He's the duel king, can chase you down and equal/trump your cc. If he gets ahead of you he can stomp you. If you get ahead of him he can still stomp you. (My personal ban)

SKARNER YUMMI IS BROKEN AF. Super fun might I add.

Champion Build Guide

Check out my Youtube channel where I post Skarner gameplay and guides.
Here are a few highlights from the start of S11 as I continue to try to climb and piece together the perfect build for all scorpions to conquer with:
- High Mobility
- Low Pick Rate (Rip Darius players)
- Great and UNDERRATED Dueling Potential
- Scuttle Control
- Unkillable Late Game
- Not Mechanically Intensive
- Can Be Kited
- Qss Is Annoying AF
- Teammates Won't Trust You When You initiate A 2v3 Even Though It's Free.

Lastly for runes you can play around with them to counter the enemy team. I generally keep the attack speed because it helps us stack conqueror faster. I then choose either AD, Armor or MR for the last two.
FACTOR 1: Your Team Comp
- This is to choose between Turbo Chemtank OR the other three items. If you are the initiator, (have no teammates that will hard engage such as

FACTOR 2: Enemy Team Comp
- Now that you are choosing between

-If they have 3+ tanks then I will take Divine Sunderer 100%.
-If they are a squishy team then I usually take Tri force.
-If I am feeling spicy and they have a lot of melee champs, I will take goredrinker.
For more info about the builds with tri or goredrinker see notes above in build tab.

If I'm on blue team, my standard clear is: start Red -> Chickens -> Wolves -> Blue -> Gromp -> Scuttle or gank top/mid/fight jungler for scuttle.
If I'm on red team, my standard clear is: start Blue -> Gromp -> Wolves -> Chickens -> Red -> Scuttle or gank top/mid/fight jungler for scuttle.
If you are clearing correctly, you should have 100% hp with one smite charge when you arrive at scuttle which should be around 3 minutes. That gives you 15/25 seconds to get the spire, drop a ward and decide either to gank or focus on crab.

My favorite way to impose myself early game is to counter jungle, and look to double scuttle them. This is demoralizing as a jungler, at least I HATE when I get double scuttled. Look for ganks between your camps, but don't go out of your way. Focus on getting level 6

This time look for ganks or drakes. I rarely do rift unless there is nothing else to do on the map because it kills tempo. The difference between successful junglers and those trapped in ELO Hell is knowing which lanes to gank. Use a quick mental checklist:
1. Who has the least escapability?

2. What teammates have hard cc to help you?

3. Do they have flash up?
4. What can I possibly lose or gain by going for this gank?
**Think of the worst case scenario because it will probably happen. I don't want to gank top when my bot is pushed up to the enemy's tower with no vision and drake is up. Even if I get a succesful gank off top, we could lose a lot more botside. Don't worry about having to run down there, you are FAST.

When it comes to teamfighting at this point in the game, you most likely have to be the initiator. Look to

Just get a pick.

**I CANNOT stress this enough, do NOT underestimate your damage/survivability especially if you are fighting in a spire zone. You can 1v3 at this point.**

You are the Pick king. Never FF.

Skarner is a very fun champion because you get to run around the map at blazing speeds, creating havoc wherever you decide to go. He is a safe pick because he does not have almost any awful matchups, and his kit helps cover up a lot of mistakes (we all make mistakes). His ulti is a game CHANGING ability which nullifies the opposing team's mvp or at least makes them buy qss. There is a lot of room to grow with skarner, but the one thing that will make your Skarner gameplay better is learning macro. The only way to learn macro is to practice and of course to watch my youtube videos;). Just kidding, but for real, drop by and say hey from time to time. Thanks for reading my guide and good luck on the rift, summoner.
