General Matchup Advice
This section aims to teach the reader about the general archetypes of champions, they will face toplane and as a result of that gain an intuitive understanding of how to categorise champions into groups, in which you can use the same sort of trading patterns and strategies to win lane against them.
By the end of this section, I hope the reader will find the matchup spreadsheet down below redundant. As this section will be doing most; if not all the heavy lifting of generalising matchups. Whereas the spreadsheet will simply be putting it into practice and have certain details added for specific matchups.

In general, you will find that matchups in toplane, can be split into three different groups depending on the kit of course. Group 1 are champions with gap closers, group 2 are categorized by the enemy champion having an instant CC ability in their kit and group 3 are champions with poke.
There are of course champions that belong to multiple groups, but the groups are actually more of sets confined in eachother (also known as subsets of eachother), but that is something we will discuss later on in this section.

G_1 are champions that will run you down by perma gap closing on you if you jump too far away from the bush. Like Irelia, Fiora, Kled, Olaf, Riven, Tryndamere or Jax.
The best analogy I can come up with for this group, is that you want to play Rengar like you were playing Camille into these champs.
What I want you to understand is that if you were Camille into champs of this group and you used your Hookshot into full health Irelia as an example, then you would be very dead. This is obviously because you wasted your only escape, into a champ that does more DPS than Camille/ Rengar, when you should have short-traded and kited the Irelia.

In the same fashion, you might be tempted to use your leap as Rengar, to jump very far away from the bush which will result in you having to double Battle Roar to recover your health from the trade, but becuase you leaped too far away from the bush, the enemy champion can easily extend the trade, which will lose you the trade and post-6 you will probably die (in game).
The weakness of these champions is that they are all fully melee, so they have to stand close to the wave to last hit the minions, meaning they will end up stading close to your bush.Furthermore champions like Irelia and Tryndamere will be forced to push the wave if they wish to contest you, due to their stacking mechanic. This will in turn result in an excellent wave state, where the wave will be either close to your tower or in the middle of the lane.
Of course what you don't want to happen, is that these champions ever freeze against you, but if you get lane prio level 1 (which you should) then there will be no such problem, because you will either be able to get a cheater recall and freeze on them or be able to short trade them pre-6 and create an advantage to snowball that way.

In terms of how precisely to beat them, it is very much so about them coming to you rather than you looking for a fight on their terms. So winning lane against them is done by jumping on them with Savagery. Then you simply run back to your bush after you Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar, and they will either have to let you win the trade or jump onto you, in which you then have to kite them by jumping onto enemy minions until your CDs are up again, and then you can trade them again. And win lane by the war of attrition, with small trades rather than all-ins.
____________________________________________________________________________________

G_2 are champions with no wind-up CC abilities, this could for example be champions like Cho'Gath, Urgot, Sett, Pantheon, Shen, Volibear or Teemo. These champions can win trades against you if you don't cleanse their CC. This is different from champions with the abilities: Searing Charge, Primal Howl, An Acquired Taste, and Stretching Strikes, since these abilities needs set-up or takes long enough for the Rengar player to cycle through his abilities without having to have his Empowered Battle Roar up for when he jumps to the enemy champion.
Now this group is counted by either:
1) Savagery the minion wave twice and then leap onto the enemy with Savagery, then Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse their CC, Battle Roar and Bola Strike as you run away, back into your bush.
2) Savagery the minion wave once and then leaping onto the enemy with Savagery and Bola Strike, then Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse their CC, Battle Roar again as you run away back into your bush.
(the difference is just when you choose use Bola Strike)
Then from there on you now have an interval of time, where the enemy toplaner does not have their CC ability, allowing you to trade with them. Or the enemy toplaner will just give up CS and let you zone them until their CC ability is up again, in which you just rinse and repeat until you have killed them.

Remark: If you ever screw up and find yourself with 4 stacks and think to yourself "I will just jump anyway and hope they CC me", that is a bad idea, a good player will simply look at how dumb you are and use their damage ability on you since you can't use Savagery, or else you have to use your Empowered Battle Roar and then you won't have cleanse for their instant CC ability. If you ever have 4 stacks the right move is either to try and hit an Empowered Bola Strike or space them with an Empowered Battle Roar for poke (or use Empowered Savagery on a cannaon minion like a chad), and work your way to 3 Ferocity stacks again.

____________________________________________________________________________________

G_3 will be Rengar's easiest matchups because their goal is to poke you out of lane meanwhile you can force all-ins and sustain with Battle Roar. these champions are Gangplank, Vayne, Yone, Gnar and almost all Tank matchups.
As said these matchups are not as obscure as the other two groups, but they are by no means easy, in the sense that you can easily take too much poke if you don't punish them or missposition. So you have to be on your toes to look for advantages and kill opportunities to put them behind.
How you beat these matchups are usually not through any specific trade patterns or kiting them, but it is more about your ability to manipulate and freeze waves, as well as punishing overstay and miss positioning. With that said there are ways to push your advantage and increase your chance of cheesing a kill.
These include having 4 stacks with no CD to jump on your opponent with:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar
Or if they are low enough Empowered Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Ignite.

A last remark I will make about G_3, is that it is more important to drag the wave close to the bush than it is for any other of the groups. Because it will significantly lessen the amount of poke you take from the minions and the matchup itself, as well as make it very hard for the enemy to CS.
(Also buy oracle's lense)
____________________________________________________________________________________

If we quickly want to discuss champions that you will find in multiple groups, then the short story is that the groups are just subgroups where G_1 > G_2 > G_3, so if a champion is in G_1 and G_2 then you will treat them like they are a G_1 champion. The same way, that if they are a G_2 and G_3 champion then you treat them like a G_2 champion and so on.
An example of this is Jax of course, he has both his Counter Strike and Leap Strike, which allows him to negate Rengar's Savagery, only for Jaxto jump on to Rengar once Rengar has used his double Battle Roar and dps Rengar down, this is especially true post-6.
____________________________________________________________________________________

level 1 1v1 and Warding with Rengar:
If you do not win the 1v1 without a wave there are two ways to circumvent getting zoned off the wave.
1) stand in the alcove and wait for the wave to arrive. RECOMMENDED METHOD!

2)
I write this here because I don't want to write a whole paragraph about it for every matchup and it is quite binary in the sense that Rengar either outright beats a champion without needing a minion wave or he needs the minion wave to kite and stack ferocity stacks to win the level 1 or get lane prio.

The general consensus about Rengar, is that he has one of the strongest level 1 in the toplane. But the claim does come with an asterisk, in the sense that Empowered Savagery does a lot of the heavy lifting. If you were to start at 0 stacks and 1v1 a toplane champ you would probably lose to half of the roster.
Now the reason why that is important and subsequently why I named this section "Warding with Rengar" due to the fact that if you are up against a good player, then they will know that their champion can beat Rengar level 1 and will therefore try to zone Rengar off the bushes level 1.

So how do we ensure we can contest the wave level 1, in these situations where we can't just brute force 1v1 level 1 without a wave?
Well luckily minions exist and so do wards, and we can use that to our advantage by standing in the bush closest to our tower and when the enemy toplaner comes to chase us out of our bush we ward it and walk to the tower.
Then we simply wait for the minions to come to the lane, at that point we walk with the first caster minion to the lane (holding hands ofc ^_^). If the enemy toplaner still wants to zone us off the bushes, then they will have to not only trade into us and minion wave, but also not get the chance to drop the minion agro by going into the bush again, so they need to walk a good bit away into the bush we warded before the minions stop aggroing them.
And now the enemy wave should be close enough to our bush that we can jump from our bush past the toplaner without taking much damage.
After all this you can wait for your Savagery to come back up again, then trade into the enemy toplaner again and then jump out to the enemy caster minion to kite the enemy toplaner. And lastly, jump onto them again with Savagery > Empowered Savagery up and win the 1v1.

