Champion Build Guide
Know Your Jungle Matchups!
- The only thing that you need to pay attention to with your matchup is their burst potential in the early game, more specifically, before level 6 when you get your power spike. If you are facing someone like Lee Sin or Xin Zhao, you need to be sure to build into Skirmisher's Sabre and not Stalker's Blade. If the enemy jungler is not superior early, then take Stalker's Blade for Chilling Smite.
Jungle Pathing:
- You can start either buff that you want: blue or red. Be sure to get the buff you are not starting to be warded by a teamate. This will tell you if you need to vertical jungle or not.
Starting Blue Buff:
Normal - Blue -> Gromp -> Wolves -> Raptors -> Red -> Gank -> Scuttle
Vertical - Blue -> Gromp -> Enemy Red -> Enemy Raptors -> Enemy Krugs -> Gank..
Starting Red Buff
Normal - Red -> Raptors -> Wolves -> Blue -> Gromp -> Gank -> Scuttle
Vertical - Red -> Raptors -> Enemy Blue -> Enemy Wolves -> Enemy Gromp -> Gank..
How to Gank:
Normal: This is when the enemy is either pushed into your laner's tower or the waves are equal at the middle of the lane. Use oracle lens if you have it to look for wards and ping that you are ganking. Walk up to the enemy laner and Auto Attack; This will create a slow on the enemy allowing your ally to engage. Use 'Q' and 'W' whenever possible and continue to auto attack. Wait for the enemy to flash and then, if it is possible to kill them, use your leap 'E' to re-engage and get the killing blow. Chilling smite is also an option if you have it throughout this entire process.
*Pro-strat: if you are fighting near brush and the enemy has no flash or is already slowed, walk into the brush to gain your passive slow and then re-engage with flash, 'E', or just walk up and Auto Attack.*
Tower Dive: This is when your laner has poked down the enemy extremely low and pushed them under their tower. Only engage if the enemy is low enough for a quick burst. Unlike the normal gank, you want to use your 'E' to immediately stick to the enemy under tower. Follow this up with and Auto Attack, 'Q', and 'W'. Use Chilling Smite as well if you have it. If you are level 6, you can use your ultimate to escape the enemy tower faster.
Objectives:
- Always make sure to ward objectives whenever you can. Whenever Kha'zix gets his level 6 spike with evolved 'Q', he can solo dragon. Look to solo if your team is ahead or the enemy jungler is killed and there is an opening. Be aware of the current state of the game.
Evolved 'E' is Fun...
- Once you are level 11 or 16, whichever one where you evolve your 'E', the game becomes a game of leap frog. I'm Serious. Get your team to ward everywhere. Look for isolated enemies. Press 'E', then 'Q', then 'E' again.... 'R' occasionally....
Conclusion:
- I hope this guide has helped someone learn to play Kha'zix jungle. He is a super fun and bursty champ. I am a low ELO player so do not take all of my comments to heart. Please comment below if you have any tips for me in general. Thank you...
