Renekton
Don't fight him when he has over 50 Fury. Don't fight him when your Riposte (W) is down, unless his Ruthless Predator (W) is also down (keep in mind that it has a 13 second CD at level 1). Try to start off a trade by hitting a Vital. If you manage to parry his W and stun him consistently, this will be an easy matchup.
I'm going to be re-using a lot of the stuff from the old guide.

Fiora

This includes knowing how to split-push, lane matchups, reading your opponent, wave control and manipulation, and predicting enemy abilities. I cannot stress this enough because if you don't get an early lead, chances are that you'll be useless for the rest of the game. I strongly recommend against playing Fiora if you have poor game knowledge.
With that being said though, I won't stop you from playing her if you don't care about the above warning. Just don't be surprised if your Fiora games are going terribly and you "don't know why."

Whenever you're near your opponents, a small arc called a Vital will appear on one of their sides in a cardinal direction (north, south, west, east). Below is an example of a Vital when it appears on an enemy:
![]() |
The Vital here is facing south.
|
Hitting the Vital with a basic attack or ability will deal bonus true damage (based off enemy's max HP), grant you bonus movement speed, and heal you. Hitting a Vital will spawn a new one in a different direction. Vitals take 1.75 seconds before you can proc them and last 13.25 seconds before disappearing (for a total of 15 seconds).

Example of hitting a Vital.
|
tl;dr: Vitals are important when trading in lane. Not only does hitting them deal more damage, they give you some sustain in lane and offers extra mobility to hit additional Vitals. If the enemy is smart, they can back off far enough from you to force the Vital to reappear in a different direction.
Vitals do NOT appear randomly. The direction alternates between north/east and south/west. For example, if you hit a Vital on the southern side, the next Vital can appear either in the northern or eastern side.

Vitals alternating between north/east and south/west.
|
Quick Tip #1: Vitals will not appear on the enemy if they do not have vision of you.
If you're hiding in a bush and a Vital appears on a nearby enemy, that bush is warded.
Quick Tip #2: Shaco and LeBlanc clones are easy to spot.
If a Vital appears on the real Shaco/LeBlanc, it will stay in the same direction when they clone themselves. The fake decoy will not have a Vital when it initially spawns.
Quick Tip #3: The first Vital that spawns on the enemy is not random.
The first Vital will appear on the south or west side. This gives Fiora a slightly better advantage if starting on the blue team.

Example of Lunge.
|

This is a simple dash ability that can hit enemies at the end of the range. Lunge also applies on-hit effects and can proc Vitals. Hitting an enemy with Lunge will reduce the cooldown by 60%. The base cooldown is 16 seconds at level 1, so try not to miss.
Quick Tip #1: Lunge can hit structures.
Use the ability in between auto attacks to take turrets down faster.
Quick Tip #2: Lunge can hit invisible enemies.
Hitting an enemy with Lunge will make a silhouette of their character appear briefly.
The notes on the Wiki go over all the in-depth details needed to know about the ability: |

Example of Riposte.
|

Activating this will make you invulnerable to all non-turret damage for the next 0.75 seconds. Afterwards, Fiora deals damage to all enemies in a line. The first enemy champion hit by Riposte has their movement and attack speed slowed by 50% for the next 1.5 seconds. If Fiora blocked at least one immobilizing effect (snare, stun, suspension, etc.), Riposte will stun the target instead.
Personally, I consider Riposte to be 30-40% of Fiora's kit. It's a very good ability but a very risky one. Its cooldown at level 1 is 24 seconds and wasting it can cost you your life.
Timing a good Riposte requires predicting when the enemy uses their abilities. Some abilities have no delay to react to and require mostly luck to block them, such as Lee Sin's ultimate

Quick Tip #1: Riposte can be used with Lunge.
You can use Riposte while in the animation of Lunge to perform a Q+W combo. There is a visual bug with this combo as Riposte's damage and debuffs will only apply in the area that the ability was activated in.
You can use this combo if you know you're getting CCed while dashing away from them. This avoids the CC and damage and can also stun someone.
Quick Tip #2: Dragon, Rift Herald, and Baron knock ups can be parried.
Riposte can block the knock up from the epic monsters and stun an enemy. You can use this to your advantage when fighting around the objective.

Example of Bladework.
|

Activating this will give you bonus attack speed for the next two auto attacks. The first auto attack is guaranteed to slow the enemy for 1 second, while the second auto attack is guaranteed to critically strike. Bladework's slow and critical damage do not apply with Lunge's on-hit effects.
The extra critical damage can be applied to structures like turrets.
Quick Tip #1: Bladework resets Fiora's auto attacks.
Use it immediately after an auto attack to get some more damage in your combos.
Quick Tip #2: Bladework gains 25 attack range.
The bonus range is applied for both of the empowered attacks. This information can be useful in a clutch scenario.

Example of Grand Challenge.
|

Activating the ability will highlight all 4 Vitals on an enemy for the next 8 seconds. Fiora's passive will not identify new Vitals on the target while under Grand Challenge (go figure).
![]() |
This is what activating Grand Challenge will look like on someone.
|
If the target dies and you've hit at least one Vital, a large healing circle is created. The circle can also be created if all four Vitals were hit, even if the enemy doesn't die. The duration of the circle depends on how many Vitals you hit (lasts for 1 second + # of Vitals hit, so 3 Vitals hit = 4 seconds).
In teamfights, it's best to use the ultimate on someone that is easy to activate the healing zone. Whether it's through killing them or hitting all 4 Vitals depends on the game, either way, the extra healing can benefit your entire team and turn around fights.
Quick Tip #1: Grand Challenge's zone gives Fiora bonus movement speed.
Not only does this makes it easier to run around the enemy to hit the other Vitals, but it can be a great escape tool as well.

The best summoners to take for Fiora are Teleport and Flash. |
![]() |
|
Teleport lets you gank bot lane if they need help. It lets you go back to your lane quickly and not miss out on experience from minions or to assist your bottom lane in a skirmish. It gives map control and pressure when split pushing later in the game.
Learning how to use Teleport effectively is a whole skill on its own. It is very important that you have knowledge on Teleport for carrying as Fiora. |
Ignite/Flash or Exhaust/Flash gives you an easier chance to snowball early on and are most useful against another duelist-style champion such as Riven. These spells are not recommended in Ranked play since you'll be missing out on all of the benefits from Teleport, especially after laning phase.
Ignite/Exhaust may be better to take in lower elos if you have trouble using Teleport. I still strongly suggest learning how to use it though. |
Ghost has a lower cooldown than Flash and its extra movement speed lets you stick to targets. It's something to mention as it could be worth using against some matchups. Probably.