So in the next secotion: "Matchup List", I will only lightly talk about this for every champion.

Remark: If your opponent does not zone you off the bushes before the minions arrive, then you simply ward the middle bush and either jump to the enemy toplaner if they are standing in it and then jump to the minion wave, or you move to the middle bush if there is no enemy toplaner (maybe he leashed).
____________________________________________________________________________________

One last thing I want to mention is that just because you can jump on an enemy level 1 or any other level, does not mean you should.
Especially on G_3 champions, you want to create value with your trades and not allow them to farm. So jumping at them when they are at maximum leap range is just not optimal because you will find yourself trading even, which I suppose is fine, but it also means you tank minion agro and let the wave push for no reason. Instead, try to think about if there are ways you can trade more efficiently by doing more damage and not tanking as much minion agro.
This could for example be by: only jumping to them when they are going up for CS and closer to the bush, or by auto canceling or by jumping on them when you have Savagery > Empowered Savagery. Food for thought at least and it will only improve snowballing, but this will come with game experience.

Ayaytrox:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra into anything you want, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-You need a minion wave to 1v1 him, there is no reason to 1v1 Aatrox with no minion wave, even if you dodge all 3 of his sweet spots you lose.
-Also try to trade him when his Deathbringer Stance is down.

-Aatrox can in theory zone you off the bushes and then it is on you to dodge his first The Darkin Blade and then just wait for 8s for it to go on CD. And then you can walk into the bush and fight him and if he runs away then you must either jump on him or if he walked into the middle bush then you just jump to the minions and then walk into the middle bush and fight him there.
Now if Aatrox is smart and also dumb, he tries to zone you off the bush and hold his Q, which if you do nothing at that point then he will zone you off the minions. But if he tries to do that then you have to make him use his The Darkin Blade when the minion wave meets and dodges Aatrox's Q1, but he also has to use it because if he does not then you will be in the bush with him, which means you can gap close to him dodging his two first sweet spots and then jumping away from the third one, and the reengage and kill him.
But I have never seen this happen, even though it could be a fun interaction, a good Aatrox player will never do it and a bad Aatrox player will be too scared to try it, but if it ever happens to you then now you know what to do. (sorry for making you read this)

-A normal level 1 will usually be Aatrox giving you lane prio and standing in The Darkin Blade range to CS, you might be tempted to leap to him since he is in range but it is better to let him CS with his The Darkin Blade and then zone him off the wave when it's on CD.
The reason for that is that you would simply take too much damage from minion agro and the possibility of getting hit by one of his The Darkin Blade. It is much better to stack your ferocity and then engage on him with 3 stacks when he has used his Q1 or his The Darkin Blade is on CD, then Savagery onto him and then when he then use the movement speed from Empowered Savagery to dodge his Q3.
You might think it is too specific to gain 3 stacks on you your ferocity and the fact he has to only have used his Q1, but it is a reoccurring theme in the Aatrox matchup that you always wait for him to Q1 before engaging. this is because in this way you don't have to tank his Q1 and your DPS is much higher since you can use your Empowered Savagery earlier.

Level 2:
-Now that you have gained lane prio and we know how to trade into Aatrox level 1 then we only need to cover level 2 and we are done.

-Level 2 is about waiting for him to use his Q1 again, then you Savagery onto him, now if the Aatrox is also level 2 he will have unlocked his Umbral Dash meaning you can't just use your Empowered Savagery for movement speed to dodge his Q3, the way we circumvent this problem is but using Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar to cleanse his Q3 damage and running away winning the trade.

Level 3:
-Level 3 is like level 2, but now we have the option to have two empowered abilities, so another trading pattern is not caring about Aatrox using his Q1, you can't jump on him at any time, with this combo.
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > (get hit by Q3) Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

-If he still has his Q3 up then it is changed a little:
Empowered Savagery > (get hit by Q3) Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar
Of course, if you can kill him then change it to:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Savagery

Post-Level 6:
-Nothing changes, just Thrill of the Hunt when he World Ender and run away.
-Also don't trade aggressively in front of his tower when he has World Ender up, this is mainly because his Infernal Chains will make you run towards his tower and make it very hard to escape his ult.
Basically post level 6, Aatrox will just statcheck you regardless of what you build.

Remark: Aatrox does not use Q1.
If this happens, it means that Aatrox is standing in the middle of the wave, dangerously close to the bush. Of course, at this point, you would have to assume that the Aatrox main is more ill than they usually are.
Because at that point you just jump on him with Savagery (and assuming you have enough abilities to cycle through to empowered ability) and then you can walk out of his Infernal Chains behind him, then you can just add around him for 4 seconds trading auto attacks until he uses his Q2, then you walk toward the bush again and Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar or Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar if you jumped on to him with 0 stacks.
Then you jump from the bush again and run away to the bush again.
The remark about the remark: If you do this post-6, Aatrox might use World Ender on you, in which case you match his World Ender and with Thrill of the Hunt and you will probably get hit by his Q2 since he will use Infernal Chains and Umbral Dash to guarantee a hit (if he does not then you just use your MS from ult to dodge it and then ult the minion), but then you just ult onto a minion and he should not be able to hit his Q3. Then you are in a really good spot because Aatrox with no World Ender is omega useless.

What happens if I misplay: This section is more about what will happen if we don't do the right trading patterns.
- So, for instance, why even wait for Aatrox to use his Q1, well as mentioned it is more about increasing your DPS and decreasing his, you can tank his Q1 sweet spot but you still have to hold Empowered Battle Roar for his Q3, so Aatrox can be perfectly content trading auto attacks with you for 8 seconds while in his minion wave tanking him and the minions. And if you realize that you don't want to be there anymore then he will simply Q2 you on your way out (or you dodge it), and you might get hit by Infernal Chains, and you will need to use Empowered Battle Roar and Battle Roar so you don't lose the trade too hard.

Teamfights:
If you won lane as you should then he is free gold and just do Rengar things with Empowered Battle Roar or Empowered Bola Strike if Aatrox tries to run away.

Akali:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra + pick up an early Ruby Crystal to survive an all-in, Teleport & Ignite

Things to know: Akali is revealed by you Bola Strike, so hitting it matters in this matchup.

Level 1:
-Rengar wins level 1 unconditionally so you just stand in the bush closest to the tower and zone Akali of the minions.

Level 3:
-You gain 2 ferocity then leap on her:
Savagery > Bola Strike > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar

- You can also do it with 0 ferocity but you will take more damage since you can't clear damage on the way out:
Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Savagery

Level 6:
- Akali can kill you here if you are caught out with no Battle Roar
-Be wary about losing too much health, so using Empowered Battle Roar is good.

-She can oneshot you post 6 if she ever lands her Shuriken Flip, so don't get caught out without Battle Roar. but if you keep crashing waves into her tower you should be fine, since her wave clear is probably the worst of the entire toplane roster. And you hard outscale her so crahsing waves post-6 is completely fine, once you get some health and magic resist she can't do anything, and she can't farms so slow you will be able to take jungle camps and roam around the map and take towers will she will be stuck trying to kill a cannon minion.

- Else just match Perfect Execution with Thrill of the Hunt if in doubt.

There is not much to this matchup other than trading Savagery for Five Point Strike is worth it since you can Battle Roar to negate half of her damage and deal some AOE to her and the wave.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Akshan:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Teleport & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps, Oracle Lens

Level 1:
-You win level 1 unconditionally, but it is not worth it to leap very far to him since he will just kite you to his tower and shoot you in the butt when you run to your bush again. It is much better to spend your health tanking a couple of auto attacks by pulling the wave and then leaping to him when he is relatively close to the wave with Empowered Savagery and Savagery.

