Why play Milio?

PROS

is an easy champion to start playing. He scales very well into the late game and is quite flexible as he can easily support different members of the team as opposed to who is slightly more restricted. also has a safe disengage tool in his which can peel enemies off of your teammates, but can also be used to deny jumps/dash abilities such as and . A teamwide cleanse in his is also an incredible tool for safety.

CONS

- Can't ult if hard CCed

In the early game has troubles with both long cooldowns and his small mana pool. If he gets engaged on without reacting with his he can very easily be bursted and he can also struggle against long ranged poke as using his shields constantly will very easily eat into his mana pool. The healing on his is fairly negligible especially early on so if he gets poked he's going to stay low for a while.

Runes

SORCERY

is your standard enchater choice as it gives you just that little extra bit of shielding as well as some damage as well.

is a great choice on as he struggles with mana in the early game.

gives you haste which you need to help with the long cooldowns of 's spells.

While might look enticing, it's only procced if you hit your which isn't very reliable so that's why I would rather recommend going for .

RESOLVE

gives you more healing and shielding and then you take either if you're against engage, if you're against poke or if it's a free laning phase.

INSPIRATION

Going isn't as strong as , but it gives you which helps with his mana problems. It also gives you a bit more summoner spell and item haste from which is better than nothing, but I think going is just the stronger secondary choice.

Haste helps with 's long cooldowns and scales very well. If you're worried about the enemy team you can consider taking instead of . You should also take instead of in the third row if you're against an engage botlane for more safety early on.

Items

Insane healing and damage
This item is really busted and Milio is the best abuser of it because the damage from your passive from teammates gives you a soul shard without needing to put yourself in any danger. If it's safe for you to walk up and AA you should as it gives more shards.

Enchance fire with water
Staff of flowing water is really good on as you can easily and frequently give the movespeed buff to a lot of your teammates.

Attack speed buff
Ardent censer is really gold efficient, especially when you buff your entire team with it.

Spread the love
Moonstone is such a great item on enchanters as it buffs your heals and shields so much on single targets or spreads them if teammates are nearby. If you have either or then the buffs from those items also spread.

Big teamfight heal
Redemption is a great teamfight item, it helps in keeping your entire team alive during a fight. Don't be afraid of using it before a fight if you're about to take an objective.

Anti-heal
Milio is one of the few enchanters that can super safely apply antiheal on the enemy team because of from his teammates. You shouldn't finish until you have nothing else to spend money on.

Anti hard CC
Mikael's Blessing can also be used on yourself just like a in case you got stunned and can't use to cleanse for your entire team.

zoooom~~
If you want even more movespeed than what you're getting from then this is a really good active to have if your team wants a lot of movespeed to run at the enemy. Can also be used if you need to run away to fight another day.

Abilities

Passive: Fired Up!

Full Ability Description

Innate: Milio's ability hits on himself and allied champions grant an enchantment for 4 seconds, which causes the next basic attack or ability hit against enemies to deal 15% of their AD bonus magic damage and apply a burn that deals 15 − 50 (based on level) (+ 20% AP) magic damage over 1.5 seconds.

Whenever one of your abilities touches a teammate their next attack or ability will deal extra damage and apply a burn.

General tips
✦This damage safely applies your Oblivion Orb and gains soul shards from Echoes of Helia without you needing to put yourself in danger.

Q: Ultra Mega Fire Kick

Full Ability Description

Active: After a 0.25-second delay, Milio kicks a fireball in the target direction that grants Sight icon sight of its path and Airborne icon knocks back and Stun icon stuns the first enemy it hits over 1 second.

Upon collision, the ball bounces once in the same direction from the target's location, granting sight of the area before exploding in the same radius after a brief delay, dealing magic damage to enemies hit and Slow icon slowing them for 1.5 seconds.

If the primary target is a non-champion, the ball knocks back further and creates a larger explosion.

Milio cannot cast other abilities during Ultra Mega Fire Kick's delay.

Your Q kicks out a fireball that will knock back the enemy it hits a small distance, but the range is extended if hits a minion and an enemy champion is nearby.

General tips
✦If it passes through your teammate it also applies Fired Up! onto them.

W: Cozy Campfire

Full Ability Description

Active: Milio summons a fuemigo at the target location or upon the target allied champion for 6 seconds that follows the nearest allied champion and grants sight of its surroundings. Allied champions near the fuemigo gain bonus attack range equal to a percentage of their base attack range and heal every 0.264 seconds over the duration.

Cozy Campfire can be recast after 0.5 seconds within the duration.

Recast: Milio commands the fuemigo to follow the target allied champion to within 150-units, placing the recast on a 0.5-second static cooldown.

Milio counts as an allied champion for this ability. Cozy Campfire may grant Fired Up! upon being summoned and at most once every 3 seconds thereafter.

Your W is a small healing circle that follows your targeted champion around for 6 seconds and gives everyone that was healed by it extra attack range.

General tips
✦The extra range buff lasts the entire duration of the ability even if the teammate isn't still inside the circle, so you can easily give the buff to all your teammates.
✦This is a great way of applying your Staff of Flowing Water and/or your Ardent Censer on all of your teammates.

E: Warm Hugs

Full Ability Description

Active: Milio envelops himself or the target allied champion in protective flames, granting the target a shield and bonus movement speed for 2.5 seconds.

Milio periodically stocks a Warm Hugs charge, up to a maximum of 2.

Warm Hugs' effects can stack up to 2 times.

Your E is a shield and you have two charges of it. This enables you to easily shield yourself and AA the enemy in lane for a really safe trade and still having a shield ready in case they want to extend the trade.

General tips
✦As you have two charges of your shield you should try to space them out between AA so that you get more value from your passive.
✦If you can safely attack the enemy in lane you should shield yourself before the trade so you apply your passive to the enemy which will give two procs from your support item and also being a very health positive trade.

R: Breath of Life

Full Ability Description

Active: Milio explodes in soothing flames, healing and cleansing himself and nearby allied champions of non-airborne crowd control, and granting them 65% tenacity for 3 seconds.
Milio cannot cast his other abilities for 0.75 seconds after Breath of Life's activation. Breath of Life cannot be used while affected by cast-inhibiting crowd control.

Your Ult is essentially an AOE Mikael's Blessing. When you're in the loading screen you should look at the enemy team and recognize the threats they have that you can remove using Breath of Life, e.g Wither, Nether Grasp or Enchanted Crystal Arrow and look out for them in teamfights.

General tips
✦You can use your ult to cleanse slows on yourself, but it doesn't work like Quicksilver Sash meaning you cant use it if you yourself get hard CCed so you need to position safely and not clump together.
