrior only.

Tiamat: It is core item, because of active which is giving you huge burst for low cost. Ravenous Hydra: You can upgrade Tiamat into Ravenous Hydra, only in situation when you have a lot of gold to WASTE. Never upgrade that earlier because stats of Ravenous Hydra is just uselles for you.

It's core item in my oppinion on Kha'Zix, because of high emount of AD, CDR, Flat Armor Penetration which really usefull in early and Active which is giving crazy mobility in combo with ult and also increasing your chase/escape potential. Build this item after Tiamat.

It is perfect item on Kha'Zix and I buying this item after Youmuu's Ghostblade, because its giving you %Armor reduction which is more usefull in mid/late game. You can get 3 procs of armor reduction with your E, which is also AoE. Building it early game seems a bit bad because it is not so usefull as Youmuu's Ghostblade in early.

I'm building Duskblade of Draktharr in situation when I need to 100% oneshot enemy carry. Dont build this item whene enemy team have high health regenration, Mikael's Blessing, Quicksilver Sash and Cleanse.

Last Whisper: Build this item when enemy tanks stacking armor. Lord Dominik's Regards: Build this against team with tones of health. Mortal Reminder: Build this against sustained team.

Hexdrinker: It's situational offensive item. Buy that if enemy team have heavy AP champion (like Syndra, Orianna, Ekko) after Tiamat. Maw of Malmortius: You can upgrade Hexdrinker into Maw of Malmortius after Youmuu's Ghostblade.

Probably the best added item in Season 6, but it still situational in my oppinion. I like to build this item when I need to fight with sustained champions ( Dr. Mundo, Olaf, Warwick and etc.). Build this item after Youmuu's Ghostblade.

Very expensive item for jungler. I like to build this item when facing heavy CC team and Zed's Death Mark, Twisted Fate's Golden Pick A Card, Warwick's Infinite Duress and etc...

Mix of health and armor as well as an attack speed reduction aura. Randuin's Omen's active can be used to chase or initiate team fights. I often build this when enemy ADC Fed.

Take this item only if you have huge lead, in other way you are going to feel yourself waek. Take this item as 3 or 4 slot.

I like to build this when I'm facing an AP heavy team or poke team composition or my Guardian Angel on CD as 6 slot.

An amazing item, you get a free revive! You also get some armor and magic resist. If you're the most wanted target for enemy team, it's good item. "The Cycle of Life and Death Continues. We will live, they will die." - Nasus.

Basic tips of Jungling.

I am Jungle main player, and i can tell you, jungle is the most hard role in the game ( maybe you gona say: "you are just scrub and don't know hot to play other roles..." No, i know how to play on all roles), because you need to not only understand and know the game, you need understand your teammates. This is a good guide on the psychological aspects of the jungle by Tabopu. I found it interesting and cognitive. Hope that will help you.

I prefer to start from the camp which i'll get the help from the Bot Lane, for more better pull. If you have in team Alistar, Leona or Thresh you can ask them to tank 1-2 shots form Krug/Gromp.

For the fast jungle clear use AA → Q → AA → W → AA.

Whats better, kill Small or Big monster first? You will learn that from this video.

Red side:
Gromp Smite → Blue buff → Red buff Smite → Gank Top/Mid

Blue side:
Krugs Smite → Red buff → Blue buff Smite → Gank Top/Mid

Full Jungle Clear:

Red side:
Gromp Smite → Blue buff → Wolves → Red buff Smite → Krugs after Raptors/Gank Top/Mid

Blue side:
Krugs Smite → Raptors → Red buff Smite → Blue buff → Gromp → Wolves/Gank Top/Mid


Early Gank:

Red side:
Gromp Smite → Blue buff → Wolves → Gank Bot/Mid → Red buff Smite

Blue side:
Krugs Smite → Red buff → Gank Bot/Mid → Blue buff Smite


Season 6 High Elo:

Red side:
Gromp Smite → Blue baff → Wolves → recall → Raptors → Red Buff Smite → Krugs/Gank Top/Mid

Blue side:
Krugs Smite → Raptors → Red buff Smite → recall → Wolves → Blue buff Smite → Gromp/Gank Top/Mid

About Season 6 High Elo route: In this route you are going to recall and take Hunter's Machete, High Elo players using this route, because this way will give you more sustain in jungle and you can stay longer in jungle and be ready for ganks longer before your next recall.

Why smite Gromp/Krugs ?
Because every jungle camp giving now personal buff (every is unique), and Gromp's/Krug's buff are more useful in early game then hp/mana back from blue/red buff.

Ganking:

On ganks don't use your Leap first. Try to smite enemy with your Chilling Smite after apply Unseen Threat use Taste Their Fear if target isolated or Void Spike if target not isolated, spam AA and wait for isolated target to deal bonus damage from your Taste Their Fear. If enemy Flash away from you use your Leap and finish him off.

You should KS IN EARLY. Yes KS, i mean Kill Steal. Just because you are Kha'Zix and YOU NEED IN KILLS in early. You don't care, will your team like that or not, Just Do It. No kills = No gold = Bad Kha'Zix. Only after you will be fed, you can let your team some kills.

Timing:

I still don't understand why pople playing so lazy and don't timing cooldwns of summoner spelles. If you doing that you can gank this lane as jungler as more as you want and taking free kills. Here some information about cooldowns of summoner spells:

Warding:

Yes, you should ward and control all the map. WIth good postion of wards you can prevent 2/3 enemy ganks. After your first or second recall you should buy Vision Ward , and place him on top river middle bush. Don't be greedy on wards, if you playing good and still in Bronze/Silver and don't buying wards... Dude, just waste a bit gold for your Little friend Stealth Ward, and you will win the game.

Dealing with Teammates and SoloQ Tips:

"Noob jungler, no gank. I lost lane because jungler never came. I'm just gona AFK and report all of you. Peace nerds."
How many times have I read that and be like: "Not again" T.T
Laners listen up, I have to tell you something, laner/jungler to you. YOU-DO-NOTHING.
Junglers do almost as much work as laners combined.
What Jungler does:
- Secure and time buffs, Drake and Baron.
- No passive gold/EXP gain. Yeah, jungler needs to farm too.
- Counterjungling, tracking enemy jungler movement.
- Warding places, that laners don't ward, denying enemy vision.
- Ganking, counterganking.
What Laner does:
- Farm.
- Try to kill the enemy laner.
- Roam.
- Ward.
So please respect junglers. They need you, you need them.
And something else, if a jungler says no to a gank, because he won't give double buffs
and kills to that fed Riven who just killed you for the fifth time, you should not blame them.
But to roast the junglers too: If you don't do anything whatsoever just farm,
then you are not a jungler. You are just a laner in the jungle with less gold/EXP than anyone else.