Level 3:
-I would recommend not cheater recalling against Akshan since you he will never let you enter the bush, so try to keep the wave state in the centre of the lane of closer to his tower, but also aoid him freezing since he will be able to poke you when you go for CS, so there is that to keep in mind.
Good combo of course:
Empowered Savagery > Bola Strike > Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Bola Strike & Ignite

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Camille:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Cool Video to watch

Level 1:
- Camille will either start Precision Protocol or Tactical Sweep.

-If Camille starts Tactical Sweep you get the free'est lane prio.

-If Camille starts Precision Protocol, You beat her with trading Savagery with Precision Protocol to put her Adaptive Defenses on CD. It is smartest if you can trade Savagery with Precision Protocol when the minion waves are in the lane so you can stack your ferocity and leap on her with Empowered Savagery when she does not have her Adaptive Defenses, but don't mind minion wave position too much, just make sure not to get hit by her true-damage/second Precision Protocol, but with Fleet Footwork you can easily kite her Q2.

Level 2:
-If Camille gets level 2 before you crash the wave and assume the wave is close to her tower. Then you can't play up unless you have 4 ferocity stacks or else she can just Hookshot and get a free trade. But if you have 4 stacks then you can stand in the wave with your Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar to push the wave and negate her Hookshot if she ever jumps on you.

Level 6:
-Level 6 and onwards are similar because Hextech Ultimatum does nothing if she does not have a jungler. So just make sure to put a Control Ward in the enemy jungle before playing the lane post-level 6. And don't get caught out of a bush with no stacks like a chump, because then you are screwed.

-If Camille can freeze the wave then you have lost, if you freeze the wave then you have won.

-Combos vs Camille:
Camille's bread and butter is the:
Precision Protocol > Tactical Sweep > Precision Protocol
But this countered by doing our even more bread and butter combo:
Savagery > Bola Strike > (get hit by second part of Precision Protocol) > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

But in general, you have a lot of leeway in this matchup early game, if you just have Battle Roar up to heal after a trade then you will come out on top.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cho'Gath:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite, Boots of Swiftness

You know the old saying:
"Put me in a room with Hail of Blades Cho'Gath and I will show you 10 mental hospitals I would like to visit."

Level 1:
-You use Savagery and run away.

-It will be hard getting a push into Cho'Gath if he starts Vorpal Spikes, but when they go on cool down it is free trades all day.

-But just trade with Savagery and match his push.

Level 2 or 3:
-It depends on when he levels his Feral Scream, because as soon as he does you can not leap on him with Savagery without having 3 ferocity stacks already, then you Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar and run away. (As we discussed in "General matchup advice" he is a G_2 champion)

Level 6:
-Nothing much changes post-6, you just wanna keep doing:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Darius:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Youmuu's Ghostblade, Ghost & Ignite, Boots of Swiftness

Ban that clown champ!

Level 1:
- Darius players will zone you off the bush so you need to do the wading trick in the "General matchup advice" section.

-You trade your Savagery for his Crippling Strike then you disengage for 5 seconds so his passive runs out, Darius should still be standing in the bush but because he took minion agro it made the enemy minion wave move closer to the bush he is standing in, so now you trade your Savagery for his Crippling Strike again, and then leap to the minions and keep your ferocity up by leaping the enemy caster minions and if he moves over to your caster minions then you start jumping to his melee minions.
Once your Savagery is up again then you can jump to him, if he is near a bush (which he should be since he is hitting your wave), then use your Savagery > Empowered Savagery and then leap to the enemy minions again.
Then you just wait for your Savagery to come back up for a last time and kill him with Ignite.

- it is important to keep your head cool and match his ghost with yours and kite him into a bush and leap to a minion at any point in time.

- if Darius has ignite then it should not change anything, Just remember to auto-cancel and you will beat him.

Level 2:
-Issue is that Darius should hit level 2 before you, so if you have not killed him at level 1 or made Darius run away, then you are in trouble and you should look to CS for the incoming wave to hit level 2.

-And if you can get to level 2 and have 2 ferocity with your Savagery and Battle Roar up, then you can kill him if you are both half health or below that, else you need to short trade him until he is.

Level 3:
-You still haven't killed him???

-What you do now is treat him like a G_2 champion and wait for him to waste his Crippling Strike on a minion because else you will lose the trade so you must punish him in the short 5s window when Crippling Strike is down, then you do the combo with 3 ferocity:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

-It is very important you do the Empowered Battle Roar as soon as his Apprehend hits you since if you don't react fast enough then you will get hit by his Decimate and lose the trade.

-You can also just wait for him to go into your bush then his Crippling Strike does not need to be on CD and you do not need to time the Empowered Battle Roar as perfectly, because you can just jump to a minion to dodge his Decimate, but usually, Darius mains will look to hit the minion wave to gain a minion advantage or level advantage.

Remark:
-If there are too many enemy minions and the wave is getting too close to your tower, then don't bother contesting lane at that point, because you will have to use CDs to thin the wave and at that point, Darius will just run you down.

Level 6:
-As mentioned you need to trade him like he is a G_2 champion and do the trading pattern as in the level 3 section.

-Don't ever trade him in front of his tower if he has Ghost and you do not, he will run you down, but you can compensate your ghost with your Thrill of the Hunt.

Post-Stridebreaker:
-You just don't touch him if you have not smashed him in the lane already

-You just play for team fights and make sure to have Thrill of the Hunt and Empowered Battle Roar to run away because you need Darius to use abilities on you and then run away before he hits 5 stacks. Then you should be able to win the team fight by re-engaging with the enemy team once your CDs are up again.

But as said I ban this champion, he is so obnoxious to lane versus, you have to space him and kite him perfectly to win this lane. But if you are even in the lane and made it to Ravenous Hydra then you should be ten times more useful than him for the rest of the game.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dr. Mundo:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Blade of the Ruined King, Flash & Ignite, Oracle Lens, Control Ward

The reason we buy this much anti-vision is that we want to stop Dr. Mundo from hitting us with his Infected Bonesaw while we are in the bush. He also has the worst gank setup in the game so nothing to fear about not having Stealth Ward for the jungle.

Level 1:
-It is not worth it trading with Mundo level 1 because eating his Infected Bonesaw hurts, it is better to just get 3 stack ferocity and Savagery > Empowered Savagery.

-A thing you should not do is actually to leap from the bush to CS, because if they Dr. Mundo has above monkey level of pattern recognition then he will quickly begin to realize that he can just hurl a Infected Bonesaw at every low minion to guarantee a hit. It is better to just stand behind your minions and CS. And it is important to CS faster than Dr. Mundo because if he manages to kill the melee minions then you have nothing to block his Infected Bonesaw when trying to CS the caster minions.

Level 2:
Savagery > Battle Roar wins you the trade

Level 3:

Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

When he is low
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Savagery

Level 6:
-If you get caught without Thrill of the Hunt close to his tower then he will run you down with Maximum Dosage.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Fiora:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-She is stronger than you level 1 without wave if she gets a good vital placement, but it is better not to risk it, so do the step explained in the "General Matchup Advice".

-If she gets a good Duelist's Dance then walk away to reset the Duelist's Dance.

-What you do is that you trade Savagery for Lunge and then run away, if she does not hit the Duelist's Dance with her Lunge it goes on full CD which is huge and means you can now Savagery without her trading back.

-When you have 3 ferocity you use Savagery > Empowered Savagery and kill her.

-little tip, your leap lets you hit minions faster if you are right next to a bush, so you can push waves faster than her while you wait for your Savagery to come back up.

Level 2:
-Fiora will have her Riposte up so unless it is down, don't use Empowered Savagery. It is better to just:
Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

Level 3:
-This is when you need to be patient because what Fiora might do is that she will Riposte your leap and then Lunge to a vital and use Bladework if you use Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar before she uses Lunge and Bladework then you are screwed and dead if you do it in front of her tower. After all, she will run you down.

