Volibear
Voli can cancel you with his Q and facetank your damage. He's a huge pain at just about any stage of the game for fiddlesticks. Just try to ignore him and focus on killing other champions. Probably should build a Liandry's in this match up.

The two most popular rune choices that you're going to see on
Fiddlesticks are
Electrocute and
Dark Harvest. Having played with both runes extensively, I personally prefer and recommend electrocute, especially if you're playing in higher elo. The consistency and early game damage of
Electrocute is preferable to the possible late game scaling of
Dark Harvest.
If you're playing in Gold or below, you might prefer to take
Dark Harvest due to the more chaotic gameplay and better chance of the game going late.

This is a great rune for ![]() ![]() |
At this time I still run cosmic insight because the decreased CD's on smite/flash are very useful. ![]() |
Hextech Rocketbelt Protobelt was always a decent item on ![]() |
Night Harvester This is probably the Mythic that I build most often these days on ![]() ![]() |
Everfrost This is one of those situations where an item sounds good in theory, but ultimately I think you'd be crazy to not opt for one of the first two mythics I listed. If you DO go with the Everfrost route however, you can chain your fears with this item to lock up your unfortunate targets for over 4 seconds of continuous cc. |
Sorcerer's Shoes You will build these boots in every game on ![]() |
Demonic Embrace This has potential to be very strong on ![]() ![]() |
Zhonya's Hourglass The classic 2nd item on Fiddle (into full AD teams I will go as far as to build this item before my Mthic). You're going to be building this just about every game. You can't use your W ![]() |
Rylai's Crystal Scepter You don't see this item being built too often on ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Rabadon's Deathcap You scale incredibly well with AP (especially your ult), and so this item is always a powerful pick up as a fourth item after ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Void Staff If the enemy team is heavy stacking MR than ![]() |
Banshee's Veil If you are against at least 2 AP targets, building this 2nd is too bad of an option. You still get some damage, but you also become pretty tanky. The CDR is nice as well, and the shield can help you get off some R casts that you otherwise wouldn't have. |
Spirit Visage This is a pretty cool tech that I've seen Fiddle players build sometimes, but haven't tried it out myself yet. This gives your CDR and makes pretty much unkillable to AP users. It's like a weird Tank ![]() |
Mejai's Soulstealer![]() ![]() |
Morellonomicon It seems like there might be a lot of healing this season, so there is a good chance that this will be a necessary pick up. Every class seems to have access to anti-heal now, so maybe communicate with your team and get someone else to buy it. A slightly cheaper and still viable upgraded anti-heal option for ![]() ![]() |
Cosmic Drive This is one of my favorite new items to come out this season. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Your Q

Once you have at least one point in Q, you can fear enemies by dealing damage to them when they have no vision of you. This means that if you are standing in a bush that isn't warded, and you hit them with an E

Okay, now that we have established all of that, here is the "standard" [[Fiddlesticks] combo.
Use your R

This is the STANDARD max damage combo. Now there are situations where you will want to combo a little bit differently.
In order to CC chain for as long as possible, after you have a few points in Q

Often times, it is also better NOT to cast your W

Vision is EVERYTHING - Controlling vision is everything when it comes to successfully playing

No Items Needed - Fiddle might be one of the only junglers where it isn't entirely trolling to not base until he has a 2-3k buy. Due to all of the %hp damage in your kit,

You are immobile - I couldn't think of a catching tagline for this tip, but it is extremely important nonetheless. Your only escape tool is your Ultimate. Though it might not feel like it at times, remember this and play accordingly. If you get caught out, you are in trouble.
Scarecrows are combustible - Beware starting dragon in front of everyone. You are much less of a threat if you are tanking dragon and the enemy team knows exactly where you are. Sometimes its better to stand back, let your team do the dragon, and try to position yourself for a better ultimate. They will need you around to smite the objective though!
Ult early and often - This one is simple. Your ultimate has a really low CD, especially after level 11. Use it often and don't be afraid to go for a hail mary here and there. Just maybe not RIGHT before an objective like Dragon or Baron spawns.
Screw it - Okay these names are getting less creative, but sometimes it's completely okay to just ult on targets in full vision. If I awkwardly run into someone, there's a good chance you'll see me Q

Control vision with [[control ward]s and try to get your team to bait them into you. Then you Ult in and fear/silence combo the highest priority target on the team that you can reach.
That's pretty much it. Save your

Don't be afraid to Ult just one person, a lot of times thats all you need to sway a teamfight or convince the enemy team to back off of an objective.
