Evelynn is an extremely risky Season 5 Jungler with a huge payoff if you manage to get past her early game troubles. She doesn't snowball like other champions try to do. She just hits her power spike at somewhere close to mid game, and never drops off. If you like the idea of taking control of the game as everyone is just settling into their gearsets, and utterly destroying your opponents right when they think they're starting to do good, then Evelynn is the woman you want to talk to.

[*] WHERE IS EVELYNN?!?!: Eve is the most panic-inducing character in the game. Play against a good eve, and there is no safe location.

[*] WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?!: Eve kills targets fast, and sometimes they will not know what hit them. If it weren't for that pesky kill tracker, they might not ever know that it was you securing those kills.


[*] OMFG IT'S OVER!: Evelynn has a really slow, hard start, and if you get executed in the jungle (it happens) or if you lose a few fights early your team is going to feel like ****. Sometimes they just surrender at the twenty minute mark because they just don't know.

Flash: This summoner spell is absolutely, 100% mandatory on every build ever, I have no idea why it's even still in the game, but whatever. Make sure you grab it. Your only decision here is which slot to put it in.

Smite: Well, this is the absolutely, 100%-mandatory-on-every-Jungle-build-ever spell, so your choice here is rather simple, isn't it!

It would take an act of the gods to secure an early game easy kill as Eve, so don't push your luck unless you're really feelin' it and Zeus is with you!

Your early game is going to be as passive as it can be, go ahead and let your opposition overextend and take risks. The more they get used to that, the better it's going to be when you start wrecking them. Just sit tight, farm away, and believe in Eve.

I recommend without end that you prepare your team ahead of time for what you're planning, so that they know they're not losing while you slowly build up. Seriously, go watch that movie Enchanted and sing along with "How does she KNOOOOWWWW" until you get it. If you don't communicate with your team and prepare them, they are seriously going to hate you. Heck, I might even hate you. Just kidding, I won't hate you, you're reading and upvoting my guide. These champions are good to consider when building a team that includes Evelynn.

Heimerdinger: Heimer plays a mean passive game that wrecks opponents in laning phase if they overextend. His late game's a problem, but that's not so bad when Evelynn has a teammate she can count on to constantly be under fire. Heimerdinger basically just becomes the bait to lure teamfights over, and the two of you will just destroy opposition. If the enemy team learns to be terrified of Heimerdinger, you're doing great! Just make sure you remind him to stay back when you're not in the area. He might get cocky.

Zyra: Zyra's just amazing overall and everyone loves her. But one of the best features of Zyra as support is that she can harass and poke enemies like no other, and she has very rare and tantalizing windows of opportunity to harass her. When the enemy team sees Zyra running away low on mana and health, they're GOING to rush in for the kill, ignorant of any other threat. Because she's just a terrifying little SOB in that bottom lane and they need to secure that kill. You also get a little more insurance to secure your kill if she dies, because her death thorn hits like a truck. A small truck, but a truck nonetheless.

Evelynn: Slow Start, massive power spike, pentakills all day.