Level 6:
-You do not want to jump too far away from the bush from post-6 and do not get caught too close to her tower without Thrill of the Hunt, or she will run you down...

-But if you keep the wave in a neutral state or close to your tower then you should be able to kite her Grand Challenge easily. And since Fiora is very ultimately dependent then she needs to get value from it or she is useless.

Gangplank:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Oracle Lens

Level 1:
-Gangplank will either go Parrrley or Powder Keg

-If he goes Parrrley you sweep when he wards and then wait for him to use Parrrley to CS then you leap on him with Savagery

-If he goes Powder Keg you have to contest his barrels by auto canceling and using Savagery, it is impossible for Gangplank to detonate a Powder Keg if you do this, and then you just eat his Trial By Fire and zone him off the minion wave since his barrels are on a massive 18s cooldown.

-Another thing about Powder Keg is that you can test Gangplank's reaction time by just jumping to the Powder Keg and seeing if he detonates it while you are in mid-air but you can only do this level 1 since his Parrrley has a much faster animation than Gangplank's auto attacks.

-A third thing about Powder Keg start is that you can jump onto the Powder Keg with 3 ferocity stacks and then auto cancle with Savagery and then use Empowered Savagery on Gangplank himself.

Level 2:
-This is all about doing Savagery > Battle Roar trades and burning Gangplank's mana pool

-you could go for Empowered Savagery trades but once Gangplank comes back with a sheen, you need to do Empowered Battle Roar since he will poke you out, and this lane is about a war of attrition, as soon as Gangplank's mana runs out he has nothing: no heal, no poke, no farming tool.

-There is not much to say, the lane does not change after level 2, Rengar spikes at 1-2 items, and then Gangplank begins to out scale very slowly.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Garen:
Fleet Footwork or Conqueror + Bone Plating, Doran's Blade, Black Cleaver or Sundered Sky, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-Garen can either start Decisive Strike or Judgment, either way, you just wait for the wave to arrive, then you jump on him and see what he leveled it makes no difference unless he goes Phase Rush then you can't jump on him far away from the bush because he will turn on Judgment and use Phase Rush to run you down.

-if he has Phase Rush then when he goes to CS at some point and when he is close to the bush you just leap onto him and Savagery him. and run to the bush and jump to a minion.

-But in general, you don't want to trade evenly with Garen because he has so much sustain, so you should wait for your Empowered Savagery and then jump on him and then run away, then reengage with Savagery if he steps up when his ability is on CD.

Level 2:
-This is where it gets interesting. we now see him as a G_2 champion and will trade him with 3 ferocity stacks into a:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

-If you want to Trade Savagery in the hop of baiting out Garen's Decisive Strike > Judgment then you have to stand very close to a bush so you can kite his Judgment fast to take little damage.

Level 3:
-Nothing changes other than Garen gets a shield.

Level 6:
-Nothing changes.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gnar:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Ignite, Oracle Lens

Gnaris not a threat and should not get to CS without being punished, jump on him with Savagery to proc his Bone Plating and then Savagery > Empowered Savagery

You don't have to be afraid of Rage Gene pre-6 since he only has Wallop to CC you, so you just play into him like a G_2 champ and leap on mega Gnar with:
Savagery > (get hit by Wallop) > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar.
But in reality, you should not look for fights against mega Gnar just punish him when he is in his little form.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gragas:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra or Sundered Sky, Flash & Teleport, Oracle Lens

Level 1:
- Gragas will either start Barrel Roll or Body Slam.

-If he starts Body Slam then you jump on him when he is close to a bush so he can't react and then perma gap close on him. Don't max range leap, it will be too easy for him to react (but you can always test the waters I guess).

-If he starts Barrel Roll then you want to get 3 ferocity stacks and leap on him with Savagery > Empowered Savagery. it is important not to push the wave too fast because then he will just use all the Barrel Roll on you. After all, the wave is pushing to Gragas so he is not losing any waves by doing it. An even lane state is super good because he has to choose between poking you or CS'ing, so as said just do double Savagery trades.

Level 2:
- Gragas will either have Body Slam leveled now, so we see him as a G_2 champion and do the trade:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar
And then we have a 11s window where we can trade Gragas with Savagery

Level 3:
- Gragas will have leveled Drunken Rage where he negates damage, if he has this ability up then the only trade you will do is:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

-If you don't have Battle Roar and Gragas has Drunken Rage up, then even though he does not have Body Slam up, then you do not want to trade into Drunken Rage because it hurts like a truck and tanking Drunken Rage and being hit by a Barrel Roll on the way out will chunk Rengar.

- Gragas is just like Gangplank, it is just about burning their mana pool and getting more from the trades than they do by abusing Rengar's very balanced Battle Roar to remain full health while Gragas is slowly running out of mana.

Level 6:
-Nothing changes other than don't stand close to his tower if few or no minions are tanking the turret aggro.

-If you make sure to keep the wave in a neutral state or close to your tower then this ability is useless. The only thing to keep in mind is to use your Battle Roar to get his body slam, or else he can combo you down if you just waste abilities on the wave for no reason, just like we can do to Gragas.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Graves:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade, Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps, Oracle Lens

-Only thing I can say that is useful is to keep you Bola Strike for when he has used his dash and then use Empowered Savagery to gap close.

-Other than that I have nothing to say about this matchup, you can jump on him when he goes to CS and proc PTA and he is 66% healthy.
This matchup is so free.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gwen:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
- Punish her when she goes for CS and do Savagery > Empowered Savagery trades, don't do max leap onto her, she is really strong level 1.

-It is important to have got a clean third-wave crash because her Snip Snip! does a lot of AOE damage to minions and can prevent a second-wave crash.

Level 2:
- Gwen has no power if she can't hit the wave just like Irelia so if you see her step up without passive stacks then you leap on her and do Savagery > Battle Roar and run her down.

Level 3:
-Nothing changes.

Level 6:
-She can run you down if she can freeze the wave.

-Don't leap too far away from the bush or else we will run you down. You need to force her to walk up for CS, then combo her down, and then leap to a minion and kite out her Needlework with your Thrill of the Hunt and then you can leap onto her again when her Needlework is on cooldown.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Heimerdinger:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra> Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Teleport, Oracle Lens

Remark:
-If Heimerdinger can't snowball the lane'ing phase then he is useless past 20 minutes, so playing for scaling is the plan.

-He will perma shove you under the tower and there is nothing you can do, 3 points into Savagery then max Battle Roar, don't level Thrill of the Hunt.

-Arrive in lane early! Do not leash! Make sure to contest him if he tries to put turrets down in the bush pre-lane phase

-In lane you want to jump on his turrests and auto cancel with Savagery

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Illaoi:
Conqueror + Bone Plating, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Voltaic Cyclosword, Ignite & Teleport, Oracle Lens

Remark:
-Get Tiamat into Ravenous Hydra. Once you have Ravenous Hydra she can no longer harm you, since you can just clear waves and roatate to teamfights.

Level 1:
-If the Illaoi is good then she will start Harsh Lesson and trade with your Savagery

-Or she can start Tentacle Smash and then you jump on to Illaoi and dodge the tentacle and hit her with Savagery

Level 2:
-Illaoi will either level Test of Spirit or one of her other two abilities.

-If she levels Test of Spirit then don't jump Illaoi, make her waste it before you jump on her.
-If she takes one of the other two then you jump onto her with Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar.

Level 3:
- Illaoi will have her Test of Spirit and it is not worth jumping on her anymore and you have to wait for her to waste her Test of Spirit.

