At first we need to talk about the Strengths of Darius.

Darius is one of the strongest early game champions in the game. You can use this advantage to gain an early lead. Extended trades work in the favour of Darius thanks to his Passive Hemorrhage. He will win almost every auto-attack battle. This makes him a great duelist. He is really good in team fights thanks to his Ultimate Noxian Guillotine, which can be reset if he gets the killing blow with it.

Darius is really easy to kite. As he is immobile, champions with dashes, range advantage or poke make it difficult for Darius to get on to them and kill them. But this weakness is reduced with Flash, Ghost, Apprehend, Stridebreaker and Dead Man's Plate.

He falls off in the late game. But this weakness is reduced by his INCREDIBLE early to mid game.

His Ultimate Noxian Guillotine is crucial in team fights to take down key targets. If he miss-times his Ultimate, his damage output will be reduced heavily and it may cost him the team fight. This is why he needs to cast his Ultimate as soon as the enemy gets into health range. But this weakness is reduced if you learn to time the ultimate. After a few games, this weakness is no problem anymore.

Darius is not the easiest to play, but with a few games it will be EASY and FUN to play. He is one of the easiest to use, if you played him a bit. BUT people are playing him wrong for a while now. In this guide we will see how to play him with the STRONGEST WAY possible and dominate any kind of enemies easily.
This build is a combination between insanely big DAMAGE and even greater SUSTAIN. To carry you need to have BOTH. To create a build to have the perfect combination needs KNOWLEDGE and this is what we will share today with this build!

Darius is one of the most completed champions in the game. He got tools that most of champions don't even dream to have, like INSANE HEALING with Decimate, good farming ability with Crippling Strike, ARMOR REDUCTIONS and GAP CLOSER with Apprehend and PURE DAMAGE with Noxian Guillotine, which can be REUSED it if kills an enemy. Especially his R is something to be AFRAID OF right now, cause its doing a maximum damage of 200/400/600(+1.5 per bonus attack damage). Imagine a target that got 5 stacks of Hemorrhage, will receive damage equal to 600 + 356 = 956 True damage from one skill that can be used on all five enemies! The damage increases up to 11% if your life is under 60%, because of Last Stand. But the most important TOOL that Darius got is his passive Hemorrhage. This passive allows him to WIN any trade HE WANTS. To win a lane is about how many stacks of your passive you can give to your enemy.

With this build Darius will have:
340+ AD, 3700+ Health, around 200+ Armor and 90+ Magic Resistance (depends on the items you build) and INSANELY big amount of damage and sustain, because of the combination of items and runes.
To put them in numbers, you will have healing: 9% from Conqueror, 15% from Elixir of Wrath, healing and shielding from Sterak's Gage, healing from Decimate and everything will be multiplied by 25%, because of Spirit Visage.

No matter what, this build will make you the STRONGEST monster in your games!
Let's continue with the runes and why they are going to be the strongest ones by far.

There is nothing BETTER than the runes you are about to see right now. And we will explain WHY this combination of runes will make Darius a MONSTER!

	Conqueror offers stacking damage and healing for sustained trades, which is great for Darius.
	Triumph provides often unexpected healing after takedowns, making it a great Darius rune. Also the extra Gold per kill is great, because Darius is a lane bully and tries to get a few kills early on.
	Legend: Alacrity will help you stack your passive Hemorrhage faster.
	Last Stand will give you a small edge in low health situations.
	Nimbus Cloak has a great synergy with Ghost. You gain even more movement speed.
	Celerity has a great synergy with Ghost and Nimbus Cloak. You gain even more movement speed.

As you saw, these runes make Darius insanely powerful early and EVEN MORE POWERFUL Late game.
No matter what, you will always be the STRONGEST!
Now you understood the runes, its time to move to the secret behind our item choices!!

Lets start with the Items and our Items Strategy (and detailed explanation about WHY we are getting them). I come up with this build after hundreds of different combinations, to create this final build that cant lose vs ANYTHING and ANYONE! If I find anything stronger I will change it immediately, but right now this is the strongest build for Darius.

Starting Items
We will always start with Doran's Shield plus Health Potion. Start items are extremely gold efficiency (making them worth much more of their actual value. While you are in combat, Doran's Shield has 300% gold efficiency. That means its goes up to 1350 gold worth of stats.

