Hi, I'm Juicy. I hit challenger in season 8 and have been playing Udyr since season 4.

I took some time figuring out the best build path for Udyr during this current patch and so far this has been the most broken.

This is my first ever guide/build path so I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do since it's extremely broken when you use udyr's passive properly by using the 2 autos and then empowered autos right after for max damage. You can completely blow them up by having E up and Awaken bar full so you can double Q them then W away, which will almost always guarantee you a pick on any champ as long as you don't have hard cc on you. Try to always keep an eye on your awaken bar level and look for trades whenever it's full or close to full before engaging to maximize your damage potential in any drawn-out team fight or easy pick on a tank or squishy champ. I will continue to update this build with any further revisions I find to be more powerful than it already is. AD Udyr is very strong right now and the demonic on top of his Q not only deals AD but also max health magic damage. Trust me, they won't expect your damage with this build so use it before everyone finds out!

You will 100% be able to solo Baron & Elder if needed with this build.

Q for insane Shred
W for insane Lifesteal
E for cc cleanse (immune to crowd control briefly)

As Udyr, every game you have an opportunity to cheese invade by telling your team to "fake invade" by invading their bot side jungle as a team looking for picks where you will be on the enemy's top side buff alone where you can solo the buff and 1 camp before you need to leave back to your side of the jungle to assure you don't give away your cheese by getting picked clearing the third camp since by then the enemy jungler will be next to you most likely. Solo clearing the enemy jungle needs to be quick and using smite can be necessary to escape the cheese alive to continue to harass later.


For best clear on Udyr, you should always leave 2 Q autos and have another Q up for right after those 2 autos and repeat with empowered as well on Q and you can add an empowered W for strong healing and survivability.


Make sure to always ward enemy jungler entry paths where they will most likely walk through before they get to you so not only you will know when to leave before they see you but also if your laners see as well and have prio then they can come in for a bigger cheese by killing the unsuspecting jungler.


Always look to gank right after your third camp clear (including after an invade) for an easy early lead for you or your team in the way where you'll have very good ms from E and I recommend binding a key for "target champions only" so that you don't need to worry about hitting a minion with an aggressive gank while they don't expect it. If you decide to gank mid right after the third camp make sure your mid-laner knows you're coming so that he may try to freeze wave to force them to walk up allowing you to avoid bush wards and coming around back the long way close to their tower from behind them so they are forced to either flash away or give first blood away to either you or your mid laner.


Right after your successful gank mid which in most cases it will be since they won't expect you behind them that early in almost every elo under master, you will have a good lead and good prio for you to take both scuttle crabs and have vision on both sides of the jungle for your team.


Udyr's solo clear is very good at level 4 so you can easily take objectives while your team shoves their lanes so usually the only person who can contest you will be the enemy jungler, but by the time they realize you're taking the objective it should be already an asset to your team if you play things right by making sure there is no vision or nobody has seen you in that area in the last 30 seconds or so.


If the enemy jungler is spotted ganking bot lane while you're top, you should look for an easy rift herald pickup if your laners up top side are doing well and move to shove mid as soon as possible while bot lane is busy with their jungler for an easy tower mid before 14:00 minutes for tower plate gold, which will then allow your mid laner to roam freely to snowball hard without any worries because you as the jungler can always cover his mid tower if they try to push in and follow.


Early game, a rift herald will bring your team a lot more help than first dragon pick if you can setup a good fight and take mid tower(s). Although if the dragon is Infernal, Hextech, or Chem then it may be better for you to look to setup your team for the most prio for that first dragon and still take contest rift by pinging your top laner to have vision up there for you to rotate right after.


Always pay attention to what smite you currently have as opposed to your enemy jungler for a clear smite advantage when contesting objectives. 600, 900, 1200.


Make sure to always watch the enemy jungle and mirror him. So if he just appeared bot side jungle then path top side jungle into his camps and clear them with ease and rotate to a gank or objective right after. If at any point in the game you start to realize how strong you are with is typically after tri force if you get it before they get first item you can forget about mirroring them and instead look to counter gank and take towers to make them completely useless and beg their team to ff. I typically back around 2000 gold for a quick sheen, hearthbound axe, and boots for a big lead coming back since udyr's base damage early is still quite a bit, plus I like bm'ing them cause I'm an udyr main as you should. Udyr's clear is insane right now so always keep this in mind. Always have vision in his jungle to give you and your team all the information you need to counter-gank or set up plays or more of a lead for yourself by counter jungling even though they kind of nerfed it, it makes no difference if you're playing udyr with my build. Play smart, and make quick and proper decisions and the enemy jungle will be completely useless against you and your team every game.