Level 6:
-Nothing changes, just make sure to keep that wave as far away from your tower as possible.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Irelia:
Press the Attack + Bone Plating, Doran's Blade start, Trinity Force or whatever you want, Flash & Ignite

Remark:
-this matchup is decided in the first 3:00 minutes of the game.

Level 1:
-Against Irelia it is very important you pull the wave so the enemy minion will kill one of your melee minions before all the others meaning that Irelia won't be able to get 3 stacks off your melee minions.

-You need to zone her off the wave, so jump on her when she is on leap range and proc Press the Attack.
-It is crucial you damage her as much as possible before you cheater recall.

Level 3:
-There is no interaction with Irelia level 2 other than you should level Bola Strike and not Battle Roar level 2.

-It is very important that you either kill the Irelia before crashing the wave or dive Irelia and trade kill for the kill if possible.

-The bare minimum is getting her below 30% hp before you cheater recall.

-(It is important you commit to fast push the third wave so you can get a good cheater recall)

Level 4:
-This is the last chance to get a large advantage and win the lane.

-Irelia should be low enough after the first three levels that she should not be able to contest your freeze and will be zoned off the wave for the rest of the match and now you have one versus Irelia.

-If you did not freeze then gg, you will first out-scale her at 4 items.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jax:
Press the Attack or Lethal Tempo or Conqueror, Doran's Blade, Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver into Lethality, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
- Jax can zone you off the wave level 1, so do the wading trick if he does.

-You can only leap on Jax if he is close to a bush, if he is not then you have to match his push until he is. Else we just wait for level 2.

-Also don't push the wave, just keep it at an even lane state.

-The reason why we don't leap far to Jax level 1 is because he can simply turn on Counter Strike and run us down.

-But if the Jax goes into the bush so we can leap to a minion and dodge his Counter Strike then we win the 1v1 level 1.

Level 2:
-How to play it out, is to gain 3 ferocity stacks then when Jax is close enough to the bush that you get back to it in 1.5 seconds, then you leap on the Jax with Savagery and use Fleet Footwork to kite back to the bush and then jump to a minion to dodge his Counter Strike if he still hits you using Leap Strike that is okay because you just use you Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar and run into the bush and then reengage with Savagery and then run away for a third time with Fleet Footwork movement speed.

Level 3:
-If you have faith in hitting your Empowered Bola Strike, then you can do the trade:
Savagery > Empowered Bola Strike > RUN AWAY! (you don't need to be close to a bush for this one unless he has Flash and you do not have Flash)

-Else you can just do the Level 2 trade but this trade does not burn as many of your cooldowns

Level 6:
-Nothing changes

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jayce:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite

I don't know what he does!

-I just do what I do in every other ranged matchup, which is to pull the wave and leap on Jayce when he is close to the bush and look for Savagery > Empowered Savagery trades.

-I also know he does a lot of damage and has no sustain so Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

K'Sante:

Press the Attack or Lethal Tempo, Doran's Shield, Sblack cleaver into lethality build, Flash & Teleport

Level 1
-Just jump on him when he goes to farm, do not let him just freely stack his Ntofo Strikes.

-Be wary of his Q3, you should preferably be standing in bushes and waiting to punish K'Sante cooldowns and then run back to the bush after a trade.
K'Sante will demolish Rengar if he can land his Q3, so respect that and space him.

Level 2:
- K'Sante will level his Footwork.

-Make sure not to leap too far away from the bush now or he can secure his Q2 and Q3 hits you.

-Going for:
Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar
Is only okay if K'Sante does not have any Q-stacks. If he does then you can only go for this trade:
Savagery (get hit by Q3) Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

Level 3:
-Now K'Sante has his Path Maker which can stun you if he hits you into a wall, So if K'Sante walks towards you inside a bush then you need to either have 3 ferocity and buffer your Savagery > (stunned by Path Maker) Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar. Or you need to jump to a minion to kite him.
-In general after you crash the wave you can look to freeze him out and just all in him if he goes for the wave.

-Else the same trading pattern as level 2 now applies but if you are brave then you can do the:
Savagery > Empowered Bola Strike > Battle Roar.
This combo does not work if K'Sante's Q3 is up.

Level 6
-Don't get caught with no cooldowns, and don't get caught without Thrill of the Hunt or without a bush so you can leap to minions.

-Nothing special, other than you need to be careful against his level 6 until you get Divine Sunderer

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Karma:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Teleport, Mercury's Treads

Level 1:
-We do what we do to every ranged champion level 1, we pull the wave and jump on her with Savagery > Empowered Savagery

Leverl 2
-Karma will have her Focused Resolve so now we trade her with:
Savagery > (get cc'ed) Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar.

-nothing changes past this.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kayle:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade start, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-Pull wave, jump with Savagery > Empowered Savagery

-Don't ever jump on her level 1, unless you have Empowered Savagery.

Level 2:
-level Bola Strike

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kennen:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ruby Crystal + Hexdrinker + Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Teleport, Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Level 1:
-Pull wave, jump with Savagery > Empowered Savagery

Level 6:
-Just don't get caught without Battle Roar and you will be safe.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Kled:
Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Blade start, Black Cleaver or Tiamat item, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-You do not beat Kled level 1 so do the warding trick.

-When he is close to the bush you jump on him, and then go back into the bush and jump on a minion to get out of Beartrap on a Rope.

-You will never win an all-in versus this champion but with Grasp of the Undying procs and Savagery trades you can beat him or at least gain lane prio

Level 2:
- Rengar becomes a lot stronger than Kled because of the:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

Level 3:
-Here you crash the wave and back off, you do not want to get caught out by Kled level 3 without a wave or bush to kite him with.

-Once the wave gets to an even lane state you can begin to kite him again, just don't jump too far away from the bush, this is mainly due to his Jousting allowing him to guarantee his second part of Beartrap on a Rope hits unless we can jump away from him.

- Kled will also have Violent Tendencies, this ability is where all his power is, so waiting for him to use it on the wave makes it much easier to trade into him.

Level 6:
-Post-level 6 you do not want to be under your tower when he has this ability, but nor do you want to be under his tower.

-It is important to remain cool and know that he can only gap close to you once, so leaping towards his tower to escape Kled's combo and then Thrill of the Hunt away is completely fine.

-In general Kled can't do much to you if you just don't jump far away from the bushes.

The general combo is to leap on him when he is close to a bush and:
Savagery > Bola Strike > Empowered Savagery/ Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar (If Kled has Violent Tendencies) > (kite into the bush and jump to a minion to avoid Beartrap on a Rope)
Of course, you can also do the triple Savagery combo.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Malphite:
Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Blade, Dark Seal cheater recall into Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver into lethality build, Flash & Ignite, You also wanna max Battle Roar in this lane.

Level 1:
- Malphite should start Thunderclap level 1 but most Malphite players will start Seismic Shard for some reason.

-You have to test the waters so just jump on him when you get the chance, when the wave arrives and he goes for farm.

-If malphite ever uses Seismic Shard close to a bush then you can just jump on him, but that will never happen if he has a brain... So it might actually happen after all they are Malphite players.

-If they start Thunderclap you just trade them with Savagery and then run away and wait for it to run out.

-If they start Seismic Shard then don't walk outside the bush until the minions are low, because then the Malphite has to either use it on you are the low minions. It is also important not to push the wave too fast in this scenario because you can deny him a lot of minions because of his stupid ability to start.

-Nothing changes after level 1 other than you want to avoid fighting the Malphite when Thunderclap is enabled. And this combo is very good:
Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar.

-If Malphite ever buys bramble you want to just jump on a minion close to him and let him blow his combo then Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar, to waste his mana.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Mordekaiser:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade, Blade of the Ruined King or Black Cleaver into lethality build, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-Jump on Mordekaiser and the walk right past him to dodge his Obliterate and you will win the trade. But else just do Savagery > Empowered Savagery.