On your first back and here is where is the MOST IMPORTANT PART of making you the strongest from early to full late game, you will buy 2 more Doran's Blade the combo of the 3 dorans while only paying 900 gold (plus the 1 that you got from lvl 1) is going to give you stats that won’t be compared with ANY OTHER ITEM and with such a low amount of gold to have stats that worth an ENTIRE COMPLETE ITEM. You will start selling your first doran item while starting buying your THIRD ITEM (never before that, we will keep the dorans items till full late game and sell it one by one as we proceed with the next core-items).
Also in your first back if you got the gold buy also a Refillable Potion this will let you have health pots all lane phase long with only 150 gold that you will sell later on for 60 gold, so with only 90 total gold. You will have pots that you will use at least 6 times (2 times going back to the base). That means 6 x 50 gold per health pot = 300 gold while only paying literally 90 gold! This game is not only about complete items. It is about small things like what I said above that will make you stronger than all. These health pots will always help you survive in lane phase, outdamage your enemies and end up being the STRONGEST till you get your first complete items to overpower them all completely. By playing with a start like that, you will secure having your items FASTER, yep, not sooner but FASTER, if you go and check out the stats while playing with our style of sites that got the average time that you getting your first, second and third item that will be compared with others, you will realize that the time that you got your items is not MORE but LESS than others!!


After your 3 dorans you will start building your Mythic item Stridebreaker. This item will give you AD, HP, Ability Haste, Attack Speed and an amazing active effect. Deal damage to the enemies around you and slow them by 40% for 3 seconds! That means after using this item they can't run away from you anymore.
The first part item that you will always buy is Ironspike Whip. With this you will have bonus AD and an active that deals good damage. That will make you powerful enough to keep destroying all! Don't forget to use it!
REMEMBER and this is IMPORTANT, we are not selling the Doran's Blade or Doran's Shield before we start building our 3RD ITEM that is going to be Dead Man's Plate, the only thing that you will sell is your Refillable Potion.
After finishing Stridebreaker you will start building your next item. That will be ALWAYS Sterak's Gage. The reason this item is so important to have is because of its stats and passive effect.
You will have much AD, HP and a big shield effect that will help you survive ANYTHING the enemy throws against you from the very early stages of the game till the full late game!
Then, its time to move to the next item that is going to be Dead Man's Plate.
And now you will sell your first Doran's Blade. Right now you will have damage, sustain and all the ability to fight any target and make them do close to zero damage while healing easily. After finishing Dead Man's Plate you will be able to easily go all in, even 1v5 and, because of the AMAZING effects that you have, you have the ability to not only survive but also kill them all. With Flash, Ghost, Nimbus Cloak, Celerity, Stridebreaker and Dead Man's Plate you will have the ability to catch anyone and prevent them from escaping!

After Dead Man's Plate our next item is going to be Spirit Visage. We already got plenty of damage so this is going to be a defensive. You will multiply your heals and shields by 25%. That means the healing that you are getting from Decimate (that is huge) will also grow stronger and your shield from Sterak's Gage will be even bigger!

The last item is going to be Death's Dance. It gives you AD and armor. The passive helps you survive team fights and 1v5 situation even more. This will help you to kill them ALL.

The last part are the situational items. There are only two for Darius.
The first one is Thornmail. This item is a good option if the enemy team is full AD.
The second item is Guardian Angel. Pick it up if you're at threat of dying in late game team fights.

No matter what, follow the item path and runes that I described above and you will be ready to show the world why Darius is beyond BROKEN!!!

Use Darius’ early game aggression to get a lead in the lane. Gaining a significant health or kill lead over the enemy will increase your chances of winning the game. Always go for extended trades as often as you can. Thanks to your Passive, you’ll always come out ahead in most cases. Use your level 6 power spike to get kills in lane and start to snowball. Your Ultimate Noxian Guillotine can be used as an execute, so it should help you get a lead.

When no team fights are occurring, look to split push and FIGHT the enemy who tries to stop you. Darius is a strong 1v1 champion and can fight most laners who are put up against him. Look to use your Ultimate Noxian Guillotine at the last possible second in every fight. Getting resets on your Ultimate will increase your chances of winning the fight. When you do team fight, look to peel and focus the closest enemy champion. You can soak damage and deal loads at the same time.

Peel for your allies and keep them alive for as long as possible. If you’re ahead, try to take down the enemy backline. If you’re not strong, use your Apprehend to peel for your allies. Stick with your team in the late game. Do not split up or walk away from them otherwise the enemy may try to pick you off or initiate a 4v5 fight when you’re away from your team. Flank in team fights to make getting on the enemy backline easily. Make sure you’re near your team at all times so you can get in the fight fast.
