Hi I'm Monstars and this is my first guide here on mobafire..
and currently im Silver V division and i mainly play solo top Wukong and i have alot of tips and tricks that i want to share with you guys based from experience.

I don't normally build Wukong a regular bruiser top but after alot of games and trial and error with my build i am confident that my build can help other Wukong players, i just see wukong as a great initiator in teamfight and survive after diving with his ultimate on the enemy team.

this is just a work in progress and im not used to in making guides...so please bear with me here..(i might upload videos of my gameplays with wukong not sure when i can have the time)

Pros

+ Great Burst Damage
+ Good at harassing the enemy
+ Excellent solo top champion
+ Skills take little mana usage
+ Can escape ganks and teamfights when skills are used correctly


Cons

- a bit squishy in early games
- needs items to be great
- diving with ultimate can be a great punish to wukong

greater mark of armor penetration
I take armor penetration marks to do more damage for his Crushing Blow, it can also be replaced for attack damage marks for more AD.

Greater Seal of Armor
getting armor seals will make you more tankier early game in laning

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist


Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage

Ignite this spell is really handy on getting first bloods and preventing the enemy champion from gaining health. (using Ignite in Nimbus Strike, Crushing Blow, Cyclone combo can make a sure kill if you know your damage output.)

Ghost using ghost can really help chasing enemies or used for escaping if needed. (When i see the chance to dive just to get a kill i normaly activate Ghost so i can enter and exit turret range faster)

Other Summoner Spells

Taking flash is great but i seldom switch it with Ghost since it has a longer cooldown


Using teleport is good for solo top champions to gain more creep score and faster laning


I would take heal in replacement for ignite when I'm up against an aggressive enemy champion


Exhaust is great for ad carries like Jax, Xin Zhao, Jayce to reduce movement speed and attack speed.

Stone Skin

Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased for each nearby enemy champion

Wukong's passive has great synergy with Defender and Legendary Armor since Defender adds 1 armor and magic resistance to his passive while Legendary Armor gives you more armor and magic resistance during in teamfights.

Crushing Blow

Wukong's next attack deals additional damage, gains range, and reduces enemy's armor for a short duration

Wukong's first skill, Crushing Blow is his bread and butter dealing high burst damage and reduces enemy champions armor for a short time, goes great with Nimbus Strike, Crushing Blow combo to takeout some life from the enemy.
(procs Sheen and Iceborn Gauntlet)
(getting items with armor penetration or armor reduction has great synergy with this ability.)

Decoy

Wukong becomes invisible for 1.5 seconds. an unconrtolable is left behind that will deal magic damage to enemies near it after 1.5

Warrior Trickster is your initiating ability or to avoid ganks and escaping teamfights. getting the timing correctly when using it enemy champions may use their ultimate and summoner spells on your Warrior Trickster.
(getting more cooldown reduction is good with this skill so it can be activated again and again after a short period of time)
(procs Sheen and Iceborn Gauntlet)

Nimbus Strike

Wukong dashes towards a target and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck.

Nimbus Strike is a great initiator tool for Wukong dashing out from bushes and gains attack speed after the animation and is great for farming creeps.
(procs Sheen and Iceborn Gauntlet)

Cyclone

Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing damage and knocking up enemies on hit. Wukong gains movement speed bonus over the duration of the spell.

Wukong's ultimate dealing damage overtime when spinning and knocking enemy minions and champions up.. he can also turn Cyclone if needed, that is why Wukong can be a big help in teamfights.

(stacks Black Cleaver really fast as you use Cyclone)

Using Crushing Blow to punish enimies when trying to gain creep score.
(i try to stay between the enemie's melee and range minions to zone him out)

Pressing "S" into faking the use of Warrior Trickster helps Wukong to save his life.
(most players already knows about this but still handy from time to time)

When destroying a Turret be sure to use Nimbus Strike on enemy minions to gain attack speed boost, and using Crushing Blow on the turret to do additional damage.

Using Warrior Trickster in bushes for ganking is great and then using Nimbus Strike, Crushing Blow, Cyclone combo really punishes the enemy.

when using Cyclone to initiate be sure to activate Randuin's Omen when you see the animation of Cyclone starts so enemy champions would have a hard time avoiding your ultimate.
(i activate Warrior Trickster right after the animation of Cyclone stops to avoid any crowd control after using ult and go for any squishy targets)

Juking is where Wukong shines using Warrior Trickster and pressing "S" at the right time and using Nimbus Strike on enemy minions can really gain alot of distance away from enemy champions.
(going into the tip of the bushes and use Warrior Trickster may or may not commit the enemy champion on pursuing you on that path where your Warrior Trickster is facing)