Level 2:
-The safe route is always just to do:
Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

-But if you can dodge his Obliterate (which you really should), then go for the:
Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar

Level 6:
-Doing:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

-But never jump on mordekaiser post-6 without having Empowered Battle Roar available or he will run you down. But if you do get ulted without Empowered Battle Roar then just use Thrill of the Hunt and play a dodging game.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Nasus:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword + Black Cleaver is good second item, Teleport & Ignite

Level 1:
-Pull wave, jump with Savagery > Empowered Savagery

Level 6:
-From here on out the only trade you can do against Nasus is:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse Wither

- So stack a lot of CDR so you can kite him and he will never be able to run you down.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Olaf:
Conqueror, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
- Olaf beats Rengar so do the warding trick.

- Olaf's Undertow is on a 2.5-second cooldown, so trading Undertow for Savagery is fine if you just don't get hit by two Undertows

-After you do the warding trick then you get 3 ferocity stacks and then leap onto him again and do Savagery > Empowered Savagery when the Olaf is close to a bush, then you can jump away and wait for your Savagery to come back up and then you should be able to kill him.

Level 2:
-Becomes a lot more playable because of the:
Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar trade.

-There is no way Olaf can kill you here unless you pushed the wave to his tower at level 2, because as long as you can kit him with minions then you can win every trade.

Level 6:
-Don't leap to Olaf if the wave is at his tower.
-Don't leap to Olaf if he is far away from the bush

-The correct way to play this out is to only trade him when he is near a bush, then if he tries to run you down with Ragnarok you jump to a minion a use Thrill of the Hunt

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ornn:
Fleet Footwork or Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Shield, Black Cleaver into lethality, Flash & Teleport

Level 1:
-Pull wave, Ornn has to either use his abilities to CS or he has to walk in melee range, so making sure that the minions are not unanimously low will make him miss CS or he has to walk up, which means you get a good trade.
-Look for a three wave crash

Level 3:
- Ornn will have his Bellows Breath, make sure not to get hit by the last part, or else you have to run away, do not let him auto attack you. The best thing you can do is stay close to Ornn and then run around him to dodge his Bellows Breath and then extend the trade.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Pantheon:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Sundered Sky, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-If Pantheon ever walks up just kill him.

Level 2:
- Pantheon will have Shield Vault so only look for:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar trades when it is up.

-Nothing changes.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Poppy:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Teleport & Ignite, Oracle Lens

Level 1:
-You beat her level 1 so pull wave and trade.

Level 2:
- Poppy will have Steadfast Presence or Heroic Charge

-If she has Heroic Charge then you can only sit in a bush if you have Empowered Battle Roar up, else just quickly enter the bush to leap onto her and use Savagery to trade her down.

-If she has Steadfast Presence, you can just jump at her to test her reaction time, usually they can not react if you leap when they are close to a bush, but with a full-range leap, they can react.

-You can do a full-range leap with 4 ferocity stacks and if she uses Steadfast Presence then you use Empowered Battle Roar and then you can trade her for the next 20 seconds because it is on cooldown.

Level 3:
- Poppy will have both Steadfast Presence and Heroic Charge at this point the smartest you can do is to extend the lane'ing phase as much as possible, to make Poppy burn her mana pool and make sure she does not crash the wave.

-If Poppy crashes the wave she can use Heroic Charge to pin you into the tower and do a lot of damage

-The best thing to do post-3 is to not stand in a bush unless you want to leap onto the Poppy.

-How to win trades versus Poppy is about having 4 ferocity stacks and leaping onto her:
If she uses Steadfast Presence then you use Empowered Battle Roar,
If she does not use Steadfast Presence then you use Empowered Savagery

-Try and get her Bone Plating with Battle Roar or Bola Strike

Level 6:
-Nothing changes

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Quinn:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Pull wave, don't hit minions just last hit.
- Quinn has Vault at level 1, do not engage on her level 1 you will lose (unless she is standing in or right next to a bush).

Level 2:
-Treat her like a G_2 champion and go for:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar
To put Vault on cooldown and punish her for going for CS

Level 3:
-Double empowered combo:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Bola Strike / Empowered Battle Roar depending on kill threat, how much damage you took, minions blocking.

Level 6:
-Nothing changes.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Renekton:
Conqueror, Bone Plating, Doran's Blade, Sundered Sky or Titanic Hydra, Cleanse & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Renekton will zone you off the wave so you have to do the warding trick and tank his Cull the Meek or Ruthless Predator when the minions are half-health, no matter what ability renekton levels first he will beat you in an all-in without a wave.

-If Renekton does not bush cheese you and he levels Ruthless Predator, then you should jump on a minion to gain 2 stacks of ferocity (without getting hit by his Ruthless Predator).
Then when your Savagery is up again you leap on him to gain 3 ferocity and make him use his Ruthless Predator, then you jump on him again and do Savagery > Empowered Savagery and win the all in while his Ruthless Predator is on cooldown, if he backs off that means you can get level 2 first and get lane prio.

-If you are in the situation where you had to tank his Ruthless Predator because he zoned you off the bush then you jump on Renekton when your Savagery is up again because his Ruthless Predator is on still on cooldown.
You then have to tank his empowered Ruthless Predator but you will win the all-in with Savagery > Empowered Savagery, but most likely Renekton will concede lane prio and you get to level 2 first.

-In general, you do not want to fight Renekton before the wave arrives because he can stack his fury on you and wins the trade, if he does not zone you off the bush then don't look for a fight.
It is worth trading Savagery for Cull the Meek and then running away, but you can never be sure if he started Ruthless Predator or Cull the Meek. This means that the only time you should leap on Renekton before the wave arrives, is if you can see what he started and then have time to recall and get back before the wave arrives, which is the first 40 seconds of the match.
It is a high-risk low reward for something that does not change the matchup at all.

Tl; Dr:
If Renekton zones you off the bush, then trade with him when the minions are half health and then jump from bush to minions.
If he does not zone you off the wave, then stand in the bush and wait for the minions to arrive and then jump to a minion to gain 2 ferocity stacks without getting hit by his abilities and then jump on him when your Savagery is back up and then run away until your Savagery is back up and all-in him.

Level 2:
- Renekton will now have both Cull the Meek and Ruthless Predator.

-We now treat Renekton like a G_3 champion if Renekton has less than 50% fury and a G_2 champion if Renekton has more than 50% fury, the reason for that is because re nekton's stun goes from 0.75 to 1.75 seconds depending on fury.
So if Renekton uses his Ruthless Predator with more than 50% fury then you do not have time to gain additional ferocity after the stun to cleanse the Ruthless Predator damage (well you do but it is 250ms) and you will have no cooldowns or Battle Roars to negate the damage from his Cull the Meek, which will result in an even trade at best when we could be doing better.
The correct way to play it out if renekton has more than 50% fury and he has Ruthless Predator up, is to do:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse Ruthless Predator then wait to see if he uses empowered Cull the Meek, if he does not then we just Battle Roar again when we are out of his Cull the Meek range.
You might ask yourself what if he uses Cull the Meek when we jump on him, then he has made a huge mistake and then we just do:
Savagery > [get hit by empowered Cull the Meek) > Empowered Savagery > (get hit by Ruthless Predator) > Battle Roar.

Level 3:
- Renekton now has Slice and Dice, meaning he is now a G_1 champion when he is bove 50% fury and a G_3 champion when it is below 50%.

-The only change there is at level 3, is that Renekton can wait 2 seconds after you used Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse his empowered Ruthless Predator and then use still hit you with Cull the Meek because he has Slice and Dice to gap close.
Well, what does that mean?
It means that you cow can't negate all of Renekton's kit because he is extending the amount of time his combo lasts beyond 2 seconds.

-The way we counter him delaying his combo is being able to run to the bush and jump away in the 2-second window so he will be forced to either use his Cull the Meek anyway and we will again negate and heal his entire combo or he will have to let us get away.

Level 6:
- Renekton now becomes a permanent G_1 champion and can force on you at any point in time when you leap too far away from the bush.
-he will also be able to tower dive you at any point in time unless you snowballed pre-6. This is why I like Cleanse, even if you entered or went even in the lane, it will make it hard for the Renekton to dive you. Also in general Cleanse is huge against his Ignite.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Riven:
Fleet Footwork, Bone Plating, Doran's Blade, Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver into lethality, Flash & Ignite/ Exhaust, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-I believe that if Riven zones you off the bush then you can not play the game, she has three charges on her Broken Wings meaning you can't just trade her ability for Savagery and then jump past her because she will just dash towards you and run you down when you try to enter the bush.

-But there is a solution, ward the middle bush and stand in the alcove, and when the wave arrives you walk into the bush and jump to the minion she does not stand furthest away from that is simultaneously also close to a bush.
Or you can jump on the Riven if she is near a bush and then enter the bush, and then jump away from her to kite her Broken Wings and then reengage when it is on cooldown (which is either after the last charge or 4 seconds after a cast).

Level 2:
- Riven should have her Ki Burst which means you now have to treat her as a G_2 champion only using:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar to trade with if Ki Burst is up

-If the Riven player for some reason leveled Valor then nothing changes from level 1.

Level 3:
-Now Riven definitely has Ki Burst

-Never jump to Riven if she is far away from a bush or she will run you down with dashes.

Level 6:
-Nothing changes, just jump to a minion when she uses Blade of the Exile and then Thrill of the Hunt way until it is over.

-Don't leap far away from a bush post-6.

Rumble:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Teleport & Ignite, Oracle Lens

Level 1:
- Rumble will either level his Electro-Harpoon that allows him to farm from range. Or he will level his Flamespitter that goves him the oppotunity to our trade Rengar

-The best thing you can do is just to not get hit by Electro-Harpoon or Flamespitter until you can get your Savagery > Empowered Savagery combo ready

Level 2:
- Rumble will have his Electro-Harpoon > Flamespitter + his passive Junkyard Titan granting him attack speed and on-hit damage, so he will do a lot of damage if you jump on Rumble outright for an extended trade or without Battle Roar-

-The way to play this out is to do the combo when he is standing in the wave:
Savagery + Battle Roar+ Empowered Battle Roar.
The reason for this is that this matchup is very dependent on wave states, you want to make sure the wave is even or slightly to his side.
That way he can't poke you and will have to either use Flamespitter to CS, which gives you a chance to leap on him. Or you will crash the wave at his tower and gain a roam opportunity, or river plants (since he has no health regen or mana it is all about the war of attrition health bar wise).

Level 3/6:
-Nothing changes, just don't leap too far from the bush, or Rumble can combo you down since he can slow you twice, so Empowered Battle Roar will be negated by his second rocket and then he can catch up to you with Scrap Shield and combo you down with his Flamespitter and The Equalizer.

-You hard out scale so don't worry about going even or slightly behind in the lane.

Sejuani:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite, Ionian Boots of Lucidity

-Is half magic damage and half attack damage.

Level 1:
-Wait for her to walk up for CS since Sejuani has no ranged abilities then Savagery and run away. And the all-in with Savagery > Empowered Savagery

- Sejuani will usually have Winter's Wrath to CS with but can also start Arctic Assault which interupts your leap. But if you wait for her to walk up for CS then you can walk back into the bush and reengage if she has Arctic Assault to interrupt your first leap.

level 2:
- Sejuani has both Winter's Wrath and Arctic Assault so use combo:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar
To put her Arctic Assault on CD and then you can jump on her with Savagery

level 3:
- Sejuani will have unlocked Permafrost meaning she will have a very strong sort of trade.

-The best thing to do is to have an even or frozen wave state so Sejuani needs to trade into you on your terms, either needing to spend her abilities/mana on CS or trading with you.
Combo:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar
Her CC and combo take time to set up so going for a double empowered ability rotation should be very possible unless Sejuani just uses Arctic Assault and runs away, which in that case you will have traded Empowered Savagery + Battle Roar for her Arctic Assault that has 18s cooldown that only did half damage.

level 6:
-Nothing changes other than Sejuani will have a really good gank setup so please ward, and thank you.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sett:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite, Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Level 1:
- Sett can zone you off the bush but just do the warding trick.

-Level 1 is basically about you leaping on Sett with Savagery and then running away until you hit level 2.

Level 2:
- Sett will have Facebreaker and Knuckle Down.

-He is now a G_2 champion and we leap on him with 3 ferocity and do the combo:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar (cleanse Facebreaker) > (get hit by Knuckle Down) Battle Roar

-You can also go for a double-empowered ability combo:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar

Level 3:
-Nothing changes just keep trading Sett down and his Haymaker will be useless

Level 6:
-Don't trade with Sett in front of his tower, you can't kite him with minions and he can easily displace you and lock you down with Facebreaker or The Show Stopper.

-The only direction Sett should be able to use The Show Stopper is towards a bush if you do the combo:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar and run towards a bush then he will use The Show Stopper into the bush and then you just jump to a minion to dodge his Haymaker.

-If you do the double empowered ability combo then you just need to be fast with your combo or if he uses Facebreaker > The Show Stopper to displace you away from the bush and then combo you down then you, but just do the combo after he ults you and then Thrill of the Hunt away with the movement speed you gain from Empowered Battle Roar

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Shen:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
- Shen can zone you off the bushes.

- Shen has Twilight Assault, he will place the sword far up the lane then slow you and guarantee he hits you with at least 2 empowered auto attacks and do more damage than Savagery

-Just match Shen's push and then leap on him when he does not have his sword in a position where it can slow you or uses Twilight Assault to farm or when you have Savagery > Empowered Savagery to trade. (It is okay to trade Savagery for one Shen empowered auto attack)

Level 2:
- Shen will have Shadow Dash and we treat him like a G_2 champion with the combo:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

Level 3:
-Only thing is that Shen can now block you Savagery with Spirit's Refuge but it is on a long cooldown like Shadow Dash.

-It can be hard to find an opening if you play your combos wrong, Shen can for example choose only to use his Spirit's Refuge to block your leap and Savagery, now you might be tempted to use Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar but that would be a mistake what you should do instead is to wait for your Savagery to come back up and then do the double empowered combo:
Empowered Savagery > ( Shen uses Shadow Dash to escape) then you now have both cooldowns on 12s and 18s cooldowns with all of yours up.

-If he decides not to use his Shadow Dash to escape but force an all-in then you will do the combo:
Empowered Savagery > (taunted) > fast combo Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar
Just make sure you stand next to something you can use Savagery on so you can rotate to Empowered Battle Roar to negate as much damage as possible from Shen, and I say fast combo because you have 1 second to do:
Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar once the taunt has finished.

Level 6:
-Cancle Shen's Stand United with Empowered Bola Strike

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Singed:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-Jump on him whenever.

Level 2:
-Always go for Empowered Savagery over Empowered Battle Roar

Level 3:
-From this point on Singed now has some of the best gank setups in the top lane.
If you believe in yourself and want to taste the enemy jungler's time then you can cleanse Singed's Fling with Empowered Battle Roar, combo:
Savagery > ( Fling) Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar > RUN!

Level 6:
- Singed will nine out of ten times use his Insanity Potion to run away or initiate a gank, you should match it with Thrill of the Hunt if you see him ulting for no reason, because you are getting ganked.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sion:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Ravenous Hydra > Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
-There is no reason to leap on Sion unless you have Empowered Savagery because he will either have Soul Furnace and make you tank his entire wave while you are trying to break his shield or he will have Decimating Smash and hit you with it, as you try and run back to the bush while tanking his entire wave, so unless he is standing in the bush then it is not worth fighting him unless you have 4 ferocity.

Level 2:
-Sion will have his Decimating Smash that will stun you making him a G_2 champ:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

Level 3:
-Go for double empowered combo:
Empowered Savagery > Savagery > Bola Strike > Battle Roar > (get hit by Decimating Smash) Empowered Battle Roar

Level 6:
-Nothing changes

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sylas:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite

-DO NOT GET YOUR JUNGLER NEAR HIM, the only matchup where I don't ever wanna see my jungle in my lane, because Sylas will steal his ult, meanwhile my ult is useless on him.

Level 1:
-Do not jump on him without having 4 ferocity because Sylas level 1 is really strong if he starts Abscond (which they always do). (you beat him if he stands in a bush).

Level 2:
- Sylas has Petricite Burst, Abscond and Kingslayer so he will have a lot of burst.

-Leap on Sylas with:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar > run away.

Level 3:
- Sylas has Chain Lash which does low damage but you can force him to use it to CS and then engage when it's on cooldown.

Level 6:
-Your jungle can no longer come top unless it's a free kill, if Sylas ever disappears it is because he is visiting your midlaner.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tahm Kench:
Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Blade, Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite

Level 1:
- Rengar beats Tahm Kench in a 1v1

- Tahm Kench will start Tongue Lash.

-You should first leap on Tahm Kench when you have Empowered Savagery

Level 2:
-Nothing changes, short trade him.

Level 6:
-Don't trade let him freeze and don't trade him if he freezes.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Trundle:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Youmuu's Ghostblade, Ghost & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Don't ever fight Trundle level 1.

-Go into the alcove and wait for the wave to arrive, if Trundle is near a bush you can jump on him with Savagery and then jump away again.

Level 2:
-Don't ever leap far away from the bush when Trundle has Frozen Domain up, he will run you down.

-The entire lane'ing phase is just Savagery > Empowered Savagery when Trundle gets close to a bush and then jumps away to his minions.

Level 3:
-Nothing changes, if you leave your bush or Trundle freezes then he will run you down.

midgame:
-You can not walk sidelane versus Trundle without having Thrill of the Hunt, Trundle can appear from any bush and run you down.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tryndamere:
Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Ghost & Ignite, Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Level 1:
- Rengar beats Tryndamere, making sure he does not get to hit the wave to stack his fury.

Level 3:
-you can wait for Tryndamere to go close to the bush and then use Empowered Savagery and then jump away to his minions.

-Or you could use Savagery > ( Tryndamere uses Mocking Shout) Empowered Battle Roar > Battle Roar

Level 6:
-Nothing changes just keep short trading him, just don't let him freeze or he will run you down.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Urgot:
Conqueror, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Black Cleaver, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-You start check Urgot level 1 if he walks into the bush

-In lane you don't want to leap on him unless Urgot is close to a bush because he will just Disdain, and then run away while you are stunned.

Level 2:
- Urgot will have Purge which means nothing to our trading pattern

-This is where the lane begins. Urgot is a classic G_2 champion and we only do:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse Disdain > Battle Roar.
To cleanse Disdain you need to use Empowered Battle Roar right when the ability connects.

-Then we punish Urgot walking up without Disdain.

Level 3:
- Urgot will have Corrosive Charge. This ability is super annoying because if Urgot hits you with it, after you have done the trade pattern from level 2, then he will deal a good chunk of damage to you.

-The best thing you can do is to dodge it...

Level 6:
-Nothing changes, just don't get low and use the trade pattern from level 2 and you will be fine.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Warwick:
Grasp of the Undying, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra > Youmuu's Ghostblade, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Only trade with Warwick when you have Empowered Savagery else wait for level 2.
-It is okay if you can't get lane prio into this lane, it can be hard if he zones you off minions so you can't stack.

- Warwick can zone you off the bush, so stand in an alcove.

Level 2:
- Warwick has both Jaws of the Beast and Primal Howl.

- Warwick is just about doing Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar.
Warwick has just as much sustain as Rengar, so it is about which person can get the most value out of their trade.
And since Rengar can execute his damage faster, then it is in our best interest to stay close to the bushes and kite Warwick such that we don't get hit by too many Eternal Hunger auto attacks.

Level 3:
- Warwick gains his Blood Hunt which is a huge attack speed steroid and is another reason why we do not leap far away from our bush, so we can kite this ability and limit its value.

Level 6:
-From now on Warwick is a G_2 champion and we only leap on him with:
Savagery > Empowered Battle Roar to cleanse Infinite Duress > Battle Roar

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Wukong:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver, Teleport & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Because of Wukong's Stone Skin we want to avoid extented fights.

- Wukong wins 1v1 against Rengar. It is good to trade Savagery for his Nimbus Strike but only do it when he goes for cs, do not jump into his wave for no reason.
If you jump at Wukong with 2 ferocity stacks then you will win the 1v1.

Level 2:
-Going for Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar is optimal.
Wukong will have Nimbus Strike and Crushing Blow so try and see if you can't get hit by both before using Battle Roar.

Level 3:
- Wukong will have Warrior Trickster which gives him a lot of bursts, so leap on him with 2 or 3 ferocity stacks and do the:
Savagery > Battle Roar > Empowered Battle Roar, again try and wait using Battle Roar until you have gotten hit by his entire combo.
When his Warrior Trickster is on cooldown then you can go for a Empowered Savagery trade.

Level 6:
-Wukong becomes a G_1 champion, so don't leap too far away from the bush or he will get full value from his Cyclone and can Ignite you and run you down.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Yasuo:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

- Yasuo and Yone are identical so I will only write this once.

-If they go tank item first item then go Sundered Sky or Black Cleaver.

Level 1:
-Only fight Yasuo in the wave.

-Pull the wave and leap with Savagery onto him and run into the bush.
(it is very very important to always pull the wave into Yasuo or he will get to the farm and poke you).

Level 2:
-Go for:
Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar trades and run away, don't leap too far, wait for Yasuo to go for CS.

Level 3/6:
-Nothing changes, just snowball.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Yone:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Eclipse or Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-Only fight Yone in the wave.

-Pull the wave and leap with Savagery onto him and run into the bush.
(it is very very important to always pull the wave into Yone or he will get to the farm and poke you).

Level 2:
-Go for:
Savagery > Empowered Savagery > Battle Roar trades and run away, don't leap too far, wait for Yone to go for CS.

Level 3/6:
-Nothing changes, just snowball.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Yorick:
Press the Attack, Doran's Blade, Ravenous Hydra> Voltaic Cyclosword, Flash & Ignite, Plated Steelcaps

Level 1:
-pull wave and make sure he does not CS for free

-The objective is to kill him before and while you crash the third wave

Level 3:
- Yorick will have Dark Procession, which means you can not leap far from the bush or he will trap you in it.

-This lane is either about snowballing out of control or waiting for Yorick to fall off.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Zac:
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Blade, Executioner's Calling > Black Cleaver or Blade of the Ruined King, Teleport & Ignite

Level 1:
-leap on Zac when you have Empowered Savagery or else you will just trade even because of Zac's minions and him prolonging the trade by using his Stretching Strikes. Of course, you can trade him if he walks close to the wave to CS.

Level 2:
- Zac will have Unstable Matter so like Cho'Gath the best way to win lane is to freeze so he can't heal

Level 3:
- Zac will have Elastic Slingshot which does not do a lot of damage.

Level 6:
-Stay close to bushes or he can do a lot of damage if you can't kite this ability and he catches you with Battle Roar on cooldown.
